I bought this back in 2018. I only use it to back up my cable modem and router. It does its job when the power goes out but doesn't last very long any more ... So I decided it was time to breath some life into it.
I changed out the battery from a lead acid 12v 9ah battery to a lifeP04 12v 10ah battery. This should (theoretically) more than double the original capacity. We will see how well it works when the power goes out.

Reliable UPS lasting 5+ years
I've had this unit for over 5 years now. It's been working reliably and been connected to my Synology DS412+ without issues. As others have mentioned it's made by CyberPower. I'm now looking to replace the battery to give the unit more life. To help others such as myself, I've removed the battery and taken a picture of the original battery. The battery is labelled DJW12-9.0(12V9.0AH).

Meets Expectations
Received the unit today and connected it to my NAS server with the provided USB cabled. I configured it via
Truenas to do an orderly shutdown when power is lost. It seems to work as specified. I have not attempted to do any power measurements. My ME Mini server only draws about 7 watts when idle. I have a few other low power <10 watt items attached to the UPS.
I have included images of the Truenas setup and system info returned by the UPS.

Communicates well with QNAP TS-230 NAS file server
I just received this UPS, so I can't comment on battery life. I got the 800VA/450W, 12 Outlets. It uses a 12V 9Ah battery that is very common and inexpensive, so when the original battery dies, it should be easy to find a replacement.
I love that it has so many outlets, 6 with battery backup and 6 with only surge protection. I have many electronics connected, and this avoids using additional power strips.
The main purpose of buying this UPS was to protect my QNAP TS-230 NAS during power outage. This is an entry level two bays file server. I wasn't sure if it would support communication with UPS backup battery. The QNAP manual for this model does not mention anything about connecting to UPS.
I received the UPS and charged it overnight before connecting anything to it. It came with a USB A to B cable. The QNAP TS-230 has 3 USB ports: one is USB 2.0 speed and two are USB 3.0 speed. The USB 3.0 are designed for external drives to expand the capacity of the file server, so I figured I should connect the USB cable from the UPS to the USB 2.0 port on the back of QNAP. I turned the UPS on, waited a few seconds for it to come online and plugged the QNAP to one of the battery backup outlets. Next I turned on the QNAP. It takes about 5 minutes to boot. When I heard the second beep that indicates it's ready, I logged in into the QNAP from my computer. After a few seconds, a window appeared that an external device (CPS ABST800) was detected. I clicked on "View external storage settings" and it brought me to Control Panel>External Device>UPS. Here it showed the UPS manufacturer (CPS), the model (ABST800), the battery capacity and the estimated protection time. On this screen you can configure what the QNAP should do in case of power outage. I set it to turn off the NAS after 3 minutes of power outage.
Next tested the setup: I unplugged the UPS from the wall. It started beeping every few seconds to indicate that it's running on battery. After 3 minutes on battery power, the NAS started an orderly shutdown process. After a few minutes, it shutdown completely. Perfect!
As someone else mentioned, this UPS is manufactured by CyberPower, which is ubiquitous. This is an advantage in my opinion, because more clients are likely to support it than a smaller brand.
For anyone that owns a QNAP NAS and is debating whether this UPS will work with it, it probably will.

Solid Performance and Excellent Value
Reliable UPS for a multi‑device setup — just stay within the watt limit
✔️ Accurate battery readings and runtime estimates
✔️ Handles real‑world home lab / network setups well
✔️ 12 outlets with clear surge vs battery labeling
✔️ Good layout and spacing for multiple plugs
✔️ Build quality comparable to CyberPower units
✔️ Good value for the price
⚠️ Must stay under 450W — will cut out if overloaded
⚠️ Larger and heavier than expected for this class
I’m using this to power two micro PCs, a switch, a router, a Blink sync module, and a water‑leak monitoring hub, and it’s handled everything without issues. One of the micro PCs monitors the UPS status, and the battery readings and runtime estimates have been consistent and reliable.
Battery performance has been solid. Just keep in mind this unit is rated at 450W — if you exceed that, it will cut out, which is expected behavior and not a flaw.
Physically, it’s bigger and heavier than I expected, but the layout makes good use of the space. The outlets are clearly labeled between surge‑only and battery‑backup, and having 12 total outlets is more than enough for most home lab or network setups.
Build quality feels on par with my CyberPower units. In day‑to‑day use, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

Replacement Battery Specifics for 800VA model with Photo
My office condo neighbor has the 800VA model and requested my assistance to determine whether or not the battery was replaceable and, if so, what model. She had spent over 30 minutes searching and could not find the needed information. When she texted me, I searched and the amount of misinformation in the reviews was maddening.
1. The battery is most definitely replaceable. Turn the device over and you'll see arrows imprinted on the bottom cover showing the direction it slides off. It is held in by one small Phillips head screw. Remove the screw, the panel easily slides off exposing the battery.
2. The battery is sealed lead acid (SLA) type and NOT Lithium Ion.
3. The actual brand and model battery used in hers was: Leoch DJW12.9.0 (12 volts, 9.0 Amp Hours, F2 terminals), photo attached.
Hope this comes in handy.

Power management software isn't where it says it is; look here instead.
Just now installing it, and I hope it's better than the product page is. The manual says the power management software is available on the product page, and then the product page says it's available in the "Product guides and documents" section. Unfortunately, whoever wrote the page screwed up. First there is no "Product guides and documents" section; instead it should be "Safety documents". Then, there's no obvious link for the software... The link erroneously labeled "User Guide (PDF)" is actually a link to the software instead. Sheesh!

