LOTS of music, but tiny font

This is great, but the font is veryyyy small, so it’s not something I’d be able to read unless the music stand was very close. Also, the binding isn’t the most secure because the book is SO big. Excellent variety of music though!

Big Heavy Book, but Worth It!

Great selection of songs, but the binding is terrible and it broke after opening it twice. The weight was also more than my music stand could handle. I bought some 3/4 inch combing and broke it up into 4 volumes with 200 pages each. Having the smaller volumes is much easier to manage. Still worth it for the variety of songs. There is something for everyone.

It's a big book - I'd prefer larger print - I'd say a good value

It's a big heavy book. I'd prefer larger print but with acute logic I gather that would mean less songs in the same size book so anyway... The binding is flimsy plastic. I put a pic showing it with a tuning fork and a soprano sax mouthpiece just for the musical theme. I think I may split the book up as I've seen in another review.. Based on a rough count of the section of table of contents that goes by decades there are about the following number of songs from each decade: 1910's with 20, 1920's about 60, 1930's about 135, 1940's only about 70, 1950's about 120, 1960's about 120, 1970's about 80, 1980's about 35, 1990's has 14 songs showing and 2000's with 3 songs. I'm a boomer and just browsing the contents I recognize a fair number of titles. This may be repeat info but a reminder this being a "fake book" it does not have full piano scores, only the words, melody, and chord symbols. I'm giving the book 4 stars.

Too big and heavy for my plastic music stand, solution

Love the book but 800 pages is way too big and heavy for my plastic stage piano music stand. So I split the pages into two books and fastened them with book rings. If you decide to do this, I used 1.5 inch rings and divided the 400 pages into three batches when I added them to the rings.

Old Song Book - Should be titled 300 songs

This book has a very limited selection of songs from 1960 forward. I did a rough count and there is only about 300 songs from 1960 - 2000's. That's only 25%

I have uploaded the table of contents for 1960's - 2000's.

I bought it and returned it. Hope you won't have to go through the same hassle.
