Only works when there’s direct sun

Everything is great except the fact that there’s no on/off switch meaning you can’t let the solar panels charge, because of this it only works when there’s direct sun shining on it :( Disappointing but it’s pretty when it is working.

Great little solar bird bath!

This little solar bird bath fountain works really well! I’ve already seen little birds splashing in it. It does require direct sunlight. I like the different sprays available………..some powerful, some light. You can select the one that fits your bird bath, without spraying outside the bath.

Needs full noontime sun

This just barely works in full sun at noon.

Even the shadow the nozzle casts on the solar panel is enough to cause it to stutter and stop flowing.

In the pic you can see it's barely bubbling despite being in nearly full sun at 11am

My Hummingbirds are spoiled, they love this !!!

I looked at a bunch of these, and then a friend of mine referred me to this particular one, so I bought it. I could not be more happy. It’s easy to use, and it’s wonderful!!! Here’s a video, I put it out in the birdbath today, you do have to fill it up quite often with water, probably at least once a day. I just have a bottle of water standing by, and when I walk by, I add more water,…. but that’s OK. I’ll do anything for my humming birds.

Updated Oct 16…Imagine my surprise when it stopped working within the return window! I’m returning it fersure. I bought a 1.5W fountain a couple weeks after this one. It’s still working but I don’t have high hopes for it now…

Reviewed Oct 1…🐝🐸🦎❤️ the barrels gotta go but I must have water for these thirsty bees. The AISITIN Solar Bird Bath Fountain Pump is a simple solution for stagnate water. It’s a little strong for the bees so I partially covered it and that settled it sufficiently. It’s taken a week but the bees are finally accepting the arrangement. Apparently the frogs are too as I found it full of frog eggs this morning. I think I’ll get a couple more for the frogs and lizards that live inside the lanai cage. I hope it lasts but for 10 dollars I don’t even mind replacing it periodically. I am so pleased 😊

ps… these few weeks have seen some upgrades and many more bees coming. My plan is a success. Come winter there will be more improvements. Yay!

Enjoyable for You and the Birdies!

Love this! It works when the sun hits it, and the birds on my balcony enjoy that! Just remember to change out the water and wipe it down, occasionally, as the birds do actually ‘bathe’ in it!

Wish I bought it sooner!

Love it!!! It holds charge and keeps going w lights at night! Amazing ! I use the lowest setting so the water doesn’t splash out and the bowl gets emptied if there’s any wind, the water goes outside if at the high fountain setting. Hope it lasts through the end of summer.

Poor Design and Functionality

Unless the sun is directly overhead, it doesn’t work. Has no battery connected to the solar cells, so unlike solar lights for the yard, it doesn’t function without direct sun actively shining on top of it. If it’s a bit overcast, nothing. Even if it’s fully in the sun, but the sun is hitting it at an angle (such as in the evening), barely a drizzle or turn on and off- I think this is because the fountain piece in the middle casts a small shadow on one of the solar cells, even though all the other cells are still exposed to the sun. I also had to drill larger holes into the plastic piece on top because when it would finally get full overhead sun, the water would go so high (with all the options, I tried them all) my bird bath would be empty within a couple hours. Just annoying and disappointing.

Still going strong!

Purchased almost a year ago and still holding up, a little large for an 11" glass bird bath but it works. Multiple spray nozzles came with it but the motor was so powerful it sprayed right out of the bath, surprising for the small motor mounted on the bottom, so I took the nozzle off and let it bubble. Motor stops when it runs out of water so no worries about burning the motor up, and even still does a gentle pulsing bubble to keep the water moving when it's overcast instead of direct sunlight.

Works well as long as water is clear

Bought this to aerate a 1 acre pond. Worked well until weeds clogged the pump. Suggest you tie a line to it so if gets clogged with weeds or drifts into shallow water and sediment clogs it you can retrieve it and clean it. Otherwise let it drift around and spray water out for aeration

Full sun, clean, lots of water-no work

Wow, this must be a record. Tried to ask seller the question, no way to reach. No info on website either. 15 days, done, broke. Glad it was only $10-and worth much less.

UPDATE: Many months later, after a bit of research, and elbow grease I fount the culprit - the motor had a seed caught in it. I freed it up and the thing just goes and goes! Sorry for jumping to the wrong conclusion. I WILL buy here again.

USE THE LITTLE CLEAR STRAWS TO KEEP IN MIDDLE!!!!!

After much trial+error, I too was frustrated on how fast the spray would cause water level to drop where no longer worked. This was because the pump in my small container floated constantly away from center and spray would go out of container . I was trying rocks , everything to keep it centered THEN i remembered those 4 clear sticks in box THAT ARE MENTIONED NO WHERE IN DIRECTIONS LOL. Sure enough, there are four tiny holes all around outer edge of pump. You stick those sticks into holes and it helps keep centered as when sticks hit wall it goes back to center!!! I had to cut ends d/t my small container but now minimal over spray and that’s only d/t one rogue hole that is spraying wonky in different direction!!! So for small containers with over spray, THIS IS THE ANSWER. I feel silly it took me that long to figure it out, not sure why not on directions lol. It is great!! Nice sound!!!! Do note, even your shadow if you lean over it will cause it to stop till you move. Very sensitive if not enough light. Full sun all the way!!!

