I now have each of the U series Anpviz models: 5MP, 6MP, and 8MP. For SOME reason, this one is the only one that CAN'T go up to 8192kbps on the main stream (6144kbps max). Strangely still, you have to go down to 1920x1920 or 2560x1440 to unlock 30fps; in the lesser 5MP model, you can do 2560x1440 at 30fps as well (but up to 8192kbps).
Also, whereas the 5MPs that came with my NVR have intrusion detection recognized. This and the 8MP models do not. I am not sure what's up with that as in the camera config itself, they seem to support such things. However, the NVR option for processing is still disabled for an unknown reason. Notably, the webUI for the 6MP and 8MP are completely different than the 5MP (possibly newer? though doesn't seem like an improvement).
I'm all but convinced these are all the same camera hardware on the inside, just with arbitrary firmware tweaks to limit performance.
That said, if you can get a 5MP version for more than $5 cheaper, probably do it. The quality difference is indiscernible.

Great PoE IP camera!!!
This camera has a great picture with very bright LED lights. The image quality is superb. I am very impressed with the 3k image quality both at day and night. The setup was fairly simple with my home lab setup. Anpviz also has great software that makes setup very simple as well. It allows you to directly connect the camera to your LAN via ethernet.
One of the best features of this camera is its ability to transcode in H.265. It’s a newer and more performant compression standard than H.264. It allows you to store more recordings in smaller files and allows for higher quality playback using lower bitrates. This is very good for those that plan to view their CCTV remotely over cellular data.
I am very happy with this camera and plan to purchase many more.

Great quality and an amazing value NDAA-compliant POE camera from Anpviz
This 6MP POE IP security camera from Anpviz is NDAA compliant and has a resolution of 3072x2048 at 25 FPS. The build quality is excellent - it's made almost entirely of metal - and it's weather sealed for use outdoors or inside. It has dual light color night vision and its 2.8mm lens has a 110 degree field of view.
This is an incredible value for the price (currently $40.99). NDAA compliant cameras are usually much more expensive. We have over 24 different Anpviz U-series cameras all over our business, inside and out, and have been very happy with them. They are really easy to setup and configure, and have been very reliable in the two years we've been using them.
They work with just about any NVR - Blue Iris, Frigate, iSpy, etc - and the web interface is intuitive and easy to use. I log in and change the default password, configure date and time server, on screen display, and set a static IP address and then add it to Blue Iris. Blue Iris auto-detects all the configuration details every time.
I'm very happy with this 6 MP POE IP camera from Anpviz. If you're looking for an inexpensive NDAA-compliant POE camera, then you should definitely consider this and other U-series cameras from Anpviz.

Even better picture quality than my screenshots show.
The pictures I have attached are about two times zoom and cropped from the full size of the image but it gives you a good idea of what the night vision looks like in color with low lighting and then what it looks like when the Leds kick on. Super impressed with it overall motion detection works great, picture quality is better than what is shown again for the reason of cropping in my case, and I feel like this thing should be closer to the $100 price point. So really happy with cost as well. RTSP and ONVIF compatible so in my case I'm using it with blue iris and it works just right out of the box.

Great for my DIY security camera project
I’m using this camera for a DIY security setup, and it’s working out really well. The image quality is clear, especially during the day, and the color night vision is solid. The metal build feels sturdy, and setup through PoE was straightforward. The AI detection for people and vehicles adds good functionality. Perfect for my custom security project.

Just what I needed
I already have a PoE switch and wanted to add an additional security IP camera to my security system. If you only purchase this IP camera, you'll need to order a PoE injector or a PoE switch and have a registered account. Once you have all the hardware wired and connected, you just need to log in and modify the camera's IP address. After setting up the camera, you can access it through a web browser. In my case, I'm using an old iMac 27 via the Safari browser.
The kit comes with everything you need, including a template for screw positions and screws. It also includes a weatherproof lid to secure the cables if the camera is installed outdoors. The camera housing is made of a non-metal material; I tried using a magnet on it, but it doesn't stick. Overall, I am very impressed with the camera's build and features.

