Wish the antenna were larger to improve reception
I did a descent amount of research on flat antennas for over-the-air reception. Signal is weak in my area, so I knew I wanted an amplified antenna, and I prefer to have a removable coax to be able to swap in a shorter cable. In short, the Terk's larger size gave noticeably better reception on my poorest reception channel, which happens to be USA world cup channel. Mohu had 2-3 gliches per minute while Terk had only one catch in the first half of the game.
If you have really good channel strength in your area, I would go for the Mohu. It is smaller, has higher quality connectors, nice LED power indicator, and it just "feels" nicer quality. I live in an area where the signal is just on the edge of threshold for digital reception and had to go with the larger Terk antenna for best reception.
The Mohu Leaf Ultimate V3
GOOD: Higher quality than Terk. Antenna is smaller, but just a little thicker, like thin cardboard as opposed to Terk's thick paper feel. And the LED is a nice feature to show that Mohu's antenna is powered. See note below on power indicator, which was actually not helpful. The coax and connector are much higher quality on the Leaf as compared to the Terk. See in the photo that the Mohu coax on the left has a nice rounded center pin, smooth threads and nice strain-relieved boot as compared to the Terk's crimped on connector on the left.
DISSAPOINTING: Saddly, the Mohu (higher in quality) did not live up to the Terk in reception. Subjectively, the world cup is just less glitchy with the Terk. More concretely, I did a series of tests with the antennas in the same location, both amplied, and Terk consistently received 30% more channels (independent of which amplifier I used). Mohu amplifier did not even come with a power adapter. The seemingly good feature of the LED reception indicator is not actually that helpful. The LED level indicator is basically a power meter (measuring reception of all channels being received and not the one your TV tuner is showing). This means that the indicator is showing the combined signal of (FOX+ABC+CBS+NBC+...) and not the weak channel (FOX that is playing the world cup and keeps dropping).
