High-Definition Indoor Smart Security Camera with Two-Way Video

This 4MP indoor security camera is an impressive piece of tech that offers top-notch quality and a range of smart features. I’ve installed it in my office, which shares space with our theater room, and it has been perfect for monitoring activity. Beyond security, it’s become a convenient way to communicate with my kids from across the house without having to get up.

The setup process was incredibly simple using the Smart Life app. This was a huge plus for me since I already use that app for other electronics in our home, making it easy to keep everything in one monitoring system. The camera provides a crystal-clear 4MP feed with minimal lag, and the 355° pan feature allows me to rotate the view left or right directly from my phone. Through the app, I can also take photos, record video, or use the two-way audio to talk to whoever is in the room.

The hardware itself is well-designed and features two main physical buttons. One is a dedicated AI button, and the other is a call button that allows someone at the camera to call my phone immediately through the app. The notification system is fast and reliable, and adjusting the motion tracking or sensitivity settings within the app is a breeze. For the price, the combination of high-definition video and immediate two-way communication makes this an excellent value for a modern smart home

Very high quality for the price!

This camera is an amazing value with all the features it has packed inside! It was very easy to get setup, including the firmware update, it took around ten minutes. It has a native recording function if you have a memory card or cloud storage in the app. It uses the Smartlife app and not some one off sketchy app. There's a ton of settings you can customize but my favorite is the tracking and detailed alerts. It tells you in a push notification exactly what is going on before you ever open it. The video quality is amazing and higher definition than expected out of the small sensor. It has a 6x digital zoom and it seems like a 2x optical zoom and it's still fairly clear. I love the ability to pan around with the app so you scan the entire room or set it to motion tracking. It stays on the moving target the whole time and keeps it in focus. There is also a call or video call feature to check on your baby while away at work. It's very clear and crisp with both the audio and video quality. This little camera is worth the $80 it's listed at right now and honestly more. I definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to keep an eye on their baby room!

Indoor smart camera with display offers clear video reliable tracking and useful alerts

I’ve been using this indoor security camera to monitor activity at home, and the built‑in screen is a nice feature. The 4MP video is clear, and the pan and motion tracking work smoothly. Detection for people and pets is accurate, and the two‑way video and audio function makes communication easy.

Setup was straightforward, and it connects well on both 2.4G and 5G WiFi. The AI alerts are helpful, especially for motion and sound detection, though they can be a bit sensitive at times. Overall, it’s a solid and convenient indoor camera with good features for everyday monitoring.

Camera and app work perfectly. Easy setup and use. Possible security issue.

This is a well-made camera that works great and is easy to set up and use. It’s also a great value. I do have an issue with it, which I will explain below, though.

The camera was super easy to get set up and connectivity is great. I actually already had the app because I had a different camera that uses the same one. The app works well with the camera. It isn’t the most intuitive, but once you get used to it, the app works well. You can even download your stored videos if you have either cloud storage or, like me, an SD card installed. I really like being able to use my finger to touch the phone and make the camera turn. It’s so easy, and it’s immediately responsive.

The picture is crystal clear, too. There are a lot of fun features of this camera and the accompanying app. The AI is interesting. I had it set up in my kitchen, and I got a notification that some items were on the floor. I thought that was funny that it specified what the items actually were because of the AI feature.

The screen of the camera might be my favorite part, though. You can choose what you show on the screen. I chose the little chipmunks because I think they’re adorable. And the screen is a good size. I’d say it’s similar to a phone’s screen size. I couldn’t figure out how to change the way the time is displayed on it, though. The 24-hour clock is displayed. My military husband is fine with that, but I prefer the 12-hour clock. Most things like this will allow for changes to the clock. I didn’t see anywhere to do that.

There are so many features of this camera and accompanying app that I really like and enjoy. What threw me off, though, is a notification that I received about the camera from my internet provider. Apparently, this camera’s cloud server is in Hong Kong, and it notified me that they (internet provider) blocked a security threat. So the camera has been unplugged since then. I would love to figure out a way to use this camera, but if I can’t learn how to block that type of action, I will not be able to do so.

Not User-Friendly and Constant Freezing Makes It Unusable

I really wanted to like this camera, especially since it’s marketed as a baby/elderly monitor with a built-in 4” screen and AI conversation features, but unfortunately my experience has been very frustrating.

The biggest issue is that the unit constantly freezes. Every time I attempt to view the video feed, it locks up to the point where I have to force power it off just to reset it. This happens repeatedly, making it nearly impossible to actually use the camera for its intended purpose. I’m honestly not sure if my unit is defective, but if this is normal behavior, it’s a serious problem.

On top of that, the system is not very user-friendly. Navigation feels clunky, and when you’re monitoring a baby or an elderly family member, reliability and ease of use are non-negotiable.

