Feels very well built, it is comfortable and the sticks have great sensitivity. My only complaint is that the rumble feels a bit "loose" and that the additional L4 and R4 buttons are not programmable, only remap. But it is about as good as a regular Xbox controller but cheaper and nicer looking

It’s neat, but I got a scratch on my controller.
This was my first time ordering a Bluetooth controller, and I’m satisfied how it feels in my hand. I have relatively small average hands, but it feels like I can reach all the buttons without much movement. The drift is nice, the buttons sound soft and little clicky.
I don’t have a particular issue other than upon opening my controller, I found a scratch on the trigger button. I’m not necessarily upset because I only bought the controller just for playability, but if you care about appearance, then that’s one.

Best gaming investment I've ever made.
This is actually my first review ever. I purchased this controller in December of 2025 and these are my thoughts on it now, around the end of September 2026.
This is definitely one of the better cheaper alternatives for gaming controllers. I've bought myself a few over the years that have either had terrible quality or just did not last very long. This is a HUGE step up from those awful knock offs. If you want an affordable controller that actually feels good to use and will last you a while, this is most certainly the choice.
Just keep in mind, this controller is only compatible with PC and Android devices, not iPhone, it is slightly smaller than what you may be used to, and you may not be able to use the extra buttons that are on it (Maybe I just don't know how to use them yet, even after 9 months of usage).
Besides that, it's affordable, durable, has good battery life, easy to connect, just a great bang for your buck overall. 9/10, would be 10/10 if I could use these extra buttons for some if my games lol.

A must buy, don't sleep on it!
This is the best cheap controller you can get. It has such good Bluetooth that I use it for my Android phone all the time and it is instantaneous. Zero latency, and I game on a pc all the time when not on my phone. It has no rgb lighting and looks great without it. All the edges are polished smooth. It has Hall Effect sticks and zero stick drift because of it. This is a huge brand and will be around for years. I have had a lot of controllers in my lifetime but this one is great so far.
I will update this review in the future. The cord it comes with is ok but kinda short. I think it is only to charge it only but can also be used to plug directly into your device and play that way if you want to.

Controller Works Well With Laptop
Controller works well with a Windows 11 laptop even from far away; I went two rooms down and it still worked. I’ve had it for five months and have accidentally dropped it several times; it’s pretty solid and hasn’t broken or stopped working or anything. The only thing I dislike is I wish the center light were a little dimmer as it is very bright.

HOW TO FIX THE TRIGGERS TO ENABLE ANALOG
I was VERY upset to find out the triggers were digital buttons. I spent hours looking for a solution...until I found THIS.
It WORKED. Just hold X and power to turn it off. Then turn it back on again. That's it.
Now, as for the review. 4 stars because:
1. The bright power led can't be turned off. This is inexcusable. 😡
2. The color choices. I wanted the blue that the switch version comes in. But ONLY the switch version is available in that color. There's also no neutral gray/white version. You have to go all out and commit to a bold color choice.

Crazy good
I come from a world where buying a new controller will run you $70 and only after the thumb sticks start drifting. The only solution they could come up with was a $200 controller with replaceable sticks for $30+ extra each.(ifykyk)
Now when I switched to pc, I realized I had many options to choose from. In certain games I get motion sickness if I play too close like at my mouse & keyboard stance. This I needed to move back a bit and play with a controller. My first experience with this was playing The Witcher 3 for the first time not too long ago. For sub $30, the quality and durability is simply incredible. And you’d think they cheap out on the internals but no, in fact this humble controller has tech that big companies would NEVER incorporate, since all they want is your MONEY.
My experience in game was unlike what I expected. Of course I’ve read through the thousands of reviews before making my purchase, but there’s always a grain of doubt. No, the experience was fantastic and I dare say I’m glad I got to play the Witcher 3 with this in my hands.
No fluff though, the battery was great and when it did need charging it charged up while I played and quickly. The sticks are Hall effect, so they will last an absurd amount of time. The triggers and face buttons are even Hall effect, so worry not ball and gun gamers. If you have your arms in a wide stance you can notice the shape of it is a bit acute of an angle, but that is only the slightest of issue for me, especially for the price and connectivity. You can even use it to play on mobile and Lua on a Fire Tv. Yeah, get this!

Warning: check which version you’re buying!
I saw that it’s only listed as compatible with Windows and Android, but several reviews say they got it for their Switch 2 and when I looked it up and found their website, the page it brought me to says “Now compatible with Switch 2” So I thought this would be a good controller to use for my PC and Switch 2
But it won’t connect to the Switch 2 in Bluetooth mode, the adapter mode, or even plugged in
The adapter mode in particular successfully connected to the adapter, but even after trying both versions of the updater, my Switch 2 doesn’t connect to it
After support responded to just updater the software using the V2 version, I tried again and it still wouldn’t work
But then I figured out the problem all along: The type of controller I bought is the Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller (2.4G) (that has yet to get an update to be compatible for the Switch 2 and yet some of the reviews I saw are for the Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller (with no 2.4G switch on the back)

One of the best controllers around period.
This is the 3rd 8Bitdo controller that I have purchased. They make a great product that delivers what you need to play your games. The best part is you don’t ever have to worry about stick drift on this controller. The buttons are the kind of clicky that you want. I love it.

