A Global Shutter Camera That Freezes Motion Without the Blur
Fast moving subjects come through crisp and clean on this camera, no smearing or distortion the way you'd get from a rolling shutter trying to keep up with quick motion. The global shutter sensor is really the star here, capturing sharp frames even at high speed, which makes a real difference for motion analysis work. USB 3.0 keeps the data flowing fast enough to hit sixty frames per second without lag or dropped frames getting in the way. The manual zoom lens gives you real control over field of view, useful when you're adjusting for different working distances rather than being locked into one fixed angle. Build quality feels genuinely industrial, an all metal housing that handles heat well and holds up to regular use without any concern about durability. Cross platform compatibility is a nice bonus too, working smoothly across different systems without hunting down extra drivers. This is a serious tool for anyone doing real machine vision or motion capture work, not just a step up from a basic webcam.
Very highly recommended!

A good camera for apps requiring zoom or a global shutter but needs good light.
Intended Use: PCB inspection camera
I used Windows 11 Camera app.
Pros:
- plug 'n play with Windows 11
- draws around 1.1W in video (max, varies) and barely a little warm
- video resolutions up 1440p 16:9 60fps and 1944p 4:3 60fps
- photo resolutions up to 2560x1440
- at max zoom with good light, this camera produced some really nice results (see photos 4 and 5).
- compact form factor -- box 50mm square by 41mm deep (lens projects around 41mm also). Camera alone weighs roughly 158g but with the cable 244g. Light enough for even phone desktop arm mounts. 1/4" female threads on 3 sides is important to have.
- latency was noticeable if you looked for it
- in good light, lose of detail as you near the edges (expected) but nothing horrible -- see photo 2 (keyboard, average light, zoomed in)
Cons:
- camera would disconnect on Camera App (video) and reconnect (after closing) with 6' USB-A 3 extension cord (used with other USB3 cameras, SSDs, USB3 hard drives, etc). In photo mode, the picture would freeze occasionally and pixelate or have horizontal bars or not work. In video mode, it would just disconnect or not run smoothly. USB tester shows 5.03V 0.9W (5.09V at idle). Had to connect directly to PC USB-A 3.2 port to get this to work. Something isn't right here. Fails at both front and rear USB3.2 ports. At 1.1W, this shouldn't be a problem. Maybe it's my USB-A extension cable but they've been working a year or two with USB3 devices fine.
- 0.1lux specification -- Not believing this as an indicator of performance. In average to below average light, you can start to see graininess.
- at low zoom, there's huge lens distortion (see photo 1 and 3). Sure you can correct this with software, but it's annoying. Part of having a zoom lens.
- zoom requires refocusing which requires a decent touch.
With good light, this camera should do wonders for a wide range of applications requiring zoom or a global shutter.
