Incredible power for such a little device

This is a miraculous little device that delivers incredible power and sound clarity. I have it connected to a TV with an optical SPDIF output and powered by the USB port of an external USB HDD enclosure (really useful, though you could just as easily power it with any USB charger you already have. The box only includes the USB cable, not the charger itself), and it delivers fantastic sound.

I have the "BASS" control set to 100% and the "TREBLE" at 60% for crystal-clear highs. Even though I like loud volume, I only ever need to turn the volume control up to 40% at most. It’s a truly useful little amplifier. 100% recommended!

An Amazing Difference!! Did not disappoint!!

WOW! What a difference. Amazing. I am using this on my MSI Codex R2 Gaming Desktop PC. Audio chipset is a Realtek AL897, pretty standard PC 7.1 HD Audio. It just wasn't enough for my Sony MDR7506 which sound great, btw. It just lacked. With the AIYIMA DAC-A2 installed, what a difference. I went with the optical port out, straight into the optical port on the back, changed a couple of settings on my PC (it did not change automatically) and boom!! I like my music loud, and was not disappointed. My cans are vibrating on my head!! For some people having an issue or confused, it is pretty easy.

Some pointers for first timers -

Make sure you remove the rubber covers on the optical cable. (I know it sounds basic, but some people are new to this).

Any USB port will work for the included USB cable to power the device.

Go into your sound setting and make some changes if you aren't getting sound.

Make sure to change the toggle switch in front to the desired input.

Great for PS5! UAC 1.0 compliant

I was looking for a DAC that would work on PS5 so I could use my Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 80ohm headphones properly. The controller doesn't really push their drivers, it's just loud enough, with no meaningful bass. But this DAC solved the problem. It seems a lot of the budget friendly DAC's don't have separate treble and bass control like these. That was the selling point for me. They sound great, no static or buzzing, clean sound, bass turned up, just works! I use a Schiit stack on PC, and if I didn't have that, I would've immediately purchased another one of these for PC. I may get another and replace the stack solely because of the treble and bass controls. The stack sounds clean, but some extra bass would be nice, and this would supply it.

Package comes with a USB-C cable for power, a Toslink (optical audio cable), and a USB type B cable (type A to type B printer style cable) for USB audio input (for audio out on PS5 in my case).

***Huge note: it doesn't come with a charge block, I tried powering it through the PS5 USB port, and tried through my TV's USB port. Both did not supply enough power. Make sure you have a spare charging block that'll properly supply power. You'll know it's getting powered when the red light is on solid when the volume is switched to the on position. When not properly powered, it will lightly blink on and off intermittently.

If you're looking for a DAC for use on PS5, I recommend this one all day.

Highly recommend

Purchased this amp for my DT 990 Pro (80ohms), my audio sounds way better and louder! Great size, Great quality, i also like the feedback from the knobs. All around great purchase for a budget amp.

Coming from a Micca OriGain, it's a big upgrade!

Sounds as good as / better than my last budget hifi dac+amp combo.

On top of that, the volume control from the OS is actually honored, so I can use my keyboard volume control rather than the knob again.

It pairs wells with the A07, in fact that's the only reason I bought it.

The bolt colors don't match the A07, nor does the font or the logo size - probably doesn't come out of the same factory. Luckily the bolts at least are the same thread size, so I swapped the DAC face bolts with the rear bolts on the A07 and now I have a matching set. Needs to look cool too, after all.

Amazed but not Surprised.

My computer desk set up which is made up of 2 very low cost Aiyima products and 1 Fosi Audio product sounds infinitely clearer and fuller than the much more expensive listening room system I have set up. These mini items are just incredible. Audiophile quality when it comes to the sound? Yes.

Ayiama paired with Fosi amplifiers

Have it paired with a Fosi Audio bt10 bluetooth amplifier. DAC improved the sound through the speakers. Playing JBL live 500bt, sounds great. Clear highs tight bass. Very satisfied

Lots of hissing. (Also not an exact Fosi clone)

Aiyima seems to be using the same shell or housing as the fosi but they're a lot different on the insides just based on layout. The Fosi seems to have higher quality capacitors and resistors. Which to my ears the Fosi has way better bass and less hissing. Pictures provided on internals. They have the same controllers too. But it seems like the AIYIMA is just using the older wasted bins of Fosi's old platform.

Great

Honestly this little guy is extremely solid and I would recommend if you're looking for better sound quality or volume.
