Great Features and Quality

I use cameras not just for security, but for recording wildlife. Where I live we have everything from Bald Eagles to Aligators and Coyotes. I wanted something I could use by our lake without having to run power. Not only are these insanely easy to setup, they take great video and have a great set of features that you can expand on by paying a subscription fee. It’s cloudy out and I’ve been messing with the cameras for over an hour easily, and I’ve only used %10 of the battery on one unit and %4 on the other. I’m really looking forward to see what shows up at night!

I really like the cameras. Only downfall, carpenter ants got to my highest mounted camera and created a nest inside. The camera is toast sadly. Won’t charge and I imagine they chewed on everything inside.

Very easy to install and very effective and efficient

Prior to acquiring this camera system, I experienced consistent connectivity issues with a competitor’s product. Subsequently, I invested in six units of this camera, strategically deploying them across my property to monitor client vehicles. I am pleased to report that I have not encountered any signal loss since installation. A notable advantage of this system is the ability to utilize a 64GB SD card for video storage, eliminating the need for cloud subscription services. Given its exceptional reliability and cost-effective storage solution, I would unequivocally recommend and repurchase this product.”

Great security camera at a great price!

This security camera is awesome at a great price . This is the 5th one I have purchased. We also have the door bell security camera. Really easy to install and set up. They have two way talking that works good. They have a spotlight that’s bright and all kinds of security alerts. They have great daytime color picture, great night vision ( but turn on the spotlight and you will get color pictures at night.) I can’t say enough about this security camera. AOSU has a great customer service team and will work to help you in anyway. I highly recommend them for home security or business. I will definitely be purchasing more of these cameras in the near future. Thank again AOSU for a great security camera.

Works good.

Have 10 of these cameras. Watching over the calving pen. We have a WiFi booster. With that being said the farthest camera is about 600 feet away from booster. It has about 90 percent signal strength. One camera is inside an insulated building. It has good signal. When you first place the camera it is laggy to move. Seems to get better over time. Very happy with the camera. I just wish it was clearer when trying to zoom. Gets very pixelated.

2.4 Wireless, kind of a security flaw.

No latching mechanism for camera to mount. This is my second pair. Typical sketchy wireless intermittent 2.5 Ghz feed.

Squirrels damaged my last two cameras by knocking them off tree. My wired cameras caught them in the act. It was hilarious watching them play. I wasn't mad as I love animals. Aosu has made me angry. Not even a reply from them about the attachment. Ay least a pin or something...now they probably won't come off in the wind, but I have video evidence of the squirrel knocking it off.. so they have dangerous animal detection but not squirrel prevention knock down protection 😄🤣😂

Aosu just make a better latch system for mount to camera for this scenario. I'm trying to help.

Video is good. Not enough difference between 2k and 3k. Would make a great front door camera with two way audio and illumination/siren feature.

Great customer service

Was working really well and we relied on one of the cameras to monitor our dogs in their run. Easy to follow installation instructions. The App is easy to use and also works well with our echo show. Then we started getting a beeping from the camera. Ann with Customer support patiently walked me through trouble shooting, noted the vertical function wasn’t working, she got authorization to send a warranty replacement. Received the replacement in a few days. Easy reinstallation and has been working well for several days now. Would buy again, especially with the great customer service.

Great product with ever better customer service.

I am the proud owner of a few Aosu solar wi-fi cameras (SolarCam D1 SE). My second camera had a minor technical issue, but the company efficiently diagnosed and quickly replaced the camera with a new one. Fantastic customer service. I had the pleasure of working with with a representative named Purple who did a great job resolving my issue.

My cameras charge efficiently, are very easy to use. The app is easy and fun. After only a week of owning this camera, I was able to capture a Bobcat jumping onto my roof (see video). I highly recommend this camera and look forward to purchasing more.

Great motion tracking camera in locations with no power and good sunshine.

