The most exciting, astonishing, fun, comprehensive new techniques for singing!

A comprehensive (but fascinating and fun!) guide to singing through the lens neurology and pain science with CRAZY exciting results! This book teaches you everything you didn’t learn in vocal pedagogy class and an incredible amount of knowledge about the body (which clearly corrects vocal production issues)! As a singer and a teacher, Learning about the larynx and placement is not enough. Learning bel canto vowels and about breath in regard to singing is not enough. As a teacher, this method, Andrew’s invaluable website, and now a book that summarizes each topic he has studied in regard to movement, pain, and how to correct everything from balance and vision to jaw tension, tongue, the muscles surrounding the diaphragm and used for respiration, to the threat we perceive in scars, root canals, and complicated concepts like how to improve gait and PMRF and why it’s important to have a functioning cerebellum. It is clear and gives you context as well as proper drills to try for your body and how to exactly measure the results to track progress. It’s incredibly valuable and the results in singing and the brain are nothing short of astonishing. Buy it, subscribe to his website with videos and hire him for a course! I’ve taken them all and am lucky to continue being mentored by him.

Best Book on Singing I have read in a very long time!

The Singing Athlete is a Must-Read for any singer or singing teacher of any style or level! I thought I knew almost everything about singing techniques and physiology for singers, and Andrew has managed to open my mind to much more, and explain some truly complex topics with great clarity, detail, and amusing sidebars that really help make the science side of this book easier for anyone! It is the kind of book that the more you read it, the more you understand everything, and it is so incredibly well thought through, organized, and methodical. I was glued through a first quick scan, and am now really enjoying revisiting some topics in more detail. A must have for all singers!
