Great camera and functionality

I love this camera for its ease of use and setup. In app ads are very annoying in the free version but the quality of the videos is excellent. Zoom and other features are only available in the paid service. Motion capture is much more reliable than my ring cameras. Currently using to capture my pet when she uses her word board. Would definitely purchase again and have recommended the product to friends.

You need to pay $6/month for basic features

Just to use the zoom feature you have to pay $6/month. This is a joke. Wish I knew that before I bought it. I will be returning mine for that reason everything else works as you would expect

Great motion detection and picture quality

The installation was easy and the quick to connect to the app. App is also very user friendly. The camera has great motion detection. We have a dog and use the camera to monitor the dog when we are away. It also has very good night vision.

TERRIBLE WIFI Receiver

The picture is of 2 of my 3 cameras I ordered. The wifi router is only 20ft on the other side of that wall with no electronics nor other common interferences between nor around them. 1 camera has a weak signal while the other won't even connect until its within about 15ft of the router. The 3rd camera is the same way.

So, 2 of the 3 cameras won't even reach my router which is off center towards them to the exterior of my 2000sqft home. My router is a Ubiquiti Amplify Alien router. My phone has strong wifi signal 100ft in my yard past these cameras and my Alexa speakers work fine around the house and even in the kids playhouse in the backyard, but these cameras would not even get a signal in the kids playhouse.

The 3rd camera is in my living room about 18ft from the router and connected and was setup but will not stay connected.

I DO NOT recommend these cameras unless you plan on using them extremely close to a strong wifi AP.

They all 3 are very nice and work as advertised with the exception of the very bad signal issues. They have great mounting options included with good instructions and are very easy to setup.

If Alfred would improve this wifi receiver just a little bit these would be a great buy, and still may be for a few select people.

I am very pleased with these cameras.

I've been a Alfred camera user for two years now using old cell phones for cameras. When these cameras came out I decided I wanted these. Since I use both the Alfred app for cell phone camera and now the Alfred cam I am mostly comparing the two here.

I added a cropped image from both my Alfred app Galaxy Phone camera and the Alfred camera with both located on the same shelf with the same timestamp in a fairly dark room.

The camera angle is much wider than my phone cameras so I can see my whole living room with one camera where I used to need two. The low light image without using the built in infrared is way better than I expected. With just a little light in the room the image looks as if the room was fully lit up and is in full color. Even a night light in the hallway is enough to see clearly at night. With the infra red turned on the image is black and white so I prefer just to have low lights on. If I turn the hall light on the Galaxy will adjust with a nice image, the Alfred cam will show the living room clear but the hall will be too bright for the image to be usable.

When comparing to using Alfred with a phone camera, zooming in on the image using an old galaxy phone is actually better and you can see that in these images. Movement is also a little more blurred with the Alfred camera.

The motion sensor works very well and it is very easy to go back and review something if I need to. Since this cam is for monitoring my pets I don't use the human filter so it picks up every movement of the pets and records it.

I added a 64G memory chip and so far I have about two weeks worth of non stop video if I cared to watch it. I don't know how many days it will keep before it starts to overwrite the older days. I have another brand outdoor camera with a 128G chip and I have several months of video on it. For me a 64G chip is plenty. The phones continuous recording is less than 8 hours.

Overall I am very impressed with the cameras for the price that they are.

Home and business monitoring

These Alfred cams are great to monitor a room, a yard, or even a fish tank.

The continuous record feature combined with the ability to scroll through footage easily are my favorite features.

I have 6 Alfred cams and one old phone running Alfred Cam app as a camera.

These are really great.

The camera is easy to set-up, and the app is very straight-forward.

I put the camera in the patio and it does a great job even when it’s dark. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would very much recommend it.!

Excellent camera for pet/indoor use

I recently purchased this security camera and was immediately taken aback by how effortless the setup process was. Right out of the box, everything was intuitive. The instructions were straightforward, and within minutes, the camera was up and running.

Its sleek design not only blends perfectly with my property but also carries a promise of robust functionality. Day and night, the image quality remains stellar. The night vision capability is particularly commendable, offering crisp footage even in absolute darkness.

Perfect product way to go Alfred you did not cease to amaze!

I'll try to be as detailed as possible and not leave anything out positive or negative so here it goes..

I've used the Alfred App for several years to turn old smartphones & laptops into home security systems for free or sometimes I'd pay for the subscription which costs about the same price as this camera did and was good for a whole year.

(Pretty decent when you dont even have to buy extra equipment at all!)

With the Alfred App I've caught my son a few times knocking things off the wall and then immediately yelling (lying to me) "MOMMAAA...UHH YEAH THIS THING JUST FELL MOM I DONT KNOW HOW BUT IT JUST FELL!"

(ME: Straight-faced: oh yeah it just fell did it? Lol)

And other incidents a little more serious and I have always appreciated Alfred's completely user/beginner-friendly set up in all of their options!

I don't know about anyone else, but I've ordered actual little hidden cameras online before- but I don't remember the brands, but I never could figure any of them out..ever!

