Great Performance, Easy Setup
I've been using this flash on a Canon R100, and so far it's been an enjoyable experience. Setup was smooth and quick, it communicated with the camera without any issues, TTL exposure has been accurate, and HSS has worked great for outdoor shooting and portraits. It easily synced with another Godox flash I have without any problems.
In actual use, the flash gives me natural looking light and dependable performance across a mix of product shots, stock work, events, family photos, travel, and portraits. Recycle time is good, nothing to slow me down, the controls are easy to navigate, and the unit feels well made and balanced on the camera. The menu system is not a touchscreen, so regular style navigation.
I haven't had any overheating, missed flashes, or any other reliability problems during longer sessions. One thing worth noting is battery drain increases quite a bit when using HSS heavily, so that may matter for longer outdoor sessions. Aside from that, I have very few complaints.
The included SU-1 sub flash is a nice add and useful for fill and creative lighting. Overall, I think this flash offers good value for the performance and features it provides and I can definitely recommend it.
