I’m sold!!
My new love jones!! I own every modern MPC and most of the old ones, this one does the job and then some. It certainly has that level of snappiness and response that the previous ones were missing. The 3.0 interface had me upset before, but now it’s apparent, they were setting us up for the live 3. I feel like, the extra RAM is what is needed to make the 3.0 software run efficiently. The interface runs into bottleneck issues on the live 2 due to the amount of ram that is used to make the 3.0 move. If you are getting aquainted with the 2, I would say wait until you have it down before jumping to the 3. If you are an aficionado like myself, make the leap to the 3. The only issue I have now, is going back to the 2. The speed difference and efficiency make that difficult. If you drive a Ford and then jump to a Porsche, hoping back into that Ford will certainly make you feel like you’re missing something.
