Video quality horrible.
Battery life is not great and the video quality is so much worse than my old Ring 4. 3 stars since it does what it's supposed to but I hate the video quality.

Doorbell good, mount is not
Day 1 of having it installed and I went to remove to fully finish charging it (I got impatient and only half charged it when it arrived, I was excited). Used the provided tool to take it off and the prong at the bottom of the mount broke when doing so. Now the doorbell won’t clip back into the mount at all and I’m having to order the replacement part after only having it installed for 24 hours.
The doorbell itself is fine but what is this crappy mount?!

Wireless Doorbell Camera with Wide Coverage!
I’m really impressed with this wireless ring doorbell! One of my favorite features is how much of my porch it captures. It has a wide viewing area, so I can see much more of my front porch instead of just a small section right in front of the door. It gives me extra peace of mind knowing I can keep an eye on packages, visitors, and activity around my entryway.
I also love the convenience of the wireless design because it makes installation much easier without having to deal with extra wiring. I can clearly hear everything. It’s motion detected. It’s a great addition to home security and makes it easier to see who’s at the door, even when I’m not home. Gives me a peace of mind.

Not even up a week and helped out. However, resolution isn't that good. It might only be clear within a 3 foot radius. Other then that, not clear at a distance.

Going from 1080p to 2k, there’s barely any change on image quality.. but the design on the ring battery doorbell is nice. Got it on sale for half the price, good deal but worth upgrading? I don’t know about that.

Great for Keeping an Eye on My 5th Wheel
I’ve been using this Ring Battery Doorbell on my 5th wheel while working remotely, and it’s been a handy way to see who’s outside without stepping away from work. The video is clear, and the wide view with zoom makes it easier to check what’s happening around the entrance. Two-way talk is useful for answering visitors, and motion alerts let me know when someone approaches.
I also appreciate that it’s battery powered, so installation is flexible. I added the Ring solar doorbell charger also with keeps it charged. Just keep in mind that reviewing recorded events and some smart alerts require a Ring Protect subscription. Overall, it’s a convenient addition to my remote-work setup on the road.

Love this new security measure. Picture quality is pristine! Has all the same great features we love like night vision, motion sensor, this feels for durable and amazing quality! It's slim sleek design is so chic and connecting was simple and easy this is battery so will need to be fully charged! I love that you can use a C type charger for it! Love the new Halloween chimes "trick or treat smell my feet , leave a message at the beep" these days the ring should be standard in every home for safety, protection and peace of mind. Especially if you are elderly or disabled. Highly recommend. Loved the sale price.

Good camera, just be aware of subscription!
Have no complaints about the camera itself. Easy to install ( bought a door mount for it, no drilling required), good camera quality, and easy to set up.
But i was not aware you need a subscription after a couple of months, if you want to use certain features like video history. which is the main reason i have a ring camera. You can still use live view. but if you’re not watching the camera 24/7, which nobody is, you won’t have access to history without a subscription.
I had the old ring doorbell for a very long time and did not have to get a subscription for anything. it was just really old and started to lag so i upgraded to this one.
so just be aware of that because i didn’t see it mentioned anywhere

I love it. The only complaint I have is that we had a furniture delivery and it didn’t pick up his movement on the camera whatsoever. It picks up everything else but it didn’t pick him up at all and he left a paper in the door so I know he was standing in front of it. The video quality is pretty good.

DONT DO IT!
Don’t upgrade unless you have to or look at other brands. Loved my old Ring doorbell camera. Rarely had any issues with it until it finally broke after a couple years. The new one looks better and of course has better features but, much like others warn, it disconnects from WiFi constantly. I don’t have issue with any other technologies in my home disconnecting but it’s several times a week with this damn thing. Obviously a security camera disconnecting often presents a problem. Customer service is not helpful. Don’t buy this.