This solar power camera was perfect for my 3-camera setup, because there was no power source near it. However, it is at the back of our patio, and there is excellent sunshine. I have had it in place for over a month, and even in the morning the battery is showing 100% charge. I have it set to not record full time, though, so that helps. It only records when motion is detected.

Like all Aosu cameras I have tried, this camera tracks motion and shines bright LED lights on the area. This allows it to have a very clear image without shrinking things down with a fisheye type lens. Night vision is very good, but when the lights come on the image is super clear and bright.

Installation is super easy. Connects to our home wifi very reliably.

Only caveat is that the power saving makes it a little slow to detect things, maybe 10 seconds or so. Also, I use the app an Android tablet to show the images inside, and because the camera is not on all the time it takes a few seconds to wake it up if I want to look at the back yard. My other cameras are powered full time, so I leave them on all the time so I can see the images of people approaching.

The Aosu App works very well on Apple phones or iPads, and on Android phones. For Android tablets it is difficult to get them work! I bought 3 tablets before I found one that works - a Lenovo Tab11, and that makes an EXCELLENT way to display up to 4 cameras simultaneously. You can then tap on one camera, enlarge it, and talk through the camera to whoever is there! Really excellent.

Reviews Don't Lie!

We are really impressed with this AOSU system.

We purchased three of the solar 360* cameras and the doorbell camera. We are both seniors and probably took a bit longer than most. Easy to understand, easy to install and the price was very reasonable for the type of quality.

Brilliant, clear photos/video.

Our youngest son came home after dark, but the video is so clear, you wouldn't know it wasn't a daytime shot.

We love that the cameras have a 360* rotation and the ease and simplicity of solar. No more charging batteries.

And since we purchased the doorbell feature we can talk to delivery person or solicitor without opening the door or being home.

Great camera, great customer service

These cameras have outperformed anything I've had in the past. Setup can be a little tricky however customer support is right there and replies within minutes. I would highly recommend these cameras to anybody. I recently had some problems with the app, contacted customer support and they told me they would work on it and within an hour or so the app was working properly again. Others that I have had, if you could even get customer support, the only thing they would handle was the product itself. The video shows just how quickly the camera reacts. By the time I got out the door and turned to the camera it had already turned towards me

Perfect outdoor camera for home security

I’ve been using the AOSU outdoor solar cam primarily to monitor my dogs when they’re outside, and I have to say—it’s exceeded all my expectations. From the start, the setup was straightforward, and once it was up and running, I immediately noticed how clear the images and videos are. Whether it’s during the day or at night, the picture quality is sharp, and I can easily see everything happening in real-time without any lag or blurriness. It really gives me peace of mind knowing I can check in on my dogs at any moment and get a crystal-clear view.

One of my absolute favorite features is the camera’s ability to automatically track movement. If a person walks by, the camera smoothly follows them, capturing everything. Easy installation and set up. Great features.

As with other AOSU products I own, this camera and solar panel are super easy to install and set up. The external solar panel makes it very easy to mount the camera anywhere, even in the shade. The cable is long enough to find a good panel location for charging. Awesome features and great camera resolution. Tracking works really well! I’m liking forward to testing out some other features and fine tuning its settings to my needs. Lot of options to customize. Great value!

Solar security camera

First i want to say that this camera works as advertised. The camera is easily installed and connected with no problems to my wi-fi. Images are clear and crisp, tracking is a little slow but works ok. You are given the option to use the cloud for video recording or use of a local record option using micro sd card that you monitor yourself. That being said i purchased camera in June 2024. Jan of 2025 camera loss connectivity and stopped working i contacted Aosu customer support and they walked me through some steps to try and fix the issue. They were easy to communicate with upon determining the camera would not respond , they informed me they would mail me a replacement which they did and i received it a couple of days later, i installed the new one and it works fine. Thanks to customer support for their quick response and ease of communication.

