I’ve been using this for about 2 months now and am very happy with my purchase. I take it with me everywhere since it’s super small and can fit just about anywhere. I love that it is virtually weightless so I can clip it to my headphones without it weighing them down. The playback quality is great. The display is very simple but does the trick. The buttons are a bit loud when clicking through the menu but I haven’t had any issues with them sticking. File transfer is super easy. FM radio works great. Overall it’s an incredibly basic device that does exactly what it’s supposed to. I compared this one to a similar device from a different seller and this one is much less cheap-feeling. Highly recommend.

Caught on fire, melted!
It worked fine for 7 months and then it caught on fire while charging and melted the power cord and the plug of the mp3 player. Good thing it was daytime and we smelled the burning plastic and metal, otherwise the office desk would have been caught fire. It is too bad they don't make sure it is safe.

It was amazing till it broke a week in
I LOVE IT , until it broke.. the batteries is great, it's supper easy to upload songs, audio is clear and the navigation in the device is simple. But ive been using it about a week and it suddenly wont let me change Playlist. It freezes than turns off somthing making a loud continous alarm sound. the Playlist it is stuck on work fine though so ive been listen to In Your Fantasy (Ateez),Chk Chk Boom ( stray kids) and a few other songs on repeat while I wait for my replacement.

Simple, basic Mp3 player.
This is a pretty basic, no frills MP3 player. It was easy to load files. My computer recognized it as an external drive. I ended up creating a file folder named music, and dragged and dropped music files into it.
I liked the way this player displays and catagorizes the music. It plays the tracks in the order they appear on the album. Not every inexpensive MP3 player does that. It had a radio, but the headphone cable acts as the antenna. There is no bluetooth.
The navigation of the folders and functions couldn't be easier. If you add additional memory, it shows up a "card folder" and another drive on your computer. I added a 128gb card with no issues.
Sound quality is descent and is more dependent on the quality of your headphones and MP3 file quality. It does not come with headhones, only a charging cable. As I said, it's very basic, but it works well for my needs.

I’ve had this mp3 play r for months now and oh my god. Built cheaply but no complaints. Its super light, and you’d think it breaks easy, but no. I’ve run over this thing in roller skates, dropped it off balcony’s, stepped on it, etc and it still works y’all 😭 i love it with all my heart. One time it split open, just popped it back together easy. One thing I’d say is make a backup sd chip if you’re downloading a lot of music, you might lose it. Also screen protector cant hurt, but you dont need it lol

A bit low-tech but works.
This mp3 player is very compact, features a small color screen and control buttons similar to the older iPods. There is a mini stereo audio jack for headphones, a USB-C charging port (which does not pass audio) and a small power switch. There is a menu structure that allows for navigating for the media types, songs, artist, folders etc. To navigate to folders, one must exit the music menu. Song titles and album artwork are displayed; although the display itself is fairly low resolution. Still readable, but not great. I was able to successfully play music on the device and the headphone output level was adequate for listening. Although smart-phones and tablets are a better solution for playing and organizing music, this little device is useful for things like "band breaks" when you want to pipe some music into the PA between sets etc.; or other uses when you don't want to leave your phone plugged in somewhere and walk away. For the low price, it's a functional, easy solution.

Love having a Sleep Timer!!
The Sleep Timer seems to be labeled weird in that the "Sleep Timer" in Settings only has options for 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 minutes. But if you go to "Power Off" in Settings and then select "Set Sleep Timer" under there, that one lets you select anywhere between 1 and 99 minutes for the player to turn off after. I wish you could hold the button down to increase the minutes rather than pressing it over and over and over for every single minute you want... but if you hold it down for more than a second or so that will lock the player. I still love having a Sleep Timer and I use it every night to fall asleep to instrumental music.
One thing I don't like is that the volume is WAY TOO LOUD for me. Even at the lowest setting it can go (at level 1) I still have to keep my ear buds only about halfway in my ears because it's waaaaay too loud for me!!! I've tried several different brands of ear buds and one set of headphones to see if they were any different... but they were all painfully loud for me. I have a different brand of Mp3 player and that one can be set even quieter than the volume level that is comfortable for me, so that one is MUCH nicer volume-wise.

Worthless for anything but shuffling music tracks
Sad to say this thing is not for you if you’re trying to do anything but shuffle music. I spent many hours relabeling my audiobook tracks in numerical order as suggested by the manual and by previous reviewers and they still show up scrambled. Wish I could get my money and my hours back.

