Umm not sure what happened!

As pictured, I didn’t get a new AQARA camera in the box but a USED ARLO CAMERA!

Great camera for homeKit- seamless integration

his is an amazing camera with very nice HomeKit integration, main reason why I purchased. Feels very native in the apple ecosystem. I picked this version over the wifi (this has worst reviews) because I believe PoE has a better signal and more reliable connection. I only Dont like the way the conector was done using a weather proof gasket which is pretty thick, had it not been that way I could had a cleaner install. See pictures. This camera is a bit bigger than it looks like on picture, but it is good size and should not be an issue for most installations. The mic sound is good, I can hear my son speak clearly. Value wise, this is not a Ring priced camera, it is expensive but if you are in the apple ecosystem, I do not believe there are many options better for less. Please note the little screw on my picture, you have to remove it to mount the camera on the wall first, I could not figure it out and did not see anything on how to remove it on the manual. Video quality is superb, even at night.

Perfect If You're Building an Aqara Smart Home

I recently started adding Aqara devices to my smart home, beginning with their excellent U200 lock. To expand my setup, I needed a hub that could handle Thread and Matter for their smart bulbs. That's where the Aqara Camera Hub G5 Pro came in. While it’s technically a camera too, for me the big value is that it's a hub for the Aqara system. The video quality is very good, and choosing the PoE version made installation much easier since I already have a PoE switch in my network — one cable handles both power and data. If you just need a camera, there might be better options out there. But if you're building or expanding an Aqara system, this hub-camera combo is a fantastic solution.

Great camera, terrible mount.

4 stars because the camera is amazing. POE solid connection to HomeKit, zero load times, I’ve bought two. That said, I don’t know what they were thinking with the mount. It’s horrible. You can turn the camera… at all. They put a little key in it that prevents it from being angled. Makes no sense. Luckily, it’s an easy fix. Just cut it off. Insane at this price they messed up the mount so bad. Trim off the elevated piece of plastic circled in my photo. Or buy another mount. They even tell you to angle the camera for the vehicle detection but it’s impossible with the mount the way it comes.

EXCELLENT NIGHT COLOR

After purchasing ONE of these cameras, and seeing the EXCELLENT NIGHT COLOR, I purchased three more! I've gone through Blink, Ring, Eufy (Goofy!), and Wyze in my search for night wildlife cameras, and this camera "Beats All." See the MIDNIGHT photos attached to this review. I love that these cameras are POE, so I don't have to suffer the stuttering of Wi-Fi footage. I subtracted a star because the AI Motion Detection isn't yet on a par with the Wyze V4 cameras. The V4's have both excellent DETECTION and IDENTIFICATION. I think that the Aqara will improve with updates. So for now, I will be using Aqara for VIEWING and the Wyze V4's for their excellent wildlife detection. de KØUNX, Jim, in Colorado.

Worth it, but really should have gotten Wifi option.

This is a very heavy duty, weatherproof camera. It has great connection through Ethernet and is an outstanding picture quality! The mounting is fairly simple. The connecting through the app and QR code is simple as can be. It is a little heavy for a camera, but it also has great capabilities.

The only thing I really would do differently is to get a Wifi camera option, instead of one that connects by Ethernet cable. You have to really do some work to have a long enough cable to run it outside for power and network.

All of that being said...

This is a great, durable camera, nonetheless, and worth the money!
