This innomaker uvc camera is truly plug and play. Just plug the usb cord into your computer and it will work. No fuss, no hassle, no drivers or software. I tested it using OBS on windows and it worked without any hassle what so ever.

The output is BLACK AND WHITE. i just want to make sure people know that. The advantages of this camera are that it has a global shutter, which means there are no artifacts from a "rolling shutter". This is very beneficial to anyone who wants to use this for AI or machine learning applications as the artifacts from rolling shutter can really mess up AI detection algorithms.

Plus because it is a UVC camera (USB Video Class) it will work without any drivers or special software. linux Windows etc.

Reliable Camera Module, but a Bit Pricey

This Camera Module functions as intended, capturing clear and detailed images that meet my expectations. It's a versatile piece of equipment, suitable for a variety of applications, from DIY electronics to more complex imaging projects.

The build quality of the camera module is decent. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, giving me confidence in its durability and longevity. The setup was straightforward, and I had no trouble integrating it with my existing hardware. The module worked seamlessly with my system, allowing me to get up and running quickly.

However, I do find the price to be on the higher side. Considering the features and performance, I expected a bit more value for the money. While it works well, the cost may be a deterrent for those on a tight budget or looking for more economical options.

Despite the price, the camera module performs reliably and delivers the results I need. It captures high-quality images and videos, which is crucial for my projects. The ease of use and compatibility with various platforms are definite pluses, making it a valuable tool for hobbyists and professionals alike.

Good image, works only on Linux and sometimes freezes up

I was not able to get the camera to work at all on Windows 10 or 11. It shows up as a USB camera device, but it does not provide an image to any of several capture applications that I tried. It does work on Linux, although sometimes it freezes while changing image settings and needs to be unplugged to reset it. Other than the difficulty getting it set up, the image quality is pretty good.

Black and White, easy to use, manual focus

Super easy to use, just connect it to USB and look at settings/camera (Windows). You will eventually want to use a specific app for however you intend to use it. The small wide format lens gives a lot of corner distortion, but focus range has decent depth of field. (See the screen shot of my first image).

You'll need to mount this on something relative to what you are imaging. Otherwise, too many moving parts.
