Why won’t it work

I plugged it in to charge it. Why does it get hot to hold it. And it’s not coming on to set it up. I know it’s an used one but it’s not working

Poor product.

It was a great device when I was in middle school but nothing is compatible with IOS 12 anymore. You can not download anything really on it. I think in the description it needs to state compatibility is not great with anything. I still have not figured out how to out music on it. I just wanted to use it for music and pictures. Mine was in Mint condition and my battery life was decent but overall not a great purchase. Should be worth more like $50

Battery exploded after just 8 months

Have had it less than a year and the battery already exploded! Says I cant return or exchange. Total BS. WTF!??

only had it for about a week but so far it's being doing it's job. there were many people commenting on the battery but i've had no problems with it. the camera was better then i expected and the overall design is amazing! screen quality is okey just keep the brightness down or you'll get a head ache. the size is small but cute and easy to handle. i dont know about the download speed because i have not downloaded anything. funtionality is pretty impressive. as well as the connectivity.

The battery is great and its in fresh out of the box condition. Ive dropped it once and it barely made a visible crack. I love using this to take a break from my large iphone 15 and just to use it for retro gsming like playing jetpack joyride. This can also be a great ipod for people who want a good working and fast and a comfortable experience with a ipod, or even for children. Sure, it doesnt run ios 15 or up but can download most apps. But it doesnt have celluar but its an ipod. The design is comfortable and exellent and its screen is awesome. Price is fair too, and its the same size as an iphone 5c but thinner.

Decent physical condition but poor battery life

Physically it’s in good condition, however, the battery life is awful. We purchased this for our daughter’s birthday and unfortunately will be returning it because the battery life was terrible. We set it up the night before and charged it fully since it was showing a red battery indicator out of the box. Once it was set up and fully charged, we turned it off to preserve the battery. When we turned it on after she opened it, the battery level was low so we charged it again to full. The battery didn’t even last 30-45 minutes before showing a red battery indicator. We figured maybe it was due to all the iMessages and FaceTime calls she was getting for her birthday initially, but even afterwards, when it was fully charged again, it was dying quickly with minimal use. It also kept failing to backup to iCloud and after troubleshooting it appears to be a hardware issue. It does have some blemishes but that wasn’t an issue since it was going to be in a case anyways. Since this is a 6th gen, it also can’t get some of the apps that you might want to use like Spotify because the older iOS version is no longer supported. There is a work around of signing in on a supported iOS version and downloading the apps that are no longer supported or if you already had those apps prior. That will allow you to download the older app versions on the 6th Gen. Other than that and the battery issue, this is a great introductory device for a kiddo.

Looks and feels brand new!

I was a bit hesitant about buying this due to the price but I am happy to say that it was worth it. Its in great condition, I wouldn't have known it was refurbished unless told. It works great, set up only took a few moments (if you now you apple id etc), I primarily use it for music and the audio quality is great. Overall it was worth the expense.

Garbage!!!

Ir would upload all my songs it ignored about 40% and I can't get my money back Apple is garbage!!!

A complete dud and a waste of time.

Within 2 minutes of opening and doing the setup to the point of wanting to update itself, it needed to be restored for unknown reasons. Spent over an hour with Scott at Apple support after a 15 minute hold and we did everything from hard resets to diabling my PC's firewalls, to uninstalling and reinstalling my iTunes, to moving to tier2 support.

Spent time looking up this code as well. In the end Apple said it would be best to return it as it would be VERY expensive to send it in for repairs. They believe that the issues are with internal memory.

To note, this iPOD came with an aftermarket charging cable and not an original which is something they asked about. Either way, this really put a hamper on me buying refurb again for a while.

Decent, but scratched deeply

Shipping time was excellent. It came in a plain box and with a charger, but no headphones (which was disappointing). While this product is refurbished, I was not impressed with the deep scratches on the back edges and on the screen. Unless otherwise noted, I expect items like this to look relatively new. This is for my son for his birthday so I'm not pleased we'll be giving him a scratched up ipod (I hope the case that's coming will make it look more new than it does now). I would have gotten a new one had I known how dinged up this one was going to be. I can't say if the battery life is good or not since I received it with a dead battery. All in all, it IS an apple ipod touch and it isn't in terrible condition, but for the amount of scratches I'm docking it two stars. Fingers crossed the battery life holds out.

Came with 5GB of memory

Straight out of the box, this iPod has only 5GB. How is that even a thing?

Quality Product sold at a reasonable Price

Recieved my ipod today, very nice packaging. It's my first ipod ever. I see that setting it up is a bit of a challenge, cannot seem to get the ipod to accept any of the wifi networks i entered, im still working on it. Overall im pleased with the purchase.

Worked properly for less than a month

Bought on Dec 27..Now Feb 5 and it will not stay on..keeps returning to Apple logo..spent 2 days trying to fix it..worked for 2 days and now back to the Apple screen..last day to return was Jan 31 but the site said 90 day return

Absolutely Worthless

Came in a box way too big for it with nowhere near enough packing material, the case was absolutely SHATTERED. When I got it out it couldn’t connect to iTunes to set up, I tried it on multiple computers and got the same error so it’s definitely a problem with the iPod. Absolutely worthless, complete waste of money.

Update just for the heck of it: 2 years later and still working like new. I don't have a phone and use this instead as a "wifi" only phone. I can still use all the same apps I would with a phone but at a much lower price, and smaller size. Only thing I miss is GPS, but I have a plug in Elf GPS for if I ever desperately need it.

CAME DAMAGED AND LATE

Came late and outer casing was BROKEN. No damage to the iPod that I can tell.