Size is important
I like that this camera is not bulky like others, it's small to fit unnoticed in most places, and now availble in black. 6mp image quality you can digital zoom on details without actual mechanical zoom. The interface has many

Wow! Great image, easy set-up, Versatile uses
I did not have high expectations based on the price vs the description. I am impressed. I ordered this as an add-on to my NVR system. I have a newer system that is primarily traditional CCTV. I have commercial grade cameras around the house and used to running BNC cables with direct power. As part of a previous IT job I installed security cameras and was used to both analog and IP cameras. I found this to be on the quality of higher cost commercial cameras. It was very easy to add to my network using the discovery tool. I purchased a PoE injector for this camera which worked perfectly. I was impressed with connecting it to my NVR. After setting the IP address, I opened the admin panel on my NVR and the camera was listed there ready to connect. The image was amazingly clear compared to my analog cameras. Overall setup was less than half an hour never having seen the camera prior. I like the construction of the camera as well. The base is metal and it has good adjustments. I like the included IR which works very well. The camera decides on the white LED vs the IR. I do wish it could be locked to IR, that may be possible but I have not found a setting. There is also the option to connect a power source directly instead of the PoE. I would recommend a power injector. I ended up buying a PoE mini switch because I am going to be purchasing more of these to increase the quality of my security recordings.

Solid Build, Sharp Image: A Smart Surveillance Upgrade
This camera feels like a solid, well-built PTZ unit. I connected it to my very off-brand NVR, and it was detected instantly. The image quality is crystal clear. The only feature I couldn’t get working was the PTZ controls, but I suspect that’s more of an NVR compatibility issue than a fault with the camera itself.
It’s important to note that this is not one of those wireless cameras you often see. It requires a DVR/NVR or a PoE (Power over Ethernet) port to operate, and the recording device must support the ONVIF protocol. If it does, this camera should be plug-and-play with little to no setup required.
Overall, it’s a high-quality camera at a very competitive price—a great addition to my surveillance system.

Great compatibility, easy setup and use
Setup was very simple, out of the box and a quick change of the username/password to a non-default secure one. The Anpviz website has firmware updates, make sure you check for the latest as an update was available.
As far as system compatibility, the device was recognized as a 6mp ONVIF device in both the Unifi Protect and Synology Surveillance Station NVR’s. To have the camera reflect the correct time, changing the NTP server to an NIST source was helpful. Overall, great value for the money!

Great Camera, But Don’t Expect to Just Plug It In
The camera itself is solid clear video, good night vision, and the AI detection actually works. The metal build feels tough too. But heads up: it doesn’t come with a regular power plug. You can’t just stick it in the wall and go. You’ll need a PoE injector or a PoE NVR to get it running. Once you have that extra piece, it works great and connects easily with ONVIF systems. Just wish they made that clearer upfront.

Great camera.
I have a few Anpviz cameras in my setup. Installation is a breeze. Plug in an Ethernet cable to a PoE port on your switch and adopt it into your client of choice. I use UniFi and these work just like OEM. Picture quality is well beyond its price point. Great value.

When You Need to Know. Video!
We live out in the countryside. We’re in the process of upgrading our audio/video and security system. You well might wonder why. We have very little crime. Most of us have 10 - 15 acres or more, and many hunt or engage in regular firearms training. We’re neighbors, and know each other’s vehicles.
The cameras allow us to better manage our property, watching a wide variety of wildlife, children, using ponds, creeks and encountering wildlife, possibly rabid. Detail is demanded to make responsible, accurate, and timely decisions.
This outdoor dome camera is excellent for the job. Excellent color, Great (6 MP) resolution for subject ID, Two way audio (Deer don’t appreciate my comments), all weather, 24/7 performance.
Installation is easy using an active switcher, NVR (with, or without WiFi) or combination of the two. POE means one Cat. 5 or higher cable can carry Power, Audio, Video between them. Saves a lot of installation time, labor, and money. Mix static and PTZ cameras for optimal coverage. I used solar power for remote sites. This is a great camera, Great Performance, Great Price.

I wasn't happy with it, then I remembered the price....
First of all, the auto white balance is really bad on this camera. The web based dashboard doesn't work properly. You have to tinker with it, reload constantly, and eventually you might get a picture you can deal with. Those are my main complaints.
However... it connected very easily to my Unifi system, video loads much faster than any of my other aftermarket cameras. I haven't had a single drop out yet. Turn off auto white balance, tune it a little bit and the picture is fine. I'm not sure I'd considered it 6k quality however. The dashboard has a few more options than other IP based cameras, however it's pretty much the same standard system as every other camera on the market.
Night time quality is acceptable, the IR light is a bit too bright for here however. Once the humidity kicked in, the IR lit up every little pocket of moisture in the air, and I was unable to see more than a couple inches. The video is interlaced as well, so it gets extremely grainy when this happens.
I can complain about it all day, but this is a 30 dollar plug and play camera that works with Unifi. It works. It's cheap. I digress...