(And I'm usually pretty good with electronics and stuff like that) -but they all got returned after the first day of no success.

So this is REFRESHING to FINALLLY be able to say that in 5 real MINUTES, I had REAL SUCCESS and the IMPECCABLE QUALITY of the success is UNMATCHABLE to say the least!!

I can't believe the image quality for this price I was blown away as soon as I saw it! and you don't normally get the actual wall adapter to go with the USB cord these days with a lot of products so I thought that was pretty thoughtful of them to include!

All of the items in the box were definitely carefully packaged with safety for its condition during delivery in mind.

Now, if im being 100% honest here, even with my appreciation for the Alfred App already, the downside of using it with just a smartphone was always the same 2 issues being the image quality was usually not too great but for free, how can u complain, when it's basically depending on whatever kind of phone you're using for the camera. The other issue was the fact that on a smart phone, even with the subscription, you could not continuously record and if you were watching it and manually recorded an event, or using the motion sensor feature it would only record up to 30 seconds at a time. I believe it was only up to 5 seconds without the subscription (free version)

With this camera they have definitely solved both of those issues and far exceeded my expectations!

I can't stress that enough how impressive it all is.

The only issue that I can think of that is throughout the free version / subscription version / actual Alfred Camera, that I still don't see any solution for is the siren feature. You cannot set up to go off unless you manually set it off. I think if they could somehow update the firmware for the Alfred Camera to set off the alarm maybe if the motion detector was triggered in certain areas during specific time frames like at night only upon entering the door you know something like that then i think that would be more than impressive.

Even if they don't do anything about the siren, you will not at all regret owning this- I already want to buy 2 more and my first-one-ever just came an hour ago and I ordered it yesterday, so, you can't beat that!

I hope this helps anyone else like me on a budget that needs pretty immediate security on their stuff, or their home, or their loved ones this is the one you want to try!

10/10 very reliable with great support

I really happy with AlfredCamera. Excellent security camera that truly impressed me with its extensive range of features. Especially the free 7 days storage, which is an absolute favorite of mine. Not having to worry about additional costs for storage or maintaining fee is definitely a huge plus. You can also add memory card to it, but I don't need it for now. Their customer support is also great, I experienced difficulty once and they were able to helped me efficiently.

It has the scrolling notifications with preview frames, I like it cuz it save me the hassle of opening the app when there's nothing suspicious happening.

You can watch both recordings and live feeds. (Note: In the last picture, I intentionally blurred the image for privacy purposes, but rest assured, the actual image quality is better.)

In addition to its functionality, I also like the minimalism packaging, as shown in the open box video. Setting it up is a breeze, and I love the flexibility it offers – whether you prefer to mount it on a wall or like me simply just use my outdoor outlet lol

They have more various paid advanced features in the settings you can adjust to what you need such as zoom in or specific area movement detection.

I was so pleased with my AlfredCamera that I decided to get another one for my kitchen. This came in handy when someone in the house couldn't hear their phone, and I could just use the microphone function to communicate with them live like most security camera but with better prices which I like.

Overall, AlfredCamera is an outstanding choice for me, offering a comprehensive security solution with added convenience and flexibility. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable and feature-packed security camera for their home or workplace.

Easy to set up and very functional. The app is very cheap and it's ideal to just subscribe to Alfred pro to get the zoom and HD features. Plus the extra storage time on the cloud...

I use these to keep an eye on my doggie while I'm at work. Works great.

Amazing camera!!!

Love this product! This camera is very easy to use and I was able to set it up in just a few minutes. Night vision is excellent that I can see in total darkness and keep an eye on my little one while she’s sleeping.

It works with reasonable price

I bought ring for monitoring my cat with $60, and this product serves exact some function (also similar pixel of camera quality) with only half of the price. I cant complain anything more!

Worth the hassle trying to pair! Amazing clarity even at night.

This camera is amazing. I sleep better at night knowing this is running. I’ve had my vehicle vandalized, my neighbor was burglarized and our complex cameras were of no use. I started using an old phone. Decided to buy this for better night vision and clarity. It took about 10 times resetting the camera and attempting to pair it, when finally it paired. It was very frustrating pairing it and I was getting ready to return it. When it finally paired! It has been well worth the hassle. So clear even at night time it looks like it’s still daylight. It came with one month free premium when using the AlfredCam app. You can add a MicroUSB card for additional storage. Set a motion detection zone. So it’s not constantly sending notifications. Turn sound on/off- which picks up sound of even my neighbor kids playing outside. It’s truly an investment.

It works pretty well after sometime to set up

We just got our new cat Fifi who can be a bit mischievous and rambunctious at times. We wanted to ensure everything is fine while she was left home alone, and this camera works perfectly! Absolutely love that you can use the “hearing” function and the “speaking” function. We’ve spoken through the camera several times when she starts to go after a pillow, or something she’s not supposed to.