In theory, this is a great idea. In practice, the freezing issues completely undermine its usefulness. Until the performance is more stable, I can’t confidently recommend it.

Two stars for concept, but reliability needs major improvement. Would be a good value in good working order. I can’t tell you if the picture quality is good because I can’t make it work correctly. With that said I can’t comment on the motion detection as a result either.

Interactive Video Monitor with Two-Way Calling, Built-In Screen and App Control

We’ve been using this camera primarily in my six-year-old’s room, and what immediately sets it apart from a standard baby or security monitor is the ability for my child to initiate contact with the simple press of a button. When the screen is idle, it shows the time and weather, so it feels more like a small bedside clock than a camera, which made my son comfortable with it right away (especially with the ability to customize the screensaver image with any photo of his choosing, simply upload from your phone photos). If he needs me, he can press the call button and it rings my phone like a normal video call. He sees my face, I see him, and we can talk naturally without yelling through the house. When he was sick and resting in bed, this was especially helpful, it made it easy for him to reach me no matter where I was in the house. If he needed a snack, water or help in general, he hit the button and when I answered we were talking face to face.

From a technical standpoint, setup was straightforward and took only a few minutes through the app. Video and audio quality during live calls are impressively clear, and night vision works well in a dark room. The camera can pan side-to-side remotely, recordings can be saved with a microSD card, and the app interface is intuitive and user friendly enough that I didn’t need to reference instructions. The monitor looks like a nice modern clock which avoids the normal type of attention a “security camera” brings when people see it and the built quality is very impressive for its price point.

Room for improvement:

The display screen only displays the time in 24-hour format and temperature is only shown in Celsius. Not all parts of the world read it that way and unfortunately, there’s no option to change this (after checking every settings option and going through the “help” section of the app). Hopefully, there can be a firmware/ software update that allows time to be shown in 12 hr (AM, PM) and temperature to be displayed in Fahrenheit.

Also it would be nice if the camera could tilt up and down instead of just side to side. I’ve found that it’s hard to see my kids when they’re playing on the floor (which they do a lot). This would also be useful if someone was using this to watch an elderly family member, just in case there was a fall or something. So keep in mind, it’s good to find a low location to place the monitor to ensure you can see the floor, cause even though the monitor’s display is designed for a vertical image in portrait mode, the built-in camera and image you see when monitoring on your phone is displayed in a widescreen (horizontal) format.

That aside, this has proven to be a genuinely useful interactive communication tool. It works great for kids or anyone who would like an easy video style intercom system in their home. The unit is also portable. With it’s sleek and compact design, if needed you can take it outside or another room, just unplug it and take it with you. As long as it’s still connected to your WiFi it will work the same. The internal battery has a good life span and a convenient gauge on the display so you know how much charge is left. For the price, this camera/ monitor combo is a great value that I’d recommend because it offers solid reliability, thoughtful features, and a great user experience.

Impressive! Very useful indoor camera.

This camera is working fantastic with my iphone 17. I already have other products that use the same app, so the camera automatically paired itself, which saved time and I didn't have to fuss with that part of the directions. The settings are versatile, and the camera rotates to cover a large area. The screen displays the weather and other functions. Picture quality is clear, really good, I suggest aiming it not at a window like my example photo. When the dog goes by some times it reads as "pet detected", another time it said "cute" pet detected and the example photo says "brown" dog. It also describes humans, so prepare to have your age judged by automation! This camera can be used to monitor kids by a pool, sleeping babies, you name it. I'm impressed, also a very useful tool when I'm not at home. A+ from me.

Favorable 4-5 star reviews are common since I select items I expect I will like. However, should the product fall short I will always include honest information. All opinions are my own and on occasion I may solicit feedback from my family.

Reliable indoor camera with great picture, AI descriptions are accurate

This indoor security camera and screen is perfect for keeping track of your home while you’re away, keeping an eye on your sleeping child, or making sure your elderly loved ones are safe. Setting it up takes just a couple minutes and is very easy. The app is very easy to use and it has a ton of settings and features you can change to your liking. It stays connected to my phone very well and it hasn’t dropped the connection yet. I love being able to turn the camera a full 360° from my phone even when I’m hundreds of miles away. This ensures that I have a full view of my home and reduces blind spots. The pictures quality is very good and even at night, I can clearly make out what’s happening. The screen on the camera itself is also an amazing feature. It helps with setting it up and it also displays the time, weather and more when not in use. Great deal for the price and added sense of security.

Large 4 inch display - easy to set up and great quality resolution

This 4MP smart indoor camera from Aurumbach is much higher tech than any other indoor security cameras we currently have.

