Be aware - it's a 32-bit application. It took me some 2 hours to install it on a 64-bit computer. It didn't install completely due to faulty installation scripts. There was no option to install one feature at a time. Since we live in a free world, people may sell trash as long as they find buyers and I am one. :-(
Music man.
I go back to 2000 and the Adaptec days. Though there were some issues, it was so much more stable than many subsequent releases by Roxio and Corel. I am on my third version of this software going back to Creator NXT PRO 2, then finally upgrading to 6, and a year or so ago to 9.
Each time I hope they have had enough time to fix bugs and issues. Each time the program seems to be dumbed down taking away controls and abilities, with some bugs not as much an issue, but new ones in their place.
It has been long enough and I have gotten used to the latter versions that I won't remember every one. Each version though has frozen burning images (often at 99 percent). I seem to have less chance of that happening if I reboot before burning an image (but that might be coincidental as it has still happened). Burning failures, freezing after so many chapters have been issues over various versions (intermittently).
This new one has made making precise chapters harder. There are issues with burner failures, and the program will freeze trying to play to add chapters. Once it does that and you have to end task, it will re-write chapters as a branch off of the last chapter you created (which sometimes shows no thumbnail). If you try to delete some of them, it goes through a bunch of failures. (I will try to add screenshots in the future. I have been too frustrated at the times it happens, and too pressed for time on the job after all of the time wasted).
I am frustrated too, that they never seem to have the software working well enough. There is always something wrong. And they keep stripping it down even further in what you can do. The CD portion typically works well, except it is always a chore submitting to Gracenote. It is difficult to type or edit the entries and I have to cut and paste at times. This has been every version of the three listed here. Other programs with an interface to Gracenote have been a dream with no issues whatsoever. So that makes it a Roxio issue with interface or implementation.
At this point of 11 years and the three versions we have from nearly the beginning to now, all being buggy has me pretty set on not doing anymore upgrades, and just starting with a new company's software at this point. Software is supposed to assist us in our endeavors not fight us to get them done.

Steer clear of this software, it crashes. See attached photo. Cyperlink's Power Director 21 cost about $30 dollars more, but it works. I have an HP Envy LAPTOP that I purchased within the last two years. It has plenty of memory and disk space. I spent hours working with with Corel engineering support to update video drivers, change Windows settings parameters, and to run any diagnostic that they asked me to try. One of their last suggestions was to go to Task Manager and randomly start deleting sub-processes from other programs running on PC. Corel Engineering Support thought that my PC had too many sub-processes, so without any logical reasoning, their suggestion was to blindly delete sub-processes without regard to whether they will break other programs. To eliminate their concern about sub-processes, I backed up my LAPTOP, then installed a clean copy of Windows 11. Besides the software that comes with Win11, there was no other software installed. I now had a minimally configured Win 11 HP Envy LAPTOP to test with. When I ran the Roxio Creator NXT Pro 9 software, it either crashed or caused a system hang. There must be a bug in the Roxio Creator NXT Pro 9 software, causing it to fail with some PC hardware/software, but not others.
I read a lot of negative reviews before purchasing, but thought I could work through any potential problems, using Corel's engineering support team
I restored my original image to my Win 11 HP Envy LAPTOP, installed a copy of Cyberlink's Power Director 21, and tried to burn a BLU RAY disk, using the same videos as I did with the Roxio Creator NXT Pro 9. Everything worked fine, without a hitch. In addition to that, the Cyberlink Power Director 21 has much more capability than the Roxio software. I didn't think that the software was returnable, but when I looked my purchase, there was a note that the last date to return it was March 3rd. If I had known that, I would have returned the software. As it is, I spent $88.00 and the software is useless.
