Great setup!

Great kit, super easy to set up and connect. I haven’t done the paid version, just basic, and I’m super pleased! I get alerts when employees and patients enter and exit the office and the camera looks sharp aesthetically. Not an eye sore at all.

Easy to install

This ADT security system was easy to set up. The video quality seems good so far. It comes with all necessary hardware. It’s a decent value for the money but would be better if it had 2 cameras instead of just one with sensors.

I think this is an excellent security system that you don’t have to worry about spending a ton of money on individual cameras or an expensive monthly bill. The subscription per month was like 20 $25 for the one that we picked. There are different levels. But what we’re wanting mostly is just to be able to keep an eye on our dogs know if anybody’s open and closing the front door and the ability to call the police or the fire department as needed. This is going to supply all those things to you. As you can tell from my pictures, the images are Crystal clear I like that I can go back and watch the events throughout the day. You can adjust the bases volume as you see fit. You can pick your own code for disarming and arming the system, you can even add to this you can buy more sensors for more windows and more doors. You can buy more cameras to add to it. easy easy easy set up! It was so easy to connect to our Wi-Fi and then once you download the app, it just walks you right through it. I could not have been more impressed how easy it was to set this up. For the price this is one of the best values on home security system that I have come across and I cannot get over the quality in the clarity. For the money this is incredibly good system, and I love the prepaid feature on it. That’s great.!

Solid home security kit! DIY setup for a professional-quality device

I live in a tiny apartment, so subscribing to this type of security system might be overkill for me. However, I was curious to test out a simple monitoring system since break-ins are not an uncommon occurrence here and I see the cop cars at my complex at least once every couple of months. I also want to be able to check on my cat when I'm away. You are required to own a smartphone and download the ADT+ app to use this system, but if you're comfortable with that process then the setup is easy. The app will walk you through each step, though the Bluetooth pairing requires some patience.

At bare minimum a 30-day free trial subscription is required to activate this system, as is normal for any security monitoring. Either $14.99/ month for the basic plan or $34.99/ month for the premium. I don't own anything expensive enough to pay for that kind of insurance, but it's good to know that the service is available. So far, the camera quality seems great and definitely better than a cheaper option which is all I need right now. I'm curious to see how it performs in a low-light situation. The whole kit comes packaged in very elegant and tidy packing, which I do appreciate! Easy to store with an attractive design.

Great DIY Starter Set, But Keep the Subscription in Mind!

If you are looking to dip your toes into home security without a complicated professional installation, this Blue by ADT starter kit is an excellent place to begin.

Right out of the box, you can tell the hardware is really nice quality,it feels durable, modern, and well made. Because it’s a Do it Yourself (DIY) system, getting the base, sensors, and indoor camera up and running is incredibly straightforward, making it a perfect starter setup. The most important thing to keep in mind is that it does require a paid monthly subscription for professional monitoring and to fully utilize features like camera video storage. Overall, if you don't mind the monthly fee for the added peace of mind, it’s a highly reliable, user friendly home alarm set!
