Great for what I got them for
Know what you are buying here: budget, small speakers with thin MDF cabinets. They are not bulletproof. They will not hold a candle to real PA speakers from Peavey or EV nor will they produce sub bass frequencies. However, these work great for what I ask of them in a small room/party setting. They are clear and loud with good crossover frequencies between the drivers.
For the curious, the speaker components can be purchased directly from Parts Express. Goldwood is an established economy speaker manufacturer. The models of each component follows:
Goldwood GT-1025 horn - $4
Goldwood GW-208 woofer - $20
Goldwood GM-85/8 midrange - $10
One glaring issue (docked one star) - these will NEVER handle 1200 watts. The drivers claim to handle between 60-100 watts RMS (which I'd even be suspicious of). If you attempt to drive these with that powerful of an amp, you will have very expensive paperweights. I'm driving them with a true 50 watt amp, and they sound great.
If they come in one piece and you have realistic expectations, you'll be happy.