I set up my Alfred camera following the instruction booklet. I downloaded the app, and It was very easy until the step where the camera was to read the QR code. I kept trying it at different distances and angles but it just won’t work. After several tries, I finally figured out that you shouldn’t set it up near a window (cause the sunshine and the glare thing). It worked immediately when I did the same thing but in the bedroom with the curtains on.

All in all, I would highly recommend this camera to anyone who has a pet, baby, or just for regular inside home security. It gives us peace of mind and makes it easy to check on our cat. I plan on purchasing more of these little cameras to monitor my entire home so we won’t miss any moments wherever she goes.

I've been with the app ( like 8 yrs) since the app wasn't good enough but over the time they improved the software,now is working really good.

When the camera were released i didn't think twice in buy it.

I started with only 1 a little bit struggling with the first one in the beginning, but maybe the improved the camera software and now they are working good.

Now I have 4 cameras and 2 cellphone with the app working for my business,

And now I don't have problems at all, using them.

Alfred Indoor Security Camera 1080

This wide-angle view indoor camera (130 degrees) looks similar to cameras offered by other manufacturers like TP link and Kasa. The Alfred camera is lightweight and feels like it will really only survive for indoor use. It came packaged inside of a white cardboard box along with some mounting hardware, a USB-A 5V/1amp charging block, an USB A to USB-micro cable, and the instruction guide booklet.

I found the installation to be fairly straightforward. I installed the Alfred Camera app, followed the menu prompts after selecting "add a camera," and then selected "Alfredcam"

The camera worked as expected. Low light performance was ok but not spectacular. (There is no mention of starlight sensor technology in this camera.) But decent performance for a budget camera.

Overall, a slightly better than average option for anyone needing a security camera on a tight budget. This is good for the price point, but more features should be available for free rather than an upgrade. And there are upgrade advertisements in the app which is not obnoxious but can be in the way.

Great camera

Love the wide view can see a lot going on. Easy to set up and use. It does have ads and can’t do so much without purchasing upgrade subscriptions. Good camera definitely good to have. Wide view is the best to have I can see everything in one look. Saves motions to view anytime.

Not easy set up for paring.

This is not a ad free item if you don’t upgrade it to to their premium service. 1 month for $5.99 or pay for a year for total $29.99

I like the tiny design of the camera seems good made, their picture and video quality looks nice but since I didn’t sign up for the service so I can only view it by the small screen and many ad….

The setup looks easy on the booklet’s introduction but in fact it took me a hour to finish it. First you need to find a good location to put or mount this is the easiest part in set up. Then, you need to download the app, update the firmware which not take me too long. After all these you need to scan a QR code to pair your phone to the camera…. It is the hardest part for my experience with this device. I followed the 6-10 inch distance from the manual shown but no matter how near or how far I tried it just can not get my phone to connect to the camera. I feel so stupid and disappointed about taking a phone screen facing the camera try to find the sweet spot for the paring. Anyway, it took me more than 20 minutes to finally done.

Anyway, this is a nice camera, poor firmware, software and setup process. When I scan a small service QR code inside the booklet it bring me to a simple site written in Chinese…. Why? I am not sure why?

I like the video quality but very sad you need to see it with lot of ad. Night mode it’s not super but good enough.

Confusing directions. Abundant limitations. Plus you need the app. Nonstop ads. Annoying.

This AlfredCamera didn't work for us. To use this Alfred Camera you must download the AlfredCamera app, which is lacking in soooo many ways. It took HOURS to try to set up (by two adults with technology career expertise) and was extremely frustrating, to no avail. Not only do we find the "instruction book" useless, but the online instructions are just as limited. In the end, we concluded that neither the app nor the Alfred Camera were going to work for our purposes.

If you make the mistake of thinking this camera will work for home security, think again. It's an indoor camera only. Not for outdoor monitoring.

We had hoped to use the AlfredCam as an inexpensive security camera at our front door. To do that, the camera must be mounted outside the door. This is not possible because AlfredCam must be plugged in to operate. We had thought the USB charging indicated the device has an internal storage battery. It does not.

We had also wanted to use the AlfredCam on two cell phones. It can be done but the instructions for doing so are buried so far that we experienced a great deal of frustration. We were also perplexed by the references to AlfredCam vs. Alfred Camera.

The AlfredCam is the device featured here; you use it with the AlfredCam app installed on a cell phone, and you view the camera feed through your cell phone. The display occupies about 1/3 of the phone screen so the image is quite small, and despite the advertising appeared as a low-resolution picture. If you don't subscribe to the premium version, you will be inundated with advertisements, which is frustrating and distracting. Full high definition without ads is available with a subscription to Alfred Premium.

Alfred Camera is for using your cell phone as a camera through the downloaded AlfredCam app. Very confusing because the instructions for both are intermixed. No hardware is required for the Alfred Camera.

The AlfredCam must connect via a 2.4GHz wireless connection or it will not work properly.

AlfredCam is a reasonably-priced low-end indoor security option. If your home security requires more flexibility, this is not the product for you.