Positively Love this little fountain

This little go-getter wanted to start right up and it wasn't even facing the sun yet. We have another solar pump if i hold it out of the sun, it won't go, which is OK when I'm trying to clean the birdbath it's in. This one just wants to run, ASAP. I love it. A friend of ours is a potter and she made us the birdbath in the video. This is perfect for it. The little clear plastic spokes for the sides i imagine keeps it from getting stuck along the edge. It comes with so many sprauer options and accessories, you can change it up every day. The price is wonderful too, just makes you want to put fountains everywhere!

I think i got a lemon

I was so excited to get this little solar fountain for my pond because it's such a neat concept. Upon receiving, there we no instructions for startup in the box, but it's pretty simple so I figured it out. I put it outside in the pond and it was just pulsating slightly, barely pushing out any water. Upon reading other reviews, it seems this thing doesn't have any power reserve, so as soon as it's not in direct sunlight, it stops working. The pond was shaded during the time of day so i filled up a tub and put it in direct sunlight and it still didn't work, still only pulsating slightly. Not sure what went wrong, because even with sufficient water and direct sunlight it wasn't working. Maybe I just got a defective product, I really wanted to like this product but unfortunately i will be returning.

Love it!

This is a great fountain but you NEED to put it in a wide vessel so the water stays in while in use. I purchased a 24” wide bowl from Wayfair, added a few rocks to keep the fountain centered and use it daily. It is very sensitive to light, partially cloudy days it works on and off but full sun days it runs all day long. Make sure the motor doesn’t get clogged and change out water regularly to keep it working.

Easy Setup

I used the solar fountain in a large flower pot next to petunias. It started working as soon as it was out of the box in direct sunlight. It needs direct sunlight to work properly. It will bubble on a cloudy day. The nozzles add a lot of height and caused the water to dissipate pretty fast so I decided to not use the nozzles in this arrangement. I love the sound of the water and the quality has been great, especially for the price!

fun & function

this fountain is a seratonin machine! i like to keep a bucket or pool of water handy in the garden & wanted a solar fountain to disturb the surface and prevent mosquitos from breeding in the water. it has been effective. when i use the attachments, the spray effect makes a lovely view. I haven't had a single technical issue thus far.

as pictured, I currently am just letting it bubble, which is a peaceful sound in the garden. I attached a net outside to help keep detritus out of the filter, but if I were using fresh water in a bird bath I'm sure it would hold up just fine.

Nice solar fountain

Works great in the sun. You may have to play around with the different spray tops to find the right size for your birdbath. I felt like they needed to include that bit of info in there. I thought a little more weight was needed to hold the pump centered so I added a few glass beads to the straws. Now it works perfectly and I don’t have to worry about the fountain cycling the water onto the ground.

Inconsistent- Not Recommended

I was very excited to try this product out.

However, after testing it out for 2 full days in full Sun, rain and gloomy weather... I don't recommend this product.

With full Sun, the fountain is powerful and shoots upward pretty high and the water splashes everywhere draining your bowl/fountain.

Any sort of obstruction or cloud will hinder the power of this product. I've played around with the different nozzles and no matter what combo I choose, it still wastes water eventually. I've tested from a full bowl of water to 2 inches of water and I'm not satisfied with how it sprays in general. It's pretty when it the right amount of sun but it's just inconsistent.

Bottom line, if you don't mind constantly refilling your water and having it splash everywhere, buy this product. If not, choose a different product.

This worked for 5 min and then malfunctioned

I followed the minimal instructions received with this fountain. I have over 2 inches of water in the bird bath (minimum 2 " required). It was easy to assemble. As soon as I walked into the sunlight, I could feel it buzzing.

I immediately put it into the bird bath. It worked great.... for 5 minutes! Then the water started pulsating out of the unit (see short video. It did this for about 8 min then started working properly.... for 2 mins. It resumed pulsating and hasn't worked properly since. This is NOT what I expected!

The key is not to use the attachmemts

This little solar fountain is fantastic!!! At first I was annoyed because the soray was so high and all of the water was ending up outside the bowl. It would empty all the water in about 15 minutes. I have now determined that if you remove all attachments and just let it do its thing then it bubbles and flows just right keeping all of the water in the fountain. I have had mine for a few months and it's still going strong. Would definitely recommend!

Satisfied Customer

Purchased two of these AISITIN 2.5W Solar Fountain Pumps in July for the bird baths in my garden. These work well to keep water moving which discourages mosquitoes from laying eggs, aerates the bath basin, and attracts wildlife.

