Mac m1 compatible even this is second hand

they do not support entry customers by registering the used interface... that Audient really is a minus.. Arturia for example let deregister their products and register again while maintaining the serials and that bulsht... but it works... and it works flawlessly I compare the fifine mixer like a child toy even its very funny to use and reliable... presonus usb96 cost me 50 bucks used but again the owner did not registered the audio interphase and while having a lot of plugins and the works... it failed.. sounds better than the last one but believe me, its not even close to this think... firmwares is the only think you can download and one driver that all... but really sounds super... btw I used eris5 bt and not even the half and they are sweating and stuttering hehehe,,, powerbook m1 13 and ventura works flawlessly I even can scroll pages and control volume.. and I am here looking for the manual! but I read someone that can make it work with his Mac... mine was just plug and play... bye bye pre bogus and fifine... beautiful present christmas for my nephew hope this works to you!

Sweet audio box, well worth the extra bucks

This device takes over audio control from the other workhorse of my music teaching practice, a trusty MacBook Pro. It makes possible clear, warm, rich musical sound in my online music teaching and (low-latency) performing. Somewhere its startup kit should mention that the huge volume knob turns freely without limit. Thus you can't break it by turning it too far, and you must turn it enough times to hear the signals you are being sent. Also, while it accepts mic input from a 1/4" jack, it only pre-amplifies mic input from XLR. If I'd realized these things at the start, I would have jumped for joy days earlier. Otherwise, trouble-free, sensitive, and built like a tank, in a good way.

Superb Audio Interface For Computer

I use this with my Rode NT1 Mike and the sound quality is fantastic. I love the headphone monitoring and how you can adjust the blend to the headphone. If you do Podcasts or Voice-over work I highly recommend.

There is no noise or hum what so ever and sounds as good as the much more expensive models.

The only reason I did not give it five stars is that the instructions could have been a little better.

Best choice to upgrade;D

Man I needed to upgrade cause the Stainburg is not bad if starting out, however when I got the 1d4 at first thought didn't work XD but you needed to download the software then when open it and connected it works now, from using this interface I will say it is amazing it is soo clear and clean, pretty cool with the big knob control the volume on your headphones and the other knobs are pretty good just need to try getting to it how you want it after few tests and you'll be good to go which it be worth it cause it is really an improvement for your quality, Not to mention great for Editing audio, Voice Acting, and this is more of a bonus listening this thing with studio headphones while playing video games cause love Skullgirls soundtrack and the action was cool so you could maybe use it for let's play. So this is a must have for anything that related with a Mic :D

Good product, but didn’t last long after warranty

This was a great product for about a year. After a year of use, the mic input stopped working on my device. It was ever more interesting considering I rarely used XLR on the device, and would typically plug my 1/4” into the front of the device, which shows it’s not wear and tear. I was warned interfaces can be delicate so I’ve taken extra careful care of it. About 3 months after that, my monitor outputs starting going haywire, only producing half the sound to the right side all of a sudden, even after switching monitors and cables and everything, no matter what I swap around I get the same thing out. Weird.

Mind you, I was 3 days past the 1 year warranty when I contacted audient and they could do nothing for me.

Everything was great about the product, I just needed it to last me more than a year. It’s built like a brick shit house made of steel so one would not anticipate a tank of an interface to go bad considering I have junk ones made of plastic that still work well.

It may have been defective, otherwise, My guess at this point is these engineers are genius’s and were forced by the marketing and sales team to rig my device to fail after the warranty lol!

Amazing! Beats The Focusrite Scarlett In Clarity

Almost bought the focusrite scarlett which is by no means a slacker as a preamp / interface, but I watched various YouTube videos comparing the two and the audient always seemed to sound clearer and fuller / weightier / more analog. Now that I've actually had it for about a month and use it with my Cad e100s microphone I'm literally in love with this thing and its sound. I literally get incredible clean gain, low noise, and an amazing sound that accurately reflects what the microphone is capturing. So long as you have a good microphone, you don't really have to do much or any EQing. Really couldn't be happier with this. I almost got the id22 but the id4 had one mic input and di input which was really all I needed and you can simply plug it into your laptop and go, you don't need a wall outlet as it gets the power from the usb port. I can literally record audio anywhere or even in my car.

Great for voiceover!

Absolutely amazing for voiceover work. I’m very simple with my needs as I do voiceover work. I was debating between this and the Babyface pro. A huge price difference to say the least. I’m glad I bought this. Clean preamps and little to no noise. Worth it. Fits in my backpack and I’m on my way.

An excellent, clean, and high-quality audio interface

Coming from a Behringer UMC202HD, a pretty budget but extremely reliable and decent audio interface, I was a bit skeptical of the audio improvement I would get from the Audient iD4.

I use an Electrovoice RE320 into a DBX 286s to the Audient iD4, and some things were extremely apparent.

First, the Audient provides a healthy level of output, going up to 12+ dbu compared to the Behringer, allowing me to get just a bit more gain and volume out of my audio.

Second, the build quality on the Audient is amazing: a tough all-aluminum construction and metal knobs without wiggle.

Finally, and most importantly, the Audient has extremely clean, high-quality audio preamps. I hear absolutely no hissing, buzzing, or interference whatsoever, and my audio sounds crisp and clear.

I have to say, for 199.99 USD for the Audient iD4, I am impressed with the product I received. Absolutely no regrets here.
