Angetube 862Pro Streaming Webcam

❎ No Go

Unfortunately, the microphone does not function well. Even speaking directly into it, the audio volume is so muffled that it sounds like you're whispering from another room. If the microphone functioned, or you already have a microphone, then I would recommend the camera. Read below.

Overall recommendation: ❌ Do not buy.

✅ Good: (2 out of 5 stars)

¦ Camera quality is good

¦ Has a remote control

¦ Can toggle camera/mic from remote

¦ Privacy cover

¦ Ring light

⛔ Bad: (0 out of 5)

¦ Microphone Unusable (so low it can't be heard)

¦ Mount is unstable, but this is typical

Not as good as native apple camera on laptop

This might be okay if you don't already have a laptop with a camera, but my native macbook camera far exceeds the quality of this one. Image: Macbook Left, new camera Right

Amazing

Expensive Light

Bought this for work right before leaving the country. The light comes on but the camera does not work. It does not even show up in device manager when plunged in. I used several different USB ports and nothing. It is just a expensive circle light. That I won't be able to return before the one month deadline.

Also, the remote does nothing at all. I don't know if I got sent a known dud by mistake but this is extremely disappointing.

Buying for the light? Do it!

This is cute little camera is perfect for meetings. The zoom feature helps hide my messy desk. I was hoping that the light ring would help balance out the back light that comes from my office window, but it barely lights up. It has a warm and a cool setting but neither makes a difference. The light is on and set to maximum brightness in both images. The remote is convenient and easy to operate. I'm just sad about the light being useless if I'm not sitting in a room at night with the lights off.

EDIT: The light not working is due to user error. (I'm the problem.) Please buy this light. It works great.

Best video for 32% less than my last one!

My very expensive webcam that I purchased last year just quit working suddenly the other day. I purchased this one because it was within my current price range and came with an adjustable ring light and remote. These are important to me as my eyes are sensitive to light but my home office is rather dark. Therefore, light is essential but traditional ring lights often are too bright and harsh.

This camera's light has plenty if settings first me to find one where I am not washed out and looking like a phantom and my eyes are not strained ten minutes into the first meeting of the day.

I did have to contact support to find out how to town on the light. It seems I didn't try turning it on hard enough. It doesn't take much, but one of my hands is healing from surgery so it was awkward prior to mounting it.

Their support team went above and beyond as I was not understanding what he was saying (I was overly tired and my dyslexia was kicking up a serious fit). However, Dong was very patient and was able to explain it to me easily even with my sleep deprived brain. Lol

I would highly recommend this camera for its clarity of picture, functionality, and ease of use (once I figured out my problwm lol). I would also recommend the company for their fast responsiveness, extreme patience, and knowledgeability.

Buy this not only for the camera, but also for the support

I don't have a desk. I work out of a recliner. There is not space for a fancy setup, nor space for an attractive display behind me, so I thought the AngeTube zoomable webcam would work for me. Especially the built-in ring light behind me. So I bought it. Initially, disappointment: nothing worked. Enter Dong, from AngeTube support. The man is a bulldog. He would not let it go. He worked on the issue way above and beyond, until we (not unexpectedly) detected dumbassery on my part: the privacy slide is internal and operated by a small slide. We fixed that. Next was permissions to use the camera on my Mac OS. Kudos to Dong, who saved the day, and what a **great** webcam and excellent software.

Camera came in broken

got the camera, connected it, completely glitched and bugging out. looks amazing but sucks that i got one completely broken

lil camera = massive upgrade

The video does not do it justice. The camera on my MacBook Air makes my video so dark and grainy; this lil camera is a massive upgrade in a world that's now built around zoom calls! Furthermore, the ring light works surprisingly well for how compact it is. Highly recommended.

Dead After 15 Months but Good While it Lasted

I used this webcam about once a week for 15 months. It failed in the middle of a Zoom call. Audio still worked but video failed. Tried reseating the cable and used the Windows camera setup app and it was still broken. Ha, you better get the 3-year protection plan on this one!

Does NOT zoom w newer MacBooks - cheap quality for price

This webcam does NOT zoom in and out on any newer MacBooks, not even on 720 dpi. Even apple couldn’t offer help. All language on screen is written backwards on recorded video. So learn to read upside down.

Great clear visual Web camera with option lighting

Great compact camera with easy to mount onto monitor or laptop. Has clear picture, great remote control features at a fantastic price.

Great Tech Support should you have any questions with prompt response.

Clear Video

Very convenient, I can bring it anywhere and works with different computer type and have a connector. Very clear video. 10/10

Ease of use ....

It was worth it to pay a little more and have a better HD video, then to spend less and get a crappie video. Worth the money.

Nice Webcam

Very good Webcam for the price and very easy to setup and use.

Great plug n play webcam, one small note.

I like the video quality as well as the built in light which has helped to reduce all the adjusting that used to take place with my laptop camera.

My note and my pics echo what’s been said on other comments. Real hard to see when that cover is in place. Pro-tip, contrasting colors are your friend especially when the eye icon in question is so tiny to begin with.

Camera was fine but only lasted 5 months

The zoom function was great and the built-in ring light worked fine as well. But after just 5 months of use, the camera died on me. I wasn't expecting to be getting the best camera available, but I didn't expect to replace it less than a year after purchasing it

GREAT camera for the price

The lighting is a little high on the video, you can adjust that.

Prior to: I bought a cheapo $30 camera that was supposedly a bestseller and number one product. But it was trash. I returned it and ordered this one and I could not be happier with the simplicity and overall picture. Definitely makes you look more professional.

Great!

The quality and speed is amazing. I stream live and it keeps up perfectly. 10/10

Top-of-the class, light weight live stream video camera

This is a great product! The top-of-the-class webcam is light and easily mountable on thin devices like iPad, and thicker ones such as the TV monitor I often use. Auto-focus and high-precision glass are a level above many other options. The built-in microphone provides solid sound quality. I highly recommend this product to anyone wishes for a versatile webcam!

Portable Camera with remote for Zoom and Brightness Control

Nifty little camera with a remote for quick access to controls needed for video conference such as focus and brightness. Another great

product from Angetube. I've used their previous camera over the past 2 years with no issues. This one takes it another notch with clear

picture, zoom and dimming light features. Totally worth the price!