Awesome Product

Just finished installing the SolarCam D1 SE. What a great addition to my existing Aosu security camera system. The setup is very smooth and easy, Aosu app identifies the camera quickly and joining the wi-fi network is also effortless. I use a wi-fi mesh network and the camera is located about 25 to 30 feet from one of my nodes and the wi-fi signal strength is at 100% which is the best I've seen yet and allows for excellent operation. Was able to neatly tuck the cable for the solar panel into the channel for the soffit panels. The UHD video is great and very clear. Tried to include in photos. The PTZ is a must with a great range of motion and ability to track also, with many other parameters to individualize your set up in the settings. I have owned several security cam systems through the years and Aosu so far is the best I've seen for the price! As previously stated, a great addition to my existing set up of the four solar cameras with home base and a doorbell cam and also two indoor cameras. Definitely would recommend this product to anyone considering a security camera system for the price and the quality it can't be beat.

Solar Outdoor Wireless PTZ Camera with auto tracking and no monthly fees.

Wireless solar cameras are a revolution in consumer cameras. Even if you like a wired system, there are places in a property that are not cost efficient to wire, whether you use 120V or ethernet power. Get a solar camera and place it in that angle that can complement your systems. Or just make a system out of these cameras.

This is a PTZ camera driven by AI. PTZ stands for pan (horizontal movements) , tilt (vertical movements) and zoom. The AI system acquires visual matches and follows them as they move around the property, keeping them on target. Matches can be specified in the app. Since this is based on an AI model, you can expect that the tracking and detection to improve over time. AI is still a new field where improvements happen at an exhilarating pace. Furthermore, the two way intercom allows for sound alerts and two way communications.

It has been several months since I purchased these cameras and set them up. Easy setup I've caught multiple trespassers and some thieves. Tech support is second to none I'm in the IT industry and this is the best tech support I've had for years maybe ever!

It has been several months since I purchased four sets of these cameras. The technical support is still Stellar some of the best in the industry. This is a video of some thieves making off with some stuff off my property. This is excellent solution and one of the most affordable on the market. Do not hesitate just buy it you will love it!

This is an excellent solution for on the Fly installations. I ran Google Fiber to my remote location and put up 8 cameras. I had to turn them down if the blade of grass moved I was aware of it! Very good product just keep your firmware updated. Also learn the smart security settings for ease of use.

The BEST Cameras I Have Used

I've been an Arlo fan since they were released and been pleased with their performance and the app. I've helped a neighbor setup his Ring system with numerous headaches and swore I'd never use them. They replaced the Ring with the recommendation of a relative to the AOSU cameras. WOW!!! What a difference in both performance, app options, and functionality. When I saw their cameras operating I immediately went and bought my own. The neighbor purchased with DL cameras but I went with the D1 SE 3K cameras and Ultra doorbell. I replaced all of my Arlo's with AOSU 3K's. A HUGE improvement!!

I mounted mine and theirs using the Holicfun Camera Gutter Mount for Eufy Security SoloCam S340 and Eufy 4G LTE Cam S330, which works perfect and eliminates drilling into my home. On my cameras I had to also use the Holicfun Gutter Mount for Security Camera Solar Panels, Universally Compatible with Ring, Eufy, Arlo, Wyze, Reolink and Other Solar Panels - White. A perfect fit and allows adjustment to get maximum sun.

I love the app and it's options. The only con I have discovered on the app is the ability to wake up all cameras with one press vice individually. I put my SE cameras to sleep during the day since I'm home and have them scheduled to wake up in the evening until 6am. If AOSU would give the app the ability to sleep and wake all cameras with one go I'd be happy!

Bottom line, ditch your other systems and use the AOSU camera's. I have 7 SE's and the doorbell and really enjoy them!

Sharp view, but

This camera is easy to set up and the functions are simple, however in reading the reviews I frequently see references to zoom capability.