Easy to set up, clean, and maintain. Make sure to check the pump intake regularly and clean any debris that might clog the pump.

The straws do a good job of keeping the fountain centered in the basin. All of the fountain spray attachments work well, just be aware that the fuller spray nozzles might blow water out of smaller bird bath. As you can see from the pictures I use the bubbler, which the birds & bees seem to prefer over the fuller spray.

Overall I’m very satisfied with this purchase and would buy again.

This is a great product if you revise it

I just needed a little bubbler for my huge Rock bowl bird bath. As others have advised, I got some large suction cups and glued one on the back of the pump.

It is down on the bottom of the Stone because of the suction cup.

I didn't receive any suction cups with the order, and the straws were worthless.

Floating Fountain Pump is fun in the sun

Ordered AISITIN 2.5W Solar Fountain Pump, and it arrived FAST. This is a floating fountain pump, and comes assembled except for the assorted fountain tips. My pool is dirty, but the fountain pump has been working for days and is due for a cleaning. The 2.5W Solar Fountain pump works in the SUN, and doesn't hold much charge, so when it gets to the shady side, or a cloudy day it slows down and stops. There are larger wattages available from this seller, but I am happy with the 2.5W. I started with the tall connector with multi-head, but the fountain was strong enough it would splash outside the pool; the low connector with multi-head sprays upward about 5 inches in full sun and splashes on the floating pump.

The AISITIN 2.5W Solar Fountain Pump is a great size for a bird bath as long as the floating pump is submerged, I haven't tested how shallow the pool can be, 1 or 2 inches, for the pump to continue working, my pool had about 3 inches of water when I took the photo.

Works fine in the sunshine!

I found the directions inadequate. It’s not that there a lot of set up but, is there a film over the solar panel? No. There is a foam ring that keeps it safe and dark, until you are ready to set up. It came with 3 small white straws that were not mentioned in the directions. They remain a mystery to me. I did try different sprinkler fitting configurations but, when clouds or a shadow covers the fountain, the fountain struggles less without any (as shown). This is a good full sun fountain pump. :)

Good but…

This little fountain works great in the direct sunlight. But regardless of what head I use the water still sprays outside of my birdbath meaning I need to refill the water constantly. So I removed all of the fancy heads so it just bubbles now but the water stays within the bowl. I suctioned the unit to the back side of small terra-cotta saucer to keep it from moving around. Works great now.

For the price worth a try

First photo worked great but only for a short time and all the water was gone. Bird bath was too shallow and not wide enough(13”) so my error. Second photo I used a deep and wide planter 19”. Since the planter was really deep I filled with rock so it would be safe for birds and served as a buffer to keep fountain in the center.

SolarPowered Bird Bath Fountain Pump

Works great! As soon as it hit the light I could feel the pump humming in my hand, and then placed in water it began pumping water. I’m using the taller piece only, that you would mount the fancier pieces to and it works like a water fountain squiting a nice thick squirt about 3 inches high. I placed it in a container and have not had to ever refill the water. I saw a homemade hummingbird feeder and they seem to like the dribbling fountains a lot. I’m looking for a more permanent type of bird bathe but for now this one is working well. I remove it each night and let it dry out and then put it out again in a clean container of water the next day. I also added a couple sticks for the birds to perch on, hummingbirds especially. My Malamute thinks it’s a drinking fountain so I’ll have to place it up higher. So far I love it.

It will work and cheaper than a fountain

I bought this for a little water noise in my back yard. We live in the sunnies city in the world (Yuma, Arizona) so if it doesn’t work here folks, it’s not going to work anywhere. It turned on the SECOND I brought it into the sun. The suction seems to slow down at times, probably due to some small piece of dirt of leaf in the water although it’s fresh water. It’s a tiny pump so I would guess that’s why. Some other reviews were saying that it doesn’t stay in the middle and sprays the water out of the fountain. This tip keep all the water close in so it doesn’t go out. Suction cups are useless unless you have it in like 2 inches of water and it’s a glass container, but that’s ok with me I don’t need them. I have only had it for one day so I’ll update the review if anything changes.

Cute little solar fountain for your birdbath!

I had a little fountain, similar to this in my birdbath last year. And, it lasted a whole year. But, the freeze this past winter finally took it out. :(

This one is a little different. The 2.5W motor does a great job of pumping water through the fountain. Too good, in fact. The spray from every head was so high that the water was blowing out of the birdbath. So, I just used the straight pipe, no sprinkler.

Another difference is that this one has no battery. The fountain depends in direct sunlight to function. If it's cloudy, the fountain just spurts every other second. If it's in the shade, it will stop completely. I stood where my shadow was cast over the fountain and it stopped immediately. So, just make sure you put your birdbath where it will get full sun as much as possible.

Because it floats, you will need to find some way to stabilize it in the center of the birdbath. Put three rocks around it, or something. Otherwise, it will float to the edge and spray water outside.

For $15, I think that this Aisitin birdbath fountain is a good deal. Five stars.