Buen mando calidad precio

I love this overall - affordable!
Didn't need anything expensive but this feels like luxury at an affordable price? Love how its rechargeable. Im a casual gamer who plays alot of basic farm simulator games (Fields of Mistria, Sun Haven, Star dew, Harvest Moon.... lol and other games similar of vibe and similar pace) and I was initially looking into getting a Nintendo switch controller but im glad I gave this a chance! This controller is such a cute color and aesthetic first of all and the other options were just as great. Using it with my PC and it works amazing. No delays, great latency - really reccomend!

It's okay
It's okay if you using it for android. But on pc the quality is decent. Was using it for 3hrs fully charge and it does lose connection on the 2.4G at times. Rather stick with the gamesir nova lite but if you can't find it, this controller is the next option if you on a budget. Remember on pc is wired and 2.4G only. Bluetooth doesn't work on pc only on android devices
Update: as of 5/19/25 after using a extended usb wire for the dongle it works great for my pc and my rog

Cozy Gamers Buy!
Highly recommend for anyone on a budget! Easy to connect and haven’t noticed any issues in the 2 weeks I’ve been using it! Love the color selections, they’re all very “cozy” and they are comfortable to hold. They are slightly smaller than a standard Xbox controller but not noticeably smaller.

Great controller!
This is an awesome controller for the price. It seems well made and has some really nice weight to it compared to other options I've tried. Because of this, it manages to feel more substantial in the hands and the subtle texture provides good grip and comfort. The buttons and triggers also feel really good to me! The letter buttons have an especially satisfying tactile feel, while the others are average but satisfactory in my opinion. The joysticks felt just a bit light to me, but I had no issues with stuck drift or anything like that.
I use this controller primarily on the Steam Deck where it connected immediately and had no dropouts during the gaming sessions. It does work on other systems, but I wasn't able to do any extensive play testing on anything but the SD. For that though, this controller was accurate and responsive enough for any game I play.
Overall I think this is a really great option! I have a few higher-end controllers that I still will use primarily, but I think I will keep coming back to this one for sharing with friends, bringing along with me, or as replacements in the future.

Excellent controller and super responsive but I have trouble with Bluetooth
When it works, it’s a great controller. It feels very comfortable and the joysticks and buttons are responsive. But I’ve had problems with Bluetooth connectivity. The controller stays connected via BT, but it seems to lock up and stops working, so I’ve had to switch to using the 2.4G USB adaptor, which is not how I wanted to use the controller.
I didn’t realize when I ordered this controller that it was for PC and Android only. I had actually hoped I’d be able to use it on my Mac too. I think that’s a bit strange. So I’ve been using it on a PC. Just something to keep in mind for anyone considering it.

ONE OF THE BEST 8-BITDO WINDOWS PC CONTROLLERS EVER!
This has to be absolutely one of the best 3rd party controllers for Windows on the market! Especially for it's price point! It's a very comparable controller when you put it up against a Microsoft Xbox controller. Which is what everybody usually uses for their PC anyways. What makes this a winner is that for about half the price you get an all-around controller that has Hall effect joysticks and triggers. Plus the list of available colors suits every gamer and their setups.
The controller has a wide spaced out feel to it. The shell is all plastic but it does have some texture molded to the back. Once again something similar to an Xbox controller. It has some weight to it giving it a very premium feel. Very comfortable in hand overall. Plus the rubberized thumb grips is nearly perfect. They're wide which helps it accommodate different thumb sizes. Similar to what you would see in a Wii Pro controller. The triggers and button placements are great for extended hours of play.
The controller has a lot of cool features such as turbo and remapping as well. The buttons feel like typical membrane buttons. The only drawback that I see is that the d-pad is a little bit too mushy for my personal liking. They describe it as having a clicky feel but I disagree.
I personally use this controller when I'm playing Xbox Ultimate games on my PC, especially old school games because the d-pad gives you a great range of motion. I've played everything from Street Fighter to DuckTales with this controller and as long as you're playing the right game the directional pad works great.

Great controller at a great price
Great controller that is good value. Of course it’s not as nice as the premium name brand controller, but that one is 10x the price. But this connects really easily to my PC and using the 2.4 dongle has been really easy. Makes it very responsive and great to use. The controller is comfortable and I love the third shoulder button, and the color is great. I’m very surprised about just how good this controller is since the price is so low. Great value!