This camera does not zoom. It has, what is commonly called digital zoom. In other words you can expand image size on your viewing screen, but the image will be pixilated.

I have only walked the camera to the desired mounting locations. I purchased one to determine wifi range, and I am amazed. It will reach my modem at 150 feet, through one exterior wall. Reception may be enhanced by the TMobile 5g modem as connectivity is good on all devices associated with this unit.

As to robust design, here again I take minor exception with some reviews. It is plastic. I have far more robust, metal shell, cameras in other applications.

This camera is compact, appears to be reasonably durable, and has good connectivity.

The images, at primary focus, are excellent.

I may make addendum to this review after the camera has been in service for a period of time. Time is needed to evaluate the solar charging element. I charged the camera with a USB power supply for the purpose of testing.

The Perfect Solar Security Cam!!

Installed the camera for our front yard, it looks really good and classy, I placed the solar panel at the side of our house since the cable was long enough so you can place the solar panel where it will receive the most sunlight.

Camera quality is really good and clear, it has a great detection and tracking capabilities, what’s more is in the night it will turn its light on while following the persons movement, which is really great to make someone know they are being recorded.

The app is easy to use, you can use the app to manually control the camera in any direction, and to make a 2-way conversation.

Overall happy with this purchase, for the price it is really worth it, this is the real deal!!!

AOSU SolarCam D1 SE is hands down one of the Best

I ordered this 360 PTZ solar camera and let me tell you it is one of the best in the market. I am very happy with my purchase.

I received the package and unpacked the contents and boy the items are just fantastic. Camera is well built and study. It comes with a charging wire to pre-charge before installing so the battery is 100% so the solar panel doesn’t have to play catch up. So charge the camera before hand. While the camera was charging I went ahead and turned it on and installed the device to the AOSU app which is fairly easy after registering an account. I link the camera and now I could see the battery percentage while it charged.

I played with the pan, tilt and zoom while it was charging and the picture quality is amazing. The connection is very strong at 100% on 2.4G wifi. It also helps that I connected the camera to the mesh wifi box that will be closest to the camera once it’s mounted. Be sure to install a micro sd card in order to record the events. I installed a 32G which is plenty of space. Especially since the camera will loop the recording and overwrite older material. After installing the camera at its location the wifi connection is still at 90% and this is in the alley which is a good 50feet from the closest mesh wifi.I’m impressed with connectivity of these cameras.

The mounting was very easy, three screws for the camera mounting bracket and three screws for the solar panel mount. The package included two stickers to guide the pilot holes to drill to make the mounting easy. Once the mounts were secured then the camera just snaps onto the mount and solar panel threads onto its mount .very easy, just make sure to have solar panel be able to absorb the most sunlight throughout the daytime.

Once the camera was mounted I tested the quality of the camera’s performance and it has a very clear picture. Pan, tilt, and zoom are excellent on this camera. I tested the motion detection and it would follow my every move. The night vision is awesome you’re able to choose black & white or color night vision and both are outstanding.

Overall the value for the money is great and the AOSU Solar Cam D1 SE is one of the best in the market hands down. I will keep purchasing AOSU products as they are just fantastic at a great price!

Love it! Update - used to love them

UPDATE: Do not purchase these cameras, unless you want them to work only when they want too. You have to reset your intrusion/detection zone everyday. And even then, you may or may not get notified for your area to your phone. Yes, I've talked to support through the app and although they seem helpful they're not. It doesn't matter the settings whether it's custom or smart. You won't receive correct notifications either way. I used too in the beginning. And even placed one in my backyard. Even pay for the cloud for both devices and Goodluck with that. Not only do you not get notifications, if you happen to receive one and go to look at it.... nothing saves for you to view. I find these cameras now a waste of money and hope this helps some of you.

What I love about these is the picture quality. It is crystal clear even at night. Had no problems connecting to my wifi at all. I love the fact that it automatically follows a vehicle or person on its own. Customer service is there to help, I used the chat. I love the voice alarm and the fact that you can change your voice. Love the alarms.

