Dude.. so fun
This (minibrute 2s) is my first semi modular synth.. okay it’s actually my first synth. I’ve learned SO MUCH about creating music with this device! The sounds..you create them but I know that each synth produces its own sound. My knowledge isn’t deep enough to compare this with others but through YouTube but you can create what seems like endless sounds using the modular area. It’s crazy! I know there are a few other beginner type semi modular synths out there that are supposedly even better for beginners ie the moog grandmother.. but honestly now that I’ve had a chance to explore a grandmother at guitar center after learning this synth.. I’m so glad I didn’t go that way because you can do so much more with this synth for half the price. I’m also so glad I went with the pad version.. but likely because it’s all I know:/ I hooked my 2s up to a reverb guitar pedal and OMG... it’s my favorite! Anxious to pair the 2s with a 0-coast as it will continue to give me new sounds!
Whole point of write up:
If you have never in your life laid hands on a synth much less a semi modular synth but have a healthy curiosity, love electronic sounds, and are willing to do some learning (doesn’t take but a 2.5 GPA range to understand it.. that’s not considering people with undiagnosed add in high school that may have had like a .8) this will open up your whole world. It’s not too expensive so you don’t feel overwhelmed with pressure. Also, this thing can be with you for life. It’s a no joke instrument with sequencing.. controlling.. modulating capabilities GALORE.
GET THIS THING PEOPLE..
