Good for 5+ years.
These last 6-12 years. I had to throw mine out after that! I wish they were tighter though. They are “good”. I don’t consider them “perfect.” The low noises still come through for me enough that I don’t like it.

Thes ear muffs, hearing protectors are wonderful. They are very durable and have great ear coverage. Easy to get on and get off. The ear pads are extremely soft and comfortable. They well exceeded my expectations and are very comfortable I use these with lawn mowing, edging and weed eating. They are easy to adjust for comfort and fit great. I highly recommend the 3M Optime 105.

Has held together for three years with NO problems except cosmetic scuffs. Not even a rip or tear in the plastic and I use them all the time. So good I bought two more. Durable no frills and protect your hearing. Look ok but it's not a $65 pair. Comfortable, even with glasses. Stable on head easy to adjust sizing.

My dad used peltors, I bought these, and they just keep on working...
Great ear protection at a decent price. I mow, trim, and shoot with these and my hearing never rings.
The metal ones dont work as well with hats as the plastic set does. But otherwise great set of over the ear muffs.

I bought 3M because I have used their products in the past, and I had faith in the brand. I put these on and was impressed with the sound-deadening quality. Then I proceeded to cut up a pile of logs with a chainsaw. I'd cut for a few minutes, then remove the hearing protection and haul what I had cut to the woodshed. I did this rotation half a dozen times, and when I went to put on the 3M ear protection, I saw that one of the ear cups was dangling by only one arm. I looked more closely and found that the ear cups are attached to the arms of the over-the-head band with tiny little plastic clips. One of which had snapped off (see attached photo). I am so disappointed. I thought buying 3M would ensure a quality product. Lesson learned, I suppose. :o(

Received a torn open box item. Also the product inside was broken. Really disappointed with how the product arrived.

Wore these less than 10x and they broke. I'm 7 days past my return window. Would not recommend. They are also not adjustable.

Worst quality, broke into pieces the first time I used it.

These worked well... for a month. Until the cheap plastic clip on the side of one of the earmuffs snapped and broke off. Now it has to be trashed because there is no way to secure it.

I'm a new dad and have them ready on the diaper changing table when things get loud (can you spot them?) For noise protection, they work great. Comfortable too. They don't fold compact like others I have, thus just 4 stars. Adjustment is a little sticky too. But they cancel sound better than the folding ones I have.

This is a big (ear) muff/protection device for the ears. I really like this muff. I work in auto repair and mainly wanted something for extended air hammer uses with Big Nasty CP. They absolutely cut the noise down to a tolerable level. Pretty comfortable and fit nicely. Plus they look stylish...
For those with big heads...I mean no disrespect. These may not fit you. They are not adjustable at all. Some muffs can be resized for different sized heads. Not this muff. One size only. That doesn't mean it won't fit a lot of different sized heads, just that it may not fit overly large heads. My head is not even overly large, just average. And they are a pretty snug fit.
So will it fit your head? If you are concerned that you have a huge head, too big for this muff, then you might want to consider a different pair, something with an adjustable band maybe. But if they do fit, then you will be happy with the comfort and sound reduction they offer.

Had this since 2011. I think it took a year or so until the plastic started coming off around the edges. I used this for sleeping or studying because I have a big family and I could hear them talk through the walls in my room. It helped a lot, but I could still hear them a bit, like enough for me not to notice. It gets rid of the TV noises. Sometimes it isn’t enough to silence my brother’s snoring from another room (there’s an open window between us though, our rooms are connected that way, our house is weird because it’s extrended).
PROS:
- works for sleeping if you don’t mind the bulkiness
- silences tv noises
CONS:
- Plastic comes off in a year or so
- Gets stuck in my hair
- Too bulky (I didn’t mind it because I prioritized sleeping on my back and made it work)
- It would slip off sometimes when you’re lying down because the plastic was slippery
These headphones are meh. If you want more bang for your buck. It’s a lot less bulky, it’s cushioned, it’s sturdy, and the soundproof works so much better too. It really silences a lot of the background noise.

I got this item on April 2012, I've been using this headphones every day, every single day! And they still looks like new, I strongly recommend this product.
Picture date April 19 2012
4 years 2 days of use and they look like this, and they work flawlessly..

Bought several pair of these , gave some away. Great muffs and some of the best and most comfortable earmuffs you'll ever find.

Not sure if this cuts the db level by 105 as stated but dampening of outside noise while wearing the unit was good in my opinion . It provides a tight fit on your head and ears so I doubt the average person can wear this for extended periods unless the environment demands that you do .

These are great earmuffs. They have great noise reduction, and I use them frequently for shooting. They are very comfortable and fit well.
Update - after maybe 8 uses, these have already broke. There is a very cheap plastic "c" shaped fitting that attaches the earpiece to the headband. It has broke, so now one of the earpieces won't stay attached. In terms of sound reduction, these are still great. However, after light wear, they are already useless. Very disappointing.