My dislikes, for some reason in the beginning after I would go to sleep in the evening... I would have to wake up and reset my detection zone every morning for it would be outside of the perimeters I set.

If a car pulled up fast in my driveway it wouldn't detect it. At some points even with the detection zone set, it wouldn't always notify me until someone was right up on it, and sometime wouldn't record them coming to my door/ follow them.

It's a trial and error my first security cameras, overall they have done great justice 😊 for what I need.

Value for money I would say it's not too bad, could be better in my opinion. I like the fact that I was able to but 2 for a reasonable price

They are awesome!

These cameras are awesome! I really mean that. They are crystal clear, you can hear everything and see everything. I got the 360 degree 3 pk. with the solar panels that were not attached. We put the side door camera on the side back corner and as you see in the picture it catches my side door perfectly but also tracks the person around the back of the house and sees most of the back yard. We have a porch that is kind of between two of the walls up under the house roof so we put the back camera on the corner of the entrance to the porch and the outer wall and that camera can see left to right of the back of the house but also catch whatever the person is doing on the back porch. We have not put up the front porch camera yet but I know it’s going to work well because it is sitting on our kitchen counter and is catching everything. Lol, Also, I will say customer service is wonderful although we didn’t really need to use them, they have reached out to us several times just to make sure all was going well and you don’t find customer service like this anymore today. These cameras are wonderful and if I ever need anymore, I will always come back to this brand as long as they’re still selling them.

Complete home security camera and outstanding customer service

This is the 3rd time that I replaced the security camera. I initially purchased a basic set (2 cameras with one that is wired & the other one with solar powered). Wiring was too cumbersome (need to drill plug through the wall) so I decided to replace with only solar powered security cameras. I replaced them with IGeek security cameras. They had better performance and good support. However I was not able to get immediate alert notifications through my iPhone/ipad and also lacked motion tracking capability and so-so camera resolution. Then I found this brand from Aosu which had much more capabilities and performance so I purchased a pair (one in front and one in backyard). I also watched a review video from YouTube.

What I like the most:

- high quality and resolution 3K/5MP camera

- solar powered/rechargeable battery

- AI smart detection (humans, pets, vehicles) and auto tracking motions/passing/still and alerts with recorded voice commands

- panoramic view that allows you to focus on key areas easily

- easily set up intrusion areas so that it’ll only trigger alerts to mitigate false alarm

I just installed them for a couple of days but I’m very satisfied with the performance, quality, and functionality of both the hardware and firmware. But best of all, it’s the best value that you can buy.

I recently ran into a problem with one of the security camera with loosing battery power on the solar panel. I contacted Aosu support desk and explained the problem. The support desk was very helpful, responsive, and diligently working to resolve the issue. I initial thought that the product was defective and will have to be replaced. Luckily, I was able to eventually get the power restored and continue to charge on the solar charge. Aosu definitely has great customer service to warrant their products.

Great cameras!

Easy installation. Synced up right away with no issues. My WiFi signal is not the best where I placed them but they have all worked flawlessly . Night light illumination is fairly short range but can see a respectable distance with light off. Use cams on the far corners of my barn and two inside my pens to keep watch on my cows. These cams give me an excellent view to track my new calves and check up on my show steers. The zoom is fair but not overly impressive. Two are exposed to the elements and the other two on the edge of covered part. Solar panel comes with about a 10’ cord so it gives you some flexibility as to placement. Panels keep batteries charged at 100%. The follow function is awesome. Automatically follows detected motion. I opted for the micro SD card and motion is recorded there. If I take a video or snapshot those are sent to my phones photo gallery. Customer service is outstanding. I had some minor issues with one unit but Julie answered all of my questions promptly and stood by her product. Outstanding value for money compared to other cameras I’ve had over the years. I would highly recommend these cameras.
