Great LPR & AI Performance when paired with Unifi Instant
This AI LPR camera performs very well, even though I was unable to meet or be within all of the installation parameters due to my restricted installation location. Also, the speed of some of the vehicles is outside the suggested limit as well.
The IR filter for reflective tags is a game changer for night detections when LPR Night Vision is enabled. Furthermore, the numerous IR emitters put out a ton of IR light at a great distance.
The image quality, optics and optical zoom are all excellent.
Any plate numbers the AI generates that are incorrect due to being outside installation specs are not a concern to me because day/night playback is so clear I can get the numbers myself easily.
Currently this camera and the Instant are processing about 200-400 vehicles an hour at peak times.
Even with LPR Dedicated enabled, Unifi Protect on the Instant still classify all vehicles by type and color in addition to the plate information.
