Pretty nice for a cheaper wired gaming mouse

I have a few Redragon mice and this one probably is the most comfortable for my hand although I'd say it's slightly taller than I'd prefer.

Unlike most mice this once seems designed for the two buttons on left side by your thumb assuming you are right handed (this mouse is mostly designed for right handed users) seemed to be placed higher and away from where your thumb normally rests. This has the benefit that it's very unlikely that you'd ever accidentally touch them if you don't mean, but the compromise is that it feels a little awkward at least to me, to rest your thumb where the buttons are. And the front button is a little far forward so have to stretch my thumb slightly to press it. So how you utilize side buttons with your thumb is likely to make you either happy or a little frustrated using this mouse.

The mouse feels reasonably well made but being a budget mouse it's at the same time both a little slicka and lightweight. So if you prefer a grippier noise or one that isn't so light this might not be for you. On the plus side it has a nice braided cable (that is quite long, helps if your desktop is under your desk but is a rather long for laptop use), buttons don't feel mushy, and the scroll wheel is nice to use

The software you can find on the Redragonzone website is pretty nice except for whatever reason they did not remove the Lighting settings in the software for this model even though the software is model specific and this model doesn't have any lighting. The last Redragon app I downloaded for a mouse probably 2 months ago or so rendered TINY in my 4k display but thankfully this time it looks normal. It supports setting up DPI settings and custom key bindings as well as macro setting that can be saved to one of several different modes you can switch through as needed using the mode button on the bottom of the mouse (or you can find one of the other buttons to mode switching if you want to switch quickly on the fly).

Happy with how the mouse performs overall so for the price I see no reason to deduct any stars and recommend it as a nice budget wired gaming mouse.

Lightweight at just 58grams has a really nice shape and I had no issues with the sensor.

I always like to give budget mouses a try because most of the time they do surprise me how well they are, so when I saw this AIR mouse by redragon I wanted to see how it was.

Build quality is pretty good for a budget mouse it makes no noises when squeezing the sides of it which is surprising for a lightweight mouse because my higher end lightweight mouses would make a cracking noise when doing that, it has a very nice high quality soft braided cord that is hard to get it tangle and it makes this mouse feel like I am using one of my wireless mouses because it does not get in the way or slow me down when gaming while also having a long length of 5.9F.

The left and right mouse buttons have a nice tactile click to them while also having very low pre travel to them, and having the button shells not attached to each other or to the main shell, the forward and back side buttons also has a nice tactile click to them and does not go all the way into body of the mouse so they won't stick and I also like the small grip bumps on the forward button. Mouse wheel has a nice feel to it while being smooth with tactile bumps to it when scrolling and I love that they have the DPI button on top of the shell instead of the bottom like most gaming mouses have now and there is a mode button to switch profiles on the bottom of the mouse.

I have been gaming heavily with this mouse for 2 days now and I had no issues at all with it, the sensor tracks perfectly on my glass mouse pad and cloth ones and feels like I am using a high end mouse, and I had no issues with the buttons and it is very comfortable in my hand and I like the feel of the texture plastic it has which I prefer over rubber coated because those can become a mess over time. Software is easy to find that is very simple to use to change DPI customize the buttons and also doing macros and polling rate from 125 all the way up to 1000hz, there is a lighting menu but since this mouse has no lights on it that is not needed.

Overall I do like this mouse and if you like lightweight mouses as I do as with most gamers do, this is a really nice budget wired gaming mouse that has all the features as one will that is on the budget, because I have found nothing bad to say about it and for only being $17.99 it is an awesome value for what it is! Keep in mind there is plastic covers on the mouse feet that is hard to see, so make sure you peel those off before using it because it glides so much better.

So for me it does get a big thumbs up from me, I like it👍

Very lightweight and giftable gaming mouse...

THE GOOD:

--------------

* This optical mouse works very well.

* Has five DPI settings up to 24000.

* Six programmable buttons.

* Best part of the mouse is the cord, it is very soft and feels premium

* Very lightweight... good for gamers.

* Nice retail box, so it's very giftable.

THE BAD:

-----------

* Now, I'm not a gamer. I just prefer a mouse where I don't have to change batteries. But I was shocked at how light this is. I don't know if this is strategic, or simply cheap. I understand in gaming, light weight can be a good thing. But man, this is light as a feather, like it's hollow inside. If you want a mouse with some heft, then avoid this. If you want it for gaming, and you want it light as a feather, then go for it. I'll go 4-Stars.