Great Camera With a Clear, Wide View!
I’m very happy with this Ring camera. The picture quality is clear, and I love how wide the viewing angle is. I can see a large portion of the parking lot and the area directly around my doors, which gives me great coverage without needing several cameras in the same spot.
The motion detection works well, the live view is convenient, and I can easily check both my front and side entrances right from my phone. The night vision is also a big plus.
Setup was straightforward, and so far the connection has been reliable. If you’re looking for a security camera with a wide view, clear picture, and easy access from your phone, I definitely recommend it. 5 stars!

I’m really impressed with this Ring doorbell. The 2K video is super clear, and the wide-angle view makes it easy to see the whole area around my front door. The 6x zoom is also really useful when I need to see something farther away.
Setup was quick and straightforward, and I like that the battery is rechargeable so I didn’t have to deal with complicated wiring. The motion alerts come through quickly, and being able to see and talk to someone at the door from my phone is a great feature.

Great Camera for Extra Peace of Mind
I’m really happy with this camera. The video quality is clear, the setup was easy, and I love being able to check what’s happening around my home from my phone. It gives me extra peace of mind, especially when I’m away. Overall, it’s a great addition to my home security setup and very easy to use.

Pros…
The new clarity is far superior to my previous model, both day and night (though my porch light is on). You can clearly see who is there, and not nearly as many missed activations.
No more unscrewing in freezing winter weather to charge the product. It came with a little orange lever. You put it in the bottom to release and remove the product. I’m so afraid of losing the lever that I attached it to a keychain and hung it by the front door on a command hook.
Cons…
It is smaller so I had to drill new holes. My siding is a mess. It wouldn’t easily attach to the siding allowing the product to clip on. I had to order an off brand siding adapter to aid in proper installation. You guessed it… more holes. I don’t think I’d purchase another model upgrade if the holes once again change as it’s destroying my siding. I will be using silicone to fill the holes, but it won’t solve the appearance.
It came with a month of pro AI service. Sometimes the explanations make you giggle…. Man with a gas can is walking on the sidewalk. It was my husband with his red cooler lunchbox lol It is quite handy though to know if you should look when the ring is activated. So if it says someone walking their dog, I don’t need to rush to open the app. I quickly check the app if it says someone is sitting in a red parked car in front of your house. Better safe than sorry.
I like the new pro version of the app, and can turn off person recognition which I like. I’m not a fan of facial recognition and respect peoples privacy. Just not sure if I want to pay double the cost for subscription.
See photo… this is a zoomed in image screenshot from the Ring doorbell. A bird in a nest under my porch and off to the left of my doorbell. So no, not directly in front of camera at all. The clarity is great, especially for a doorbell.

Goes offline a lot and hard to troubleshoot to reconnect
When the camera is working it’s great sound quality, picture quality, and everything picks up every little thing the only downfall is since I’ve purchased this camera and it’s has went offline more time than I can count and it’s not a WiFi use cause my pet camera and projector works fine I’m constantly troubleshooting it to reconnect and it never does it just reconnects randomly which is very annoying need to this issue immediately

Pretty satisfied with the purchase
It has a great picture and notification system. Very happy with it. The recordings are clear and sharp. The doorbell feature is nice and I have no problems with connection, as long as my WiFi is working. I was worried about the cost, but I got exactly what I needed at a great cost.
One thing I will mention is that you cannot change the battery out. In order to charge it, you have to pull the doorbell off. I did use the no drill mount. There is a solar panel that you can get, but you cannot use the solar panel and the no drill mount at the same time. The battery seems to be lasting a long time. I have it set to record more than recommended, so it says my battery is being drained more quickly, and that may be accurate. It’s dropped 10% (95% to 85%) after two weeks of use.

Much better than older model
The old hard-wired ring doorbell stopped getting electricity, so we replaced it with this battery model. It was easy to install and set up, but we already had a place to mount it outside the door and already had the app- just needed to add the new device. The new doorbell is larger and heavier because of the battery, but I like it better. You have to charge it every few months (depending on how often it’s used). The first time it took 12 hours to charge. Also, the first time I used the small plastic “key” to remove the doorbell from the mount, I pushed too hard and the orange clip got stuck inside the mount. When I went to remount it, the doorbell would not clip in. I used a screwdriver to free up the orange clip that was stuck and the doorbell mounted fine.
