Leviton W5461 Weather-Resistant Single Receptacle Outlet

Nice upgrade over standard version, probably a smart choice for EV 6-20 charging.

Installed this for my tenant's tesla mobile connector nema 6-20 adapter. Fantastic option for level 2- charging, allows charging speeds 2.7x faster than level 1 while only pulling an extra 4 amps of panel capacity.

I specifically ordered this model as the non-"Heavy-Duty Industrial" felt so cheap at the orange big box store that I was scared I'd burn my building down. This still feels relatively light and thin, but I have higher confidence pulling a constant high draw -- well worth the extra few bucks.

Doesn't work well with stranded 10AWG

You really need to pigtail a 12 Solid if you want to not pull out your hair. The rear holes technnnnniccallly accept 10 Stranded but only if there is absolutely no deviation from a perfect circle. Finally, when tightening to the torque specs this screw did something funky and twisted the clamp contactor. I'm going to call that broken and write it off as unsafe to use.

I expect I'll have a much better time wiring it up with solid 12.

Edit: Bought another one and can confirm, with non stranded cable installation is extremely easy. The specs claiming that it supports #10 Stranded are extremely optimistic. Just grab some #12 solid short ends for making pigtails and save your sanity, money and security.