Can confirm LONG PLAY TIME--also great packaging and instructions
Updating this, as I need to buy another one, having lost the prior.
I can confirm that this has a long play time, at least as I used it for sleeping. I was able to get 20+ hours out of it between charges. Note this was running it with only one (white noise) MP3 track on repeat, very low light, and not touching it during the night. YRMV.
I read many unhappy reviews here before choosing the AGPTEK model. I just wanted to chime in that the player came in nice multi-cavity packaging, with a cool design on the box. It even had a name of manufacturer, address, and other information as shown in photos. The instruction manual was just as thorough, if not more thorough, than what I would expect had I bought this for 3x as much from the only remaining electronics big BLUE/YELLOW box retail electronics store. This looks first class so far.

Great MP3 Player to take on a run
I needed an MP3 player that was small, thin and easy to operate. That is exactly what I got.
It was also quite simple to transfer all of my music to the device, which allowed me to use it minutes after I received it.
I would recommend it and I would certainly buy it again.

Attached a Phone Ring holder so I can use lanyard with the player
I have an AGPTek 8GB Mp3 player. One problem with the player was it had no clip nor any place to attach a lanyard. So I purchased this Libosa Transparent Phone Ring Holder (also known as a kickstand). I was able to attach a lanyard to it easily so now I don't have worry about having a pocket to put the MP3 player in but can hang it around my neck. The ring holder was easy to attach to my player and small enough that its not in the way and it seems quite sturdy.

20 hours of battery life, NOT 70 as advertised AND bad customer service
I bought this player because they claimed it had 70 hours of battery life. Right out of the box after a full charge, it had 50 hours max. Within two months it's down to 20 hours of playtime between charges. And that's with turning the device off between uses. I use it every night while sleeping to listen to white noise so it's pretty easy for me to track the hours of playtime I'm getting.
It is small and very lightweight which is nice, but that's the only good thing I have to say about it. It has the absolute worst response time when pressing a button (six seconds for the play button to respond for example). You will find the song you want, hit play...then wait and wait and hope it registered. If you think you might have hit another button you will have to wait that six seconds to find out if it canceled out the play button or not. Then hit play again and wait another six seconds. I've never experienced a delay like this in anything I've ever owned. I'm pretty sure a toaster from 1970 is more technologically advanced than this thing.
There is no volume control on the outside of the device. This wouldn't be such a huge issue if it actually responded to anything you asked it to do when you hit a button to engage the menu. You have to be on the right screen to get the volume to adjust. More often than not it doesn't respond at all or causes the song to pause...which starts the six second wait all over again. Because I listen to this while I sleep this is especially annoying for me. If I need to turn it up to drown out outside noise, I have to be fully awake to get the thing to work because you have to work your way through several screens to get the volume window. Once you do get to the volume window, half the time trying to adjust the volume resets it to a different window and you have to start all over to get it back to the right menu. You can't just reach over and hit the volume button like pretty much every other player I've ever seen.
Now I realize I may just have a lemon (well besides the non existant volume button), so I should just talk to customer service which claims to back their product. Yeah...they don't respond. At least not to me. I got the standard "how do you like our product, please give us a review" email that also stated to reply to that email if I had any questions or problems. I told them the problems I was having and a month later...still no response. You want a review? FINE! Here's your one star.
I replaced this useless piece of plastic with a sony music player which cost twice as much but is worth EVERY PENNY to not have to deal with this device anymore. The one good thing about having wasted $26 on this was that I will now forever appreciate when any music player just starts playing music immediately when you push play or the novelty of having a volume button.
As for the sound quality, that was pretty terrible too when comparing this to the Sony I replaced it with.

Simple but Worth It
If you're just looking for a simple MP3 player to fit your basic listening needs then this is it. It's only 8 gb and I was able to fit about 600 songs with still a lot of space left. If you need more space, you can fit a micro sd card in a side slot on the player. I'm using a Sandisk 32gb micro sd. The only thing with the slot is there's no cover. The material isn't special and the graphics isn't that great but the sound quality is amazing. I have not tried putting e-books on it yet but I'm sure it would go well with this.

Nice device, but may not last long
I had this MP3 player for less than a year before the display got ruined. I always kept it in the shade whenever I could and tried to avoid leaving it anywhere too hot. There are some wonky features it has with cataloging your music, but it's nice overall and the sound quality is good. However, with the display busted like it has been, it's almost impossible to navigate now. I'll be keeping all my music on my phone from here on, and this will be the first and last AGPtEK device I purchase.

