Great unit. Big upgrade

Very versatile unit. Great value. Giving up my old lowrance unit i was very hesitant, but man is t this a better unit. Not only is the view clear in bright sunlight but the unit has various display options.

Simple to use

This is my first DEPTH finder and I mglad I got it. Super simple to use great to see structure and depth.

ripped me off

I got this as a Christmas gift and finally installed it on my boat. It worked for a little while and now the transducer is dead on it. A real waste of money it seems. Very disappointed with the product and now it is to late to return it. I would be very wary about buying this product.

Garmin striker práctico y simple

Ha funcionado muy bien, sobre todo la generación de la carta. Eso es muy novedoso y práctico. Mu buena relación precio calidad. Yo tengo otro bote el modelo similar más viejo pero con la posibilidad de cargar cartas. Que sirve mucho, se hecha de menos eso.

Maps suck…

It doesn’t come with maps or chart plotter features. I am VERY disappointed after spending a few hours installing. I loved my ECHOMAP 44cv, but I feel like I wasted time and money on this unit. Plenty of other cheater options.

Be wary of the pictures, they can mislead you into thinking there’s map/chart plotting features. There are similar reviews to mine.

Works with some quirks

A little finicky sometimes, I have issues where the screen just freezes up but turning it off and back on fixes it. Caught fish using it so can’t complain.

Nice little fish/depth finder. I have nothing negative to say about it. Very easy to navigate. Has decent features. Don’t drain the battery.

Love the display

So i bought a pontoon boat and they had a a lower model on it.. liked it but had a few issues. Bought this and what a difference! Crisp and larger screen..im sold!

Best for the money

Great for the price. This thing packs alot into a small unit. The downside is the transducer is bigger but works well on the right side of transom if mounted 15” away from prop.

Not worth purchase the inside screen fogs up always and there's no way to to whip it. this unit is only 2 months old I have used it a handful of time

I have this fish finder on my kayak. Perfect tool to figure out the water temperature and depth. You’ll need to buy a circular base mount for it to work.

Takes the guess work out !

Game changer! I bought this for myself. I like to take my friends and family out fishing but I got tired of guessing where that dang school of fish is. Bottom line is that I put this unit in the boat and then we see the fish, throw the bait, catch the fish. What more can you ask for. You'll notice the Garmin striker in the photo. I know how to catch fish. That was never the issue. My catch rate per time spent on the water has greatly increased. Glad I have one.

Garmin makes great products, I've used the 450T handheld GPS for years and it's still going strong. They have the same great quality in fishing equipment.

Made of really cheap plastic

The base mount bracket crumbled to pieces. Before I ever had a chance to try to mount it. Really poor quality plastics.

I recently downgraded from a 10inch Garmin to this Striker unit. It is great for a smaller vessel like kayak. Light, compact, but with most features you need for any kind of fishing. Comes with great transducer that is also used with several much bigger units.

Pros - compact, light, inexpensive, all features you’ll find in a bigger unit

Cons - need sun guard because screen is small and with full sun, it is extremely hard to see anything. Mounting part is made out of thin plastic so not sure how much abuse it’ll take before breaking

Vivid 4c is the way to go

My first ever fish finder and this thing is easy to use, great screen, I bought a 3d printed sun screen works perfect. Highly recommend for small boat or kayak fishing.

Update on garmin striker the 6th time I used it water started collecting behind screen it started this 1week after

return window closed I made a expensive mistake guess I got a bad one it is what it is

Easily the best fish finder for this price !!!

I couldn't be happier with the value of this fish finder. I even had a custom transducer plate 3D printed for my Hobie. It was super easy to install, I run it off a Nocqua water proof battery and it is easy to setup and to clean after each trip. I would recommend this for any kayaker looking for a great value and a FF that doesn't take up much space.

I am very grateful to Garmin for such a novelty as striker vivid + 4cv! I hope that it will be a good helper in finding fish, especially in an unfamiliar pond! I think buyers will not be disappointed, I strongly recommend to buy! Let the big trophies make you happy! All the best!
