I love these cameras! Customer support is top notch! I had a camera go out and a replacement was mailed to me with very little hassle within the week. These cameras watch over our precious horse, ducks and chickens. And capture lots of wildlife sunsets and sunrises for our viewing pleasure.

Installation was fairly easy and the cameras are great. The clarity & night vision are both very good (see picture). Wifi connectivity was easy and has worked considerably well with no interruptions. We have been using them for 2 weeks. I did notice that one camera is staying at 37% but I haven’t reached out to the manufacturer yet. Adjustability for cars versus people works really well and is simple to use.

I purchased this system expecting a reliable home security solution, but my experience has been extremely frustrating.
The original base worked for only a short period of time and then suddenly stopped connecting to the app. The blue light kept blinking continuously and the system became unusable. I completed all the troubleshooting requested, including resets, restarts, reinstalling the system, and reconnecting everything, but nothing solved the problem.
I contacted AOSU support multiple times. Most of the responses felt automated and repetitive instead of actually addressing the defective base. After a long process, they finally sent me a replacement base.
Unfortunately, the replacement base arrived and immediately had the same problem. It will not complete the connection with the app and the blue light keeps blinking continuously. I went through the entire setup process again, even removing my cameras from the previous system, and now I have lost access to the recordings I previously had.
The app itself is working because I already have an AOSU doorbell that has been working normally for years. The problem is specifically with these bases.
What concerned me even more is that the replacement unit did not appear to be a brand-new sealed system. I have no way to confirm its history, but considering that it immediately presented the same failure, I seriously question whether replacement units are being properly inspected and tested before being sent to customers.
I have also found multiple complaints in AOSU’s own community from customers reporting very similar problems with the base going offline, continuously blinking, timing out, or not being recognized by the app. The number of similar complaints appears to be growing.
I attempted to join the AOSU community to report my experience, but my participation was not accepted, which was also very disappointing.
This is an expensive security system. Customers should not have to spend days troubleshooting defective equipment, receive another base with the same issue, and then struggle to get a clear answer from support.
At this point, I no longer want another replacement. I want to return the entire system and receive a full refund.
I would not recommend this system based on my experience with the base and the lack of effective customer support.

i was worried I wouldn't have enough sun to support solar cameras, but tried anyway. The cameras were extremely easy to mount and pair, and the battery has been great at our cabin, despite all the trees blocking sunlight.

My sons bought this same item and snuck away and installed them around my country cabin in the "Piney Woods" of East Texas as a 70th birthday gift. I liked then so much I purchased a second set for my home here in Galveston County. Installation was simple and quick, and with the integrated solar panels there is no wiring to be done. As the old commercial used to say "It's so easy a cave man can do it"! It's pretty much a Plug-n-Play setup. They sport night vision, 2-way audio and white light on demand. Here's a shot from my carport cam. I didn't even know we had hummingbirds!

Great camera and very easy to use
I’m really impressed with this AOSU camera. The picture quality is clear and sharp, and the night vision works very well. Setup was straightforward and the app is easy to navigate.
I especially like the motion detection and the fact that I can check the camera remotely from my phone. The camera feels well made and works reliably.
For the price, I think it offers excellent value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good home security camera.

After a year of looking for the right security setup, I reviewed these for a few hours, did alot of research of the reviews and decided to try this system. I do not regret that decision.

Setup is just super easy. plug in base to modem, turn on camera. open app and view camera. the system tells you best places to setup your cameras. plug in some information for camera names, add friends photos to AI if you want and you are all set.

AI Identity is a real pleasurable feature. I know who's their instantly.
Camera Quality is very good. Despite being plastic shelled, these cameras are well built.

These run on the internet so you can see in the app, but they are also STANDALONE units that can be placed anywhere. Each camera can have it's own storage and with solar, they will run without worry. This gives even more value to the 8 units if you want to watch your farm or 2 separate areas.
Power reserve on these cameras are insane! I fully charged one, kept it inside for 2 weeks and battery went down about 18%. No cord charging, no sunlight and moderate use through the app. The outside cameras, set them up after the first full charge and don't worry about them again. Solar keeps them constant, even when we had 2-3 days of storms and overcast. This is extra Value!
The costs! Their is no monthly fees. You do NOT have to buy subscriptions to get the full package benifits they give you with this purchase. I hesitated because ALL cameras needed a month to month subscription for it's features to work. These? nope. Using the local base for storage, after only a month of moderate recording and storing using 5 of the 8 cameras, only 1 GB of the external storage is full. and that is the storage it came with. I can also install a SSD or SATA HHD into the base unit if I want. That would most likely give me over a years worth of recordings IF I wanted to store that long. NOW, if I wanted cloud storage and additional AI features, yes, I could buy them at $56.46 per month after a 7 day free trial, or $566.99 per year for 5 cameras. That is for Premium. Pro is $31.49 monthly after 30 day trail, or $315.99 yearly for 5 cameras after 30 day trial. And Basic, that runs $5.49 per month after 30 day trial, or $52.49 for the year after the 30 day trial. Basic only supports 1 device. if you want 2-5, it is pro or premium only. However, the pricing i show here is for 5 cameras. Enroll less cameras, pay less. BUT, since I can view the local storage in the app, I do not need to purchase cloud storage and many additional AI enhancements the paid side offers. This is the added value!Local is free!

