Excellent camera… I think?
Everything about this camera screams high-quality. Its lens is highly adjustable for focus, aperture, and zoom.
The electronics, our house and a heavy duty metal case, and the lens casing itself is metal. So again, all wrong quality.
Where I ran into a problem though is, I could not get it to work on my computer. From everything I’ve read it’s supposed to be plug-in play but for whatever reason I couldn’t get it to work. The computer recognize the device, I guess I just didn’t have the right software to run the camera. So it’s kind of hard to review the functionality. But just looking at it I can tell it’s an excellent camera. But because I couldn’t get it running, I wasn’t able to test things like brightness or the ease of use, but again specs that are provided by the manufacturer indicate that brightness level will not be an issue and that since it is plug-in play it should be very easy to use. I know it’s a little pricey and I was skeptical at first, but it really is an awesome camera that I can’t wait to get on a machine where I can use it.

Fantastic for micro soldering, sharp image and adjustable zoom
I bought this 12MP USB camera mainly for micro soldering work, and it performs really well. The image quality is excellent! sharp, detailed, and clear enough to see tiny solder joints and components without strain. The adjustable optical zoom and manual focus give you a lot of control, letting you get the exact magnification you need for precision work.
The camera feels solid and well built, definitely more “industrial-grade” than a typical webcam. It connects easily via USB and worked right away on my PC without drivers. The 10x optical zoom is a big advantage over digital zoom , no loss of clarity when zooming in close.
The only downside is that it takes a little trial and error to dial in the focus and lighting for the best image, especially if your workbench lighting changes. Once it’s set up, though, it delivers excellent results.
Overall, this is a great high resolution camera for electronics repair, micro soldering, or any kind of precision work. Worth the investment if you want clear visuals and flexibility without breaking the bank.

Good manual camera (if you know what you're doing)!
After playing around with this camera for a few days I have yet to make it work well for any video recordings on my Mac Book Pro. The preview is good but when I try to record anything the picture is as dark as if it was set to f/22 (it is NOT) so I know this must be something I am doing wrong.
I will up the rating as soon as I figure this out!

Wow, 10X zoom!
This little jewel is a game changer for me. It's a little pricey but worth every penny. It's plug and play, like every ELP cam I've ever reviewed. I mated it to one of those cheap Chinese 4 inch square little box computers, and set it up in my makeshift studio to photograph and take video of things I want to archive. I could just use a regular camera, but this one is small and easy to use. The pics go right into my little computer ready to tweak, resize etc. No having to transfer from a camera to a laptop for editing. they are right there. When put into a project box it makes for a nice compact easy to use setup that is also versatile enough to adjust zoom, f-stop and focus. Great colors, clear 12MP definition, which is more than enough for this application.

Captures every small detail
I'm mostly in capturing food videos for my Instagram page, so decided to get this small and quality camera and made me satisfied. It's a plug&play camera, so I connected to my Mac and as soon as connected, worked, so no more wasting time on software installation. Also, the lens is very powerful which captures every small detail and I've tried it on some shish kabob which shows even oil on them. Besides, price is very affordable in compare to others and does the same job.
