Excellent
Great product and company. I bought their older generation (1080p) for my previous home, plus mounted one on a pole above our motorhome (works via Starlink). They have functioned for years flawlessly other than an IR filter sticking, easily fixed with a command to the camera. This pic is at our retirement home, it was only about $135 on sale. There are several improvements with great 4K, the iOS software is great (just turn off ads - free). This new generation has better people detection, not picking up motion other than people. For example, in the second pic, the wind spinner never sets off the camera, only people. I did contact customer service many years ago and it was great - re: the IR filter thing. I haven’t needed them this time. The product seems great. Many people that make negative comments are just lacking with basic tech skills. Setting up the iOS app was super simple. Read about POE injection if not familiar.

Returning It — Configuration Is Needlessly Complicated
I'm returning this camera. The hardware itself may be decent, but the setup experience was incredibly frustrating. There doesn't appear to be any practical way to configure many of the features unless you download and install additional software that I wasn't comfortable using.
I expected a straightforward web interface or easy configuration process, but instead I had to hunt down third-party applications just to access basic settings. For a security camera in this price range, setup should be simple and transparent.
If you're looking for a plug-and-play PoE PTZ camera that's easy to manage, this may not be the best choice. The complicated software requirement was a dealbreaker for me.
One of the things I appreciate most abo…

Woooow!Perfect for outdoor security monitoring
Great outdoor PTZ camera with impressive image quality and smooth pan/tilt control. The zoom works very well, even at long distances, and the night vision is clear. Setup was easier than expected and the build quality feels solid and professional. Perfect for outdoor security monitoring. Highly recommend!

A Lot of PTZ Camera for the Money
I bought the SUNBA 405-D20X ECO 4K because I wanted a higher-resolution outdoor PTZ with real optical zoom, but I did not want to spend $1,000+ on a commercial camera. After testing it, I think SUNBA did a very good job with this model.
The 4K image is clean and detailed, especially during the day. The 20X optical zoom is genuinely useful. I can zoom into distant areas and still see real detail, which is the whole point of buying a PTZ camera in the first place. A lot of cheaper cameras advertise big zoom numbers, but the image falls apart quickly. This one holds up much better.
Night vision is better than I expected for the price. It is not magic, and you still need to aim and install it correctly, but the IR range and image clarity are very usable. For watching a driveway, field, barn, gate, or wildlife area, it performs well.
The camera also feels more serious than the toy-like PTZ cameras you see all over the market. It is not a high-end $2,000 unit, but it does not feel like a disposable camera either. PTZ control is responsive, the housing feels suitable for outdoor use, and the image quality is the main reason I like it.
My only real criticism is the color reproduction. Although this is a 4K camera, the colors are not quite as natural or refined as SUNBA’s P425 from the Performance Series. The P425 is only 5MP, but in my opinion it still produces better color accuracy and a more polished image. This is a good reminder that resolution is only one part of image quality. If 4K is not a must-have and your budget allows it, I would still recommend looking at SUNBA’s Performance Series.
My advice is to use a proper PoE switch or power source and good cable. Do not judge any PTZ camera with a weak power supply or poor network connection. Also, take some time to tune the image settings. The default settings are okay, but you can usually get a better picture with some adjustment.
For the price, this is one of the better 4K PTZ options I have used. Good picture, real zoom, good night performance, and a reasonable price. That is a solid combination.