3x cheaper and 100x better!
This thing is truly amazing! For only $25 this handily beats my xbox one x controller in nearly every way. I can't believe how far third party controllers have come from when I was a kid and how bad they used to be. I'll list the main points I like about this over my xbox controller.
Connectivity: This connects literally instantly and 100% of the time with the included dongle and the 2.4g connection. Using Bluetooth with my xbox controller was such a hassle sometimes. It connects slower when you turn it on and sometimes it wouldn't even connect at all. I've had to restart my pc many times for the bluetooth to work again. The lower input lag of 2.4g is a nice bonus.
Ergonomics: I have smaller hands so the shape of the 8bitdo controller feels much more comfortable to me. The xbox controller is bigger and the handles jut out more and nearly gave my thumb muscles permanent carpal tunnel damage from playing on it too much. I think it's called gamer thumb (this is why I bought the 8bitdo controller in the first place). I never had an issue with the switch pro controller either. I recently started Minecraft on pc a lot with the xbox controller and I think it's what caused my gamer thumb issue in the first place.
Of course having Hall effect sticks is great too for long term use. I already had to replace my switch pro controller once because of left stick failure.
My main pain point with the xbox controller is the extremely bright led light on the center button you can't turn off. I had to tape it up. I'm glad the 8bitdo controller didn't have this idiotic "feature". There are other good things about it too like the extra buttons and too.
Really the only small downside is not having replacable double A batteries. Would be a 11/10 controller for me if it had this feature but I'm fine without it. It'll be a little harder to replace a many years old worn out battery in this but I'm sure finding a replacement won't be too hard.

The 8bitdo 2C controller feels premium despite its affordable price. Love how it feels in my hands. Love the unique color options. The tactile feel of the controller is impressive. It works great with my Lenovo Legion Go. I have the controller paired with my Ivanky 14-1 RGB docking station.

Very solid feeling controller and the extra 2 bumper buttons i like alot
I have alot of controllers but i always like trying out controller's that has that extra feature that i havint tried yet and when i saw this aknes 8bitdo came up for me and i saw it has the extra top bumper buttons which i never saw a controller had before i wanted to try it forsure.
The feel of this controller when i first picked up it feels great has a nice texture feeling and the weight of it feels perfect and the thumb buttons Y X B A they have a nice tactile feeling and the hall effect triggers has a nice smooth feeling and good travel to them than the shoulder bumpers has a nice click to them and so does the hall effect joysticks they feel nice and smooth the d pad i like also has a nice tactile feeling to it. And than the top extra r4 and l4 buttons which i never saw on a controller well none of my other controllers has them ony on the back of them and at first it took getting used to them but after couple hours i started to really love them and they can also be remapped which is easy to do.
The battery life also been great for the 5 days i had this controller i ony charged it once which is when i first received it and been playing racing and trucking games on pc with it a couple hours a day and the battery life is showing 18 percent which you can check it in bluetooth mode and in my opinion that really great battery life and the switch to use it in 2.4 and bluetooth is simple and fast to switch modes.
I have no cons to say about this controller and the value is perfect and I'm sure anyone will love it when they try it out cause i really love it💪

Another winner from 8BitDo
There’s a lot to like about this controller & not much to complain about.
I got the slate blue colorway & it’s a nice, gray-ish blue color. The control sticks & shoulder buttons offer a nice, contrasting purple color (hence the name of the color, blueberry).
This features hall effect sticks + triggers, vibration, turbo & additional buttons near the R1/2+L1/2 triggers that make it easy to program. There is no rgb anywhere on this controller (not a con!).
You’ll get a USB C cable & USB adapter - so you can use this gamepad in wired mode, bluetooth or with the USB adapter. A physical switch behind the controller makes it easy to switch between wireless USB & bluetooth.
I have larger hands & not only is this controller comfortable to hold, but the programmable buttons up top are easy to access as well.
Programming those additional buttons & turbo function is easy. It’s all done through the controller - no 3rd party software required.
I even tested out both the additional buttons & turbo simultaneously. Essentially, I assigned a face button ( X, in this instance) to a shoulder button (R4), and then set up R4 to turbo… so you can press the X button for a single press, or press R4 for X+Turbo. It was pretty easy!
Just keep those instructions handy.
Best of all? The price! You’d be hard pressed to find a gamepad with these features (turbo/macro/hall effect sticks & triggers) from a brand name controller maker.
Sure, there’s plenty of alphabet soup brand companies here hocking their controllers but… at this price point, this is a no brainer.
I highly recommend this gamepad for anyone who games on the PC or mobile. It doesn’t seem to support the switch or xbox but… you’d know that if you read the description, right? :)
Overall, hard to find a better controller. Keep up the great work!

Good and affordable
Not much to say about another iteration of 8bitdo controller. They make compatible and affordable controllers. This particular controller is light weight but feels decent and ergonomic in the hands. Joysticks are nice and springy, returning their set position almost immediately. R/L bumpers are clicky with short actuation, R/L triggers have decent tension and pull. The X, Y, B, A buttons feel good but do have a bit of travel vs a pro controller. Only thing I do not like is the D pad. It's a little too squishy for me. I use this controller with both my PC and laptop, both running Windows 10, zero issues with compatibility or connection.
Overall, this is an affordable controller for casual PC gaming. I do buy 8Bitdo's products and will continue to do so as long as they continue to make quality products at affordable prices.
