Noisy fan, soft problems. Refusal of assistance from customer support
This is a terrible DVR, this is my second purchase. I bought the first 16-channel DVR a year ago, and it had a problem with a noisy fan. This new DVR, according to the manufacturer, still has the same problem – a terrible, noisy fan that is completely unacceptable. This DVR cannot be installed in residential areas due to the terrible noise pollution. I do not recommend this DVR. In addition, there are the same problems with the software; the cameras cannot be sorted by number; the hard drive clamps are flimsy; the problem is that the hard drives contain personal information, and they have to be sent for repair. If you send them for repair, there is a chance of losing confidential information. Therefore, you have to call a technician to your home, which represents additional financial costs. Reolink increased the price of the new recorder but left it just as flawed and of poor quality! Update from January 23, 2026: I received a response from customer support, and they told me I needed to record a video so they could hear that the fan was actually making noise! And then, get this – !!! hold on, don't fall over !!! – they said they would send me a link to buy a silent fan! It's just a complete mess. They refused to cooperate, and I do not recommend buying this recorder.
