Anbernic RG40XX V Retro Handheld Game Console

If you like the gameboy style then just get this one. Can’t beat it.

Great handheld. Exactly what I was looking for.

Make sure it works.

As soon as I opened it and turned it on, the screen was already scrambled. Faulty product or poor care during the delivery process? The world may never know. Awaiting for my product to be replaced and see how long that takes.

The most comprehensive handheld game system I have ever seen!

This little handheld game is amazing! I've been playing it non-stop since I got it, and everyone wants a turn. It's packed with classic games, even obscure ones from old Atari systems. One of my long-forgotten favorites is now a new obsession!

It's incredibly easy to use – just turn it on and choose a game. Navigation is surprisingly fast, though it struggles with demanding titles like GTA. Still, it's perfect for passing time in waiting rooms or during long trips. Plus, the battery lasts forever!

But what really impressed me is the screen quality. It's so sharp and vibrant that I keep trying to use it as a touch screen! If you grew up with classic arcade games, you'll absolutely love this.

I have included a video of my little one playing with the Barney game and just loving it!

A slightly pricey but great All-Rounder

Anbernic currently makes the most compelling retro handhelds, at a great price. The RG40XX might just be their most compelling option yet.

It offers the same chipset as the others in their XX series, but this time with a more modern design, with slimmer bezels, and an RGB joystick!

The joystick, while an analogue input, assists greatly in some systems. N64, PS1 and the like are far more enjoyable with a joystick. If you like to play these systems, the joystick is an absolute must.

If you stick to the older consoles that don’t require a joystick, NES, SNES, etc, I much prefer to travel with the 35XX, as its folding hinge makes it much more compact, however, both are great handhelds.

Battery life on the 40XX is decent. I got about 4-5 hours of gameplay, depends a lot on the game you’re playing.

If you just one one handheld that does all your retro games, the 40XX is a great option, going up all the way to ps1 and PSP. The joystick makes it a great option, it’s nice and portable, it looks amazing with that bright screen and thin bezels. Overall a fantastic, well rounded option from anbernic as usual.

Its cool

I wish it game with less classic games and more Nintendo and GB. The GTA game was really laggy. Hoping it was just low battery. Seems like a very solid console. Excited to get into

Took me back to my past!

I recently picked up the this handheld game console, and it’s a nostalgic! With so many built-in classic games and support for multiple formats, it’s perfect for reliving my favorite retro titles. The 4.0-inch screen offers vibrant visuals, and the tempered glass adds a nice layer of protection against scratches. I love that it has both 5G Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, allowing for smooth online play and easy connectivity to other devices. The battery life keeps me gaming for several hours, which is fantastic for long trips. Plus, the HDMI output lets me enjoy the games on a larger screen, making it a versatile choice for both solo and group play!

I love it!

Best handheld you can buy. I’ve been looking for something like this for a while and finally pulled the trigger on one. Let me tell you besides how easy it is to use the display and feel of it is amazing. This Retro handheld does not feel cheap at all honestly feels super premium. I’m able to play any retro title I can imagine. It also has dual mini sd slots for even more games. You can either load up what comes on it or load your own games. Battery life is great I can play for hours without it dying. This is currently living on my work desk so whenever it gets slow at work I just pick it up and play. It has many features and honestly it really is worth the price. Don’t hesitate to buy

Fun Retro Gaming Console

I absolutely love playing all my favorite retro games on this handheld console. The screen is fantastic, and the selection of games is impressive. It's a great way to relive the nostalgia of classic gaming. D pad, joystick, and buttons all feel great too.

I love it!

I'm impressed

I really liked this portable video game model from Ambernic. Months ago I bought another video game model from Ambernic, also very good, but this RG40xxv is prettier and I was impressed by its capabilities. If you want, you can install another Linux on it with more capacity on the micro SD card. just look at tutorials on the internet on how to do this. thanks.

Coolest Gift ever!

This retro gaming device was a fantastic gift for my nephew who loves video games! It's packed with classic games that he's never played so he can't get bored. The device is easy to use and the controls are responsive, making it perfect for his little hands. Plus, the colorful screen and fun sound effects add to the overall gaming experience. The size make it's so easy to carry with you. He was beyond excited when he opened his gift.

Perfect gaming on the go

I have used this almost daily with the amount of stuff you can do with this gaming device is pretty cool. The option to add your legally purchased games and much more. Like play the media from your legally obtained music. Awesome for emulation