Voice / talk feature! I can talk to my dogs while away. I can answer questions to visitors while away. just like the RING doorbell can. Only in this package, I can talk in all the cameras and the 180 / 360 view, I can look clearly and focused at whom I am speaking. Even have a record feature.
Alarms: Love these. I get 4 to choose from. gotta admit, they are fun to play with. Only lack of interest here is the inability to record custom alarms. But they are still fun and effective!
I have selected 3 cameras to show the images. By the way - These cameras are absolutely PERFECT for RV life styles. Another extra value. They are so mobile and versatile.

I chose this system in pursuit to have video security on a 4-plex in Miami Beach. This D1 Classic 4-Cam is easy to install, connect and use through the app. The WiFi does reach a fair length even though is hard through concrete walls.
Great user experience as well as video quality. I got it for $299+tax on a deal and I’m quite happy.

Has issues with android phone system as it will not allow you to delete messages from the system telling you you have deleted some video. This is adding to the memory usage on my phone. See pic. Also would like to view on a PC and not have to buy a special viewer or use up phone memory and battery.
Good cameras good resolution not the best but good. Do seam to stay charged with the solar and internal batteries. Setup was easy. Fix the issues with android phone system as it will not allow you to delete messages I would add 1 more star and work on pc 5 start.

Where do I start? I am not tech savvy at all. I was able to set this up VERY easily. The hardest part was drilling into my house. I purchased the two camera system. Both cameras completely cover the front and sides of my house and they have motion detection. You download the free app. You don’t have to buy a subscription. The camera holds onto events throughout the day. It has a crisp, clear view and clear sound. You can operate it through the app. You can turn a light on the security camera, there is also an automated message featuring a man’s voice. There are three options. One says, leave a package, one prompts people to leave the property immediately and the last one asks what the person is doing on the property. You can also speak through the camera via the app. As well as zoom and rotate the camera 360°. Lastly, there is a loud siren you can set off. During the day the camera is in full color. At night, there is an option of full color or regular night vision. You can allow alerts through the app that go right to your phone. This is an absolute must. Especially for people that might be scared to be home alone and if you have children home alone. I have Doberman Pinschers. Usually their bark scares everyone off. With the addition of these cameras, I feel EXTRA, extra secure. I am so happy with these that I’m gifting them to family members.

Overall I’m satisfied with this product. Don’t have to pay a monthly subscription and their solar panel. Had these for 2 weeks now and they’ve been 100% battery. The picture quality is pretty good for its price only wish the zoom feature is less pixel. It didnt took long to mount the cameras. The app is pretty good I could look at the cameras while I’m at work. Wish the app isn’t as laggy though. Only couple dislikes I have is I wish the talk ability is more clear. When I try to talk on both voice changer and normal voice, it cuts my voice a lot. Note they’re within 70+ percent on wifi range in which AOSU recommends moving your camera close to the home hub if it’s less than 50% of WiFi signal range. Another thing I dislike is during the cold , it really fogs up the camera view. Only time it’ll clear is when it gets warmer. Other than that, I’m again , satisfied with this camera and I’d recommend this for anyone that wants a value price of security cameras and don’t have to pay a monthly subscription.

Honestly, after installing these into my fathers home before he passed away I can say a huge thank you to the company. Aosu has proven to be the best bang for you buck security system on market that you dont need a rocket scientist to do. I installed all 4 of my units plus the home port. If installed at the correct spots they won't move. These cameras survived 2 hurricanes before I sold the house. And yes the system stayed w the home. Bought a 2nd set for the HOA. Set survived hurricane Milton before we lost power completely

Pros:
Good price for what you get. The cameras have good image quality and see well at night.
The tracking feature is very nice and can let you capture a wide range with fewer cameras (though you have to choose what field of view detects motion by default).
The installation is easy, and if you get a few hours of sunlight, the camera will not need hardwiring. But you can hardwire if needed, especially if the camera is in a high traffic area.
When on battery mode, you can have it automatically adjust motion sensitivity to reduce battery drain, or you can have it sleep during certain times, like if you only want it to run at night for instance.
Customer service is also great - one of my cameras had a motor break after a week and they replaced it for me.
If you use color image mode at night, it flashes an LED light. I use this as a replacement for a flood light that I had as a theft deterrent - very nice.
Cons:
The home base must be positioned relatively close for proper performance of the camera. This makes it difficult to use the cameras across the entire house perimeter with one home base because there is no way for it to be extended. It also has to be hardwired to Ethernet. When I had mine connected to my router, it was too far from 2 of the cameras. So instead, I installed a WiFi extender near the middle of my house. This gave all of the cameras a slightly sub optimal signal, but good enough to work it seems. Though one of them just went offline and had to be re-paired.
Local storage is limited. Although it seems to hold about 2 weeks worth of data for my usage, it cannot be expanded, and the cloud storage options are a bit pricy.
Motion sensing sometimes lags, so you may only catch the tail end of an event.

