Yet another staple for the collection!... With songs musding from the 1st book (if you can believe it) & additional songs to get the next generation to rise up singing (categorized in various ways so it is easier to find & cross-reference, i.e. by genre, artist, & name or even alternate names!).

Typeface is kind of hard to read, low contrast and not a great font
I just got this, based on many recommendations, and my having Rise Up Singing for decades. I had to return the smaller version for the larger version (it doesn't say large print, but it's 9 x 12 instead of 7 x 10) in order to see well enough to lead songs with a guitar or fiddle. I'm not sure I'd be able to do that anyway: the font is a little bigger, but the contrast on the page is not as good with this Rise Again as it is with Rise Up Singing. Photos show small and large editions of both (my small Rise Up Singing is from the 80s). They all have a serif font that makes it a tad harder to read.

I've had every version of this songbook and one may ask why buy another. The answer is that they've added new songs and it is impossible to turn a page without breaking into song over an old favorite. I gave it 4 stars because the font is still not the best to read for old folkies like myself. I think Verdana would be a better choice. Also some of the chords are off a bit but the selection makes up for that.
I was using a tablet for my jams which could hold a much larger selection of tunes, but I find this introduces me to so much more. What a way to discover music. The book goes to the sources showing it roots with the Sing Out days.Get this now!
