A Great Fan from Minka
This is a great fan. This is the third one I have purchased and installed in a bedroom. They are solidly built and a great size for a bedroom. They are very quiet and the fan speed can be adjusted to the perfect level. The LED lights look really sharp on this fan and they are dimmable, which is a nice touch. All in all, this is a really nice fan. It's pricier than others, but worth the money. I upgraded the wall switch to a Lutron light/fan combo switch. I like the look of this switch better than the one that comes with the light. It's just a personal choice, there's nothing wrong with the switch Minka provides in the box. One other thing to mention, this fan is very easy to install. It's a great DIY project.

Three levels of air flow. Silent
Replaced an older Minka 26” fan when remodeling a a small bathroom in my beach condo. I have the Minka hugger in the bedroom and the Minka Wave throughout my main home. After much research a few years back I don’t even bother anymore. I just go straight from Minka and happy that I could get this fan size fan in white. Silent and move the air very well especially after a steamy shower. The exhaust vented fan is not enough. No remote, which is not needed in this room. It’s surprisingly heavy which my electrcian attributes to a good motor. He installed it easily although my husband could have done it. He installed the five Minkas at home.

works well but is noisy
I really wanted to like this fan, but I don't.
The light and fan are perfectly sized for our 10’ x 12’ guest rooms. The installed unit looks great. My bedrooms were pre-wired for this type of fan. So, Installation was straight forward. However, I’m not quite done getting the control switch to fit in the wall box.
Regretfully, this model (F510L) fan motor gives off objectionable tonal noise. The tonal noise amplitude varies a bit with fan speed, but the sound pitch remains constant at (assumed) 120 Hz. You can’t really hear the fan windage noise over the tone. This has not been our experience with the other Minka-Aire fans in our home that we love, (2)-F410L and (1)-F844.
The F510L wall control unit feels flimsy but works well. The light dimmer is particularly good. However, I am having a challenge with the size of the controller. The unit’s casing fits line-to-line vertically inside the wall box and is too deep into the box as compared to others. I have not yet decided how to address this issue.
I purchased two of these 510L fans and will return one of them immediately due to the tonal sound issue. I remain undecided about what to do with the one I already installed.

LED light can't be replaced!
Shame on MInkaAire. I have wasted literally months trying to find the light replacement for this Minka Aire Space Saver white fan model F510L-WH. It burned out almost 3 years to the day! I know model number by heart. It went out in November so I started searching online every Saturday. Read reviews that the company will send parts. Finally called after 3 months and they gave me the part number 6F510LWHLK01, if you have the brushed steel substitute BS in place of WH. I was told to buy from dealer I bought from (home depot) and also given number to Fergusons? Are you kidding me? Minka Aire said they had 1 left! Oh, Fergusons is only open M-F so I call Home Depot. Kid listens to my dilemma and I know they have access to company's stock we can't access so I believed him that part number would be different. I had to pick it up. Got it a week later. Wrong LED. Took it back today and manager tried to order the right part and ends up on Build.com. I didn't know until home and looked at receipt for $63.72. Oh, did I mention she said I had to buy whole assembly? Not the part I actually took with me. The light is removed easily but NO you have to get whole kit. I am that mad. All over a LIGHT BULB! Worse, she mentioned image was brushed steel. I said the box from original purchase was same but if she put in right part, we were fine. So I look at receipt and it's part BS not WH. I have to make an account on Build.com in order to try and cancel it or just get it and paint it. If you own one, you know that the LED is integrated into a part on bottom that is visible and shade screws into that. It's a small part, you shouldn't need the whole lower assembly to replace a LIGHT BULB. $63.72! I still can't find the white one and I'm rambling. Apparently, the 1 they had left has been bought in the past 2 weeks I've wasted getting something that was wrong. Oh, some sites say the Steel one is discontinued including Build.com
So it's a cute, small, light weight fan with a lot of power. Operates almost silent on low settings and puts out jet engine air on high but it has no annoying squeaks so I'm up a river. So only alternative is to get the steel one, remove the lower light part and paint it white! sucks

Great compact fan
Pros:
The fan was the perfect size for my narrow kitchen and did not Interfere with my opened cabinet. It’s quiet!!!
Cons:
The Light is not super bright as I prefer for a kitchen. I haven’t had a chance to open up the light to see if I can replace the bulb.
I was expecting a remote, but Instead there was a electrical plate to install. My electrician had to connect it and that took extra time for that wiring (which I had to pay for)
I’m not a static about the wall plate design. You have to feel for a while to then push up the corre switch. It’s just not a quick walk in and turn on the light.

Easy install
Couldn't have been easier to install this fan! Just note, if you tighten the LED part as instructed, you will prevent the fan from spinning.