I found this security camera system to be a valuable investment for its reliability and peace of mind protection . The image quality is excellent both day and nigh. The solar-powered setup is very easy just to wire the base unit with power and internet cable. Installed both camera easily with keeping the solar panel facing for maximum day sunlight location. No need for constant charging or monthly fees. "AOSU" the mobile app is very intuitive with reliable two-way audio and lost of features. I really like the local indoor storage, which keeps footage safe even if incase the camera is stolen. While motion tracking and detection range is working well. The built quality and material seems to be very robust and long lasting. The overall performance and its combo price makes it a value for money and right choice for home security for DIY project.

Out of the box, set up was a breeze. However, once I started mounting the cameras, it was clear that there was an issue with the mounting system. There is a bracket piece that is screwed onto the house and then the camera slides on and is supposed to click in securely. Unfortunately, they do not click in very well. With the slightest of pressure with one finger, the camera detaches from the bracket. A heavy rain, wind or snow will easily knock these cameras off. I had to wrap electrical tape around all brackets and the cameras to make sure they do not come off. Poor design. Also, within the first week of use, we lost connection to the cameras multiple times and could not reconnect. The home base randomly re-connected and one time took almost a day to do so. Then we finally lost connection and there was no getting it back. After a long chat back and forth with tech support and after trying just about everything multiple times we could not get the home base to connect back. We went on a weekend trip and when we came back tried the last suggestion of tech support which was to switch out the Ethernet cable. It finally worked and reconnected. Its been a day and a half and cameras are still connected. Fingers crossed. If it disconnects again, we will be returning. Pros: initial setup was easy, camera quality is good and cameras track as they are supposed to.

After years of hesitance, I felt that this AOSU design hits all the marks for ease application. Solar, Easy Wireless Connection, no minimum subscription etc. After nearly 2 months of use, I decided to share my experience.
But first, CUDOS for making available a prompt customer service who follow through via phone and email.
Cons of my experience:
>There is a quick install prompt with QR codes etc. which worked rather well. However there is no published Owners Manual. So playing with functions and trouble shooting is trial & error, or another phone call. Publishing a User Guide would help us to determine suitability of this kit BEFORE I spent a day and a half to determine optimal locations and fabricating mounts - facing South.
> You will only learn via customer service that the cameras only communicate directly through your home base (located near your router) and your WiFi extension booster has no effect. They recommend about 35 ft max distance from router to camera and a minimum 88% WiFi reception at each camera. ( I sometimes see as low as 44% but anything over 50% turns each camera's WiFi staus from Red to Green.) That alone is impractical at my 1,400 sq ft Rancher with Stucco siding.
>Playing with the Human Only feature (which eliminates false alerts from blowing landscape), and turning off the Auto Detection Range helped to greatly reduce jittery and intermittent tracking.
> Regarding the 90 degree / 360 tracking. It is not a continuous 360 - there is a limit stop and the camera will not turn around a corner if it's mounted with the limit stop inside a Right Hand corner. The app will read "Camera was at the limit" - I don't think there is a fix for this. But even if there was......
> Up close tracking is too slow. When we walk towards a camera at any normal pace, we walk out of the frame before it will face 90d down - much less track around a corner. At a slow crawl and waiving it will face down and at least start to turn but not continue -even if the limit stop is on the other side. This isn't a function of WiFi strength and Customer Service says to wait and see if Firm Ware updates address this down the road. So I am missing much of the coverage I should have if the tracking performed as advertised.
> Phone app occasionally locks up during playback or all together. Close app and starting over works.
Pros;
Customer Service did try to address some of this by sending me 1 No Charge replacement camera. I thought I might try to deploy it as a 5th camera to cover some of the now uncovered Gaps. However the homebase will only allow 4 cameras at a time. Apparently not expandable (So much for adding their Doorbell to this setup)
> The alerts to the cell phone app are usually contemporaneous, but sometimes also lag. that may be other issues beyond the control of AOSU.
Overall, I still like this product which is a big leap forward from when we had nothing. I believe half of the battle is for ill intentioned individuals to see 1. that the cameras are up - and 2. when they start tracking movement, those perps are greatly discouraged. I am hoping that future Firm Ware updates will alleviate at least some of these concerns - especially the close range tracking. But until then, 3 stars

I purchased the aosu solar cameras to replace another brand I have had for about a year. The quality of the image is so much better than what I had. I am not a techie but it was super easy to set up and has great features. I love the tracking and the zoom capability. There is a very effective flood light at night and you can also talk through it from the app. The base unit will store a limited amount of images too. So for my purposes, I will not have to subscribe to Cloud. Another thing I really like is the response time of the cameras to the app. I get a notification and tap on it and almost immediately I can see the image. My old system took so long that by the time I could connect the trigger was gone and it usually missed recording it as well. Sound is better and the night vision is far superior to what I had. The first day after I set it up, it captured this cute bear running through my driveway. I was sold! Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.