3 months of acceptable use before breaking.
Broke after 3 months, which I guess is longer than any others, so I got a better one it seems.
It worked for those 3 months, but that's not saying much. I liked the bookmarks and auto-resume features as primarily used it to load audiobooks on for my commute. The controls felt very cheap and clunky.
The other night I went to resume my book to be met by the start up animation becoming a weird mosiac. I tried rebooting the device several times and was met with the same mosiac a few times before the screen just stayed black and the device stayed dead. I tried to show my wife to complain after i got home only to discover it turned on flawlessly. I grabbed my headphones to see if it was really working, but it wouldn't play. The device will freeze anywhere from immediately to about 8 seconds after booting up now.
I was somehow able to replace the firmware from the AGPtEK website in this state, hoping that it would improve... Sadly, the same issues persist. The product is now an expensive 8gb memory stick that self ejects randomly between 1-8 seconds after you plug it in.

May give it one more try, needs to be further improvement
I purchased the 2015 version back in July of 2015 and it lasted for 8 or so months, but the battery slowly deteriorated over this time. I kinda neglected the on and off switch most of the time, but the company doesn't seem to mention much that simply powering it off with the center button won't stop battery drain.
I ordered my new 2016 model in late April, and unfortunately it was never correctly delivered to me by the USPS. USPS has a reputation for being lackluster in package delivery.
This leads me to my now THIRD AGPteK player.
The player lasted two weeks roughly before the screen went white. I could hear my music but couldn't navigate the menus. Further, the MP3 player wouldn't power on unless plugged into USB. 2 or so weeks and the thing bricks on me. Come on AGPtek!
Here's my list of needed improvements for this to be a solid player, which it falls short of, sadly:
1. Better build quality: This is a paper light MP3 device. As such, it seems as the technology is crammed into a small and flimsy place and because of this, it is prone to far more wear. I think this is part of the reason mine white screened after two weeks. MP3's should be something you can slide in a pocket and know it will be safe. That is not the case exactly with this player. Also, the rubber coating can wear off quickly on these players
2. Organized files by ID3 tag: As others mention, this player organizes everything alphabetically. This means that under "From Ashes To New" you will get "Shadows" as the first track under the "Day One" album. The correct first track is "Land of Make Believe". The only way to slightly adjust for this is to name the actual track "01 Land of Make Believe", If you're like me and have a collection, you will have several songs under "All artists" competing for the number one spot on your personal billboard. Really annoying! AGPteK says to go into folder mode, but this is not convenient because I like to shuffle all my songs while I'm driving. You cannot shuffle all songs in folder mode. This mistake has been pointed out and there's no reason the company cannot fix this.
3. True "Expandable" Memory: I never have had this problem, because I've never filled the player up fully, but apparently there is a 4,000 song limit. IDK if this is total between MicroSD and player or overall, but if you're gonna sell a device that is capable of up to 32 or more GB of music, at least make it function correctly!
This is probably your best bet for an MP3 for extended battery life and storage capacity, but it falls short of greatness because of it's vulnerable hardware and few software issues. If AGPtek takes reviews like this into serious consideration, they can bring the dying MP3 market back to life with a device that costs a fraction of an Ipod with plenty of features. I am not a video-on-the-go type of person, so those things dont matter to me, but don't look here for videos, photos, etc.
If one more MP3 player fails on me, I will upgrade to a smartphone and leave the MP3 market behind. Budget MP3 players, might I add.
Take my review with a grain of salt and remember. You get what you pay for!

Awesome little MP3 player
So my iPod Classic 160GB finally bit the dust and I'm looking for a player to hold a least 90 GB and thinking that there would be a plethora of them available and cheep! Wrong. Well I decided to get this APGtEk for $21.99. Can't go wrong right? I have a scan disk 64 GB card I thought I'd try it out, going against the manufacturers warnings about compatibility issues. Well it worked fine. I've transferred just over 4000 songs onto the card and I'm super happy about that. I actually got rid of some stuff I didn't need or want anyway. The volume is a little lower than I would like. Car and gym playback is great but when mowing grass I'd like a little extra bump in volume. The navigation is a little weird but I've only had it for a day. I'll get used to it. I will never figure out why there is an eBook folder. Silly with such a small screen. But I do love the size of this. Much lighter than the iPod. I have the armband made for this and I barely know its there. Sound quality is good. I really can't tell any difference between the iPod and this one. All the album art didn't transfer but I finally figured out to use Media Monkey. Still working on that but having fun with it.