Pretty good
One Echo Show 8, one Kasa smart bulb (60w replacement) and one Verizon FiOS router killed the battery in about one hour and eight minutes. So, I'm satisfied. The consistent beeping when it's off shore power is annoying but probably helpful if you're not aware of power loss. It beeps nonstop when it's less than 10% power. But I'd say it's pretty good for the price point and one hour is more than enough for what I deal with here.

Caught on fire apparently
It was used for a three in month period each of the past three years without problem. After being away for a month we found it had apparently caught on fire while we were away. The floor was singed where it sat. Fortunately it was on a non-flammable surface with nothing nearby or it could have been a catastrophe! There was nothing else wrong in the house. No breakers or surge protectors had flipped.

Default Settings are not functional +300watts
Default settings "Remaining Runtime" is the projection of time that the current charge percentage will last in minutes. Default is at 30 minutes. SO it kept recalulating that and said o well I guess we need to schedule a shutdown and did just that... So that is the Fix. Set it to 5 mins so it won't schedule a shutdown event because it will never have 30 minutes to shut down... Most it gets is 25mins based on a 100% charged battery. But that right there is the constant check loop that is re-evaluating the time remaining and why it shut everything down last time even at 100% charge. That makes this thing as useless as being plugged straight into the wall because it will shut off instantly if it calculates a 100% charge of having less than a 30 minute Runtime.
So yeah you must download the software from the guide.pdf and tweak the settings manually in order to even use it.
I recommend that you only plug your PC into the Battery and cover every other outlet and don't use them. Plug any displays or devices into a separate surge protector.

Reliable Power Backup for My PS5 and Xbox
Simple and reliable, this uninterruptable power supply has the capacity to keep my Xbox One X or PlayStation 5 running if the circuit breaker trips. The wiring in my apartment does not have a lot of circuits so sometimes the breaker goes and this will prevent the consoles from shutting down when that happens, which is all I want from it really.
Plenty of plugs. Price is right. More power to it!

Easy battery replacement
I've replaced many UPS batteries but this was the easiest. A single screw on the bottom holds the battery lid in place. Remove the battery (DJW 12-9.0). Pull off the 2 clips. Reverse the procedure to replace with new battery. Make sure the red lead is attached to red terminal. Original battery lasted 40 months. Should cost less than $40 to replace.

So Glad I Bought This
This thing works great. I had a power outage during a meeting, and since my cable modem is on one of these, and my workstation is on another, I didn't even have a disruption. I only knew the power went out because the lights turned off and I heard the battery backup click over to the battery operation.
I've had three surges since I bought this device about six months ago, and I've never had a disruption.

You have to mount it upside down
My only complaint about this unit is that while you can hang it on the wall, you have to hang it cord on top, which made no sense to me. It's unlikely that you've got a 115 vac outlet above where you'd want to mount it, so the cord can't hang straight down, robbing you of inches of reach and putting a (minor) strain on the cord. I'd love to hear the reason they did it that way.

Great value for entry level UPS made by CyberPower and works with Synology NAS!
I've only had this for a few days so far, but everything has been working great and I would certainly recommend it for those with the same use cases. First, I live in the city so power outages in my building are usually very quick, but can cause serious havoc for my local network. I've been debating this purchase for quite some time and finally pulled the trigger after a 4am quick power reset had all of my Phillips Hue bulbs turn on at full brightness. To make matters worse, I needed to wait a few minutes as the modem, router and Hue bridge all reset. This UPS should be more than enough to cover me in these isolated situations.
After I received the UPS, it instructs to charge it up for 8 hours before putting it into use. In my experience, trying to turn it on out of the box only resulted in a quick beep but no power light indicator. After letting it charge overnight, it turned right on without an issue. I was able to install the software included in the link on the product page (macOS) and successfully performed a test where the power is cut.
Finally, while installing the software I noticed that it was produced by CyberPower. When I purchased this I assumed it would not work with my Synology NAS, but the software gave me hope. After I plugged in the USB cable from the UPS to the NAS, I was very happy to realize that the NAS picked it right up and allowed me to easily configure graceful power down options! The device information also led me to believe that this UPS is actually manufactured by CyberPower, which is probably why their software works with it and why my NAS was very easily able to interface with it. Keep in mind I purchased the 800VA version and I believe the smallest does not feature a USB data port. Additionally, it seems like the 800VA version is heavily discounted for prime members ($25.05 saved at the time of this writing) so it was only $5 more than the middle option which was not being discounted.
It is worth noting that the 800VA version that I purchased was rated at 8100 seconds by my NAS as the estimated battery time which is about 2.5 hours - sweet!
Also, it is worth mentioning that many other reviews claim it will not turn back on fully after depleting its battery, but I have not tested that and it is not a huge feature for me since the power is not out for that long since I live in the city. From my quick research though, it seems like other entry-level UPS' such as APC does not feature that tech either.

Linux Monitoring Software
I purchased 2 of these for my main Windows PC and a Linux server at home. The CyberPower "PowerPanel® Personal" software works with this and they have a Linux version of it that I have working with this UPS. See Screenshot. Not sure if you can post links in reviews so just go to CyberPower's website and search for "PowerPanel Personal". Hopefully this will be helpful for any Linux users out there.