I ordered this one after reading the description of all the features. So much it will do! This will detect humans, pets, and even a baby crying. There is an app you download on your phone and the set up is not difficult. You can show the time and weather on the screen of the camera. The display is crisp and clear!

You can subscribe to a cloud subscription if you wish to record. Also, on the left side of the camera there is a slot for an SD card.

Eventually, we will be replacing our years old indoor cameras with this brand. We have a large home and I feel more secure with the more security cameras we have set up.

Super nice, highly recommend!

And at the time of my review, they have it on sale for 11% off making the price $79.99 - plus a coupon offered to make the price $71.99

Don't hesitate to purchase this one!

Neat features and good quality!

This is surprisingly good quality. The AI feature is scary good, I ended up turning it off. The display quality is good enough for it's size and the camera has good contrast and colors. The volume can be turned up pretty loud that you can hear the speaker from a good distance away. I'm wary of ip cameras security and this one is no exception.

Update: after a few days it stopped functioning correctly. I can view the stream but could not make a call to it or from it. I reset the device and reconnected but it failed to pair. It have been like that for a week and I've tried different phones several times.

Good image quality - only some works w/o subscription

This indoor security camera has some really nice features. I like that it has a video call button. It also has really good quality imaging.

It takes a bit to set it up. It actually uses the same app as a couple of my automatic pet feeders.

The app is really only useful if you have a subscription.

One thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was that it is not easy to turn off completely if you want to. You have to use a wire to poke into a tiny hole on the side and then hit the two top buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds to power it off. Or you can just unplug it and let the battery drain to nothing. Not great.

I did find that if this camera is not plugged in, the battery drains relatively quickly. So it’s likely better if it is plugged in most of the time. You can use it without it being plugged in though. So you can pick it up and move it or carry it with you.

Overall, this is an ok indoor camera. There are just a few things that could be better though too.

Crystal Clear Resolution , 4 inch screen , Easy to set up

This indoor security camera is very impressive,

1st off it is very easy to set up , it comes with easy to follow instructions and the app controls everything from your phone .

2nd - the resolution is crystal clear and the 2-way audio video works smoothly ,

3rd - the 355 motion tracking covers most of the area i have the camera in with no lag .

4th - the AI feature on this unit is both convenient and useful .

This security camera has 2-way communication with clear video and Audio with a 355 pan of the room so you catch movement and details reliably . The 4 inch screen is perfect and easy to see and even displays the time - date - temp .

This camera is corded and needs to be plugged in to work . I do wish it was cordless so i could have more options on where to use it but all in all it is a well made easy to set up camera with extra features and at the current price point a good value .

Holy cow, this feels like a tiny AI companion, not a camera

Holy cow! This camera does not feel like a camera at all.

It looks, feels, and weighs like its identity, like its own computer or AI individual sitting on the shelf.

I set it up in minutes on 5G WiFi and the screen made the process simple without grabbing my phone every step.

The 4MP image looks sharp and clean, even at night, and the pan and tracking feel smooth.

Motion tracking follows movement across the room without lag.

Baby crying, human, and pet detection work well and send alerts fast.

The two way video and AI conversation feature feel natural instead of robotic.

I use the screen daily to check in without opening an app.

For a baby or elderly monitor, the design feels thoughtful and solid.

I am beyond impressed and this feels worth every dollar.

Great Family Camera with Smart Features, But Some AI Is Locked

This indoor camera has a lot going for it, especially the built-in 4" display and two-way video calling. I really like that it sends a snapshot along with a written description of what’s happening—very helpful for quick check-ins without opening live view. The call button is a big plus too; kids can press it and instantly start a voice or video call, which feels reassuring and easy to use.

It’s also nice that the camera is portable—you can unplug it and move it to another room or take it with you if needed. Pan and tracking work well, and overall the setup feels family-friendly and intuitive.

The only downside is that some of the AI features are locked behind a subscription, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the core features still work well, and it’s a solid, convenient camera for everyday home use.

Excellent Indoor Camera with Screen — Clear Video and Easy Setup

This is a fantastic indoor security camera, and we’ve been very impressed with it. Setup was quick and easy, and we were immediately pleased with the video quality and the wide viewing angle. The pan and tracking work smoothly, and the picture on the built-in 4” screen is clear and easy to see.

We’ve cared for an elderly family member in the past, and something like this would have been incredibly helpful just to check in from another room. It would also be great for a nursery, playroom, or general in-home monitoring. We’re currently using it to keep an eye on our pets, especially since we’re trying to figure out which one has been getting into trouble—being able to review activity has already been helpful.

The two-way video and audio work well, and we had no issues making calls or viewing the feed from the phone. Motion tracking is responsive, and the camera covers a large area thanks to the 355° pan.

There is an optional subscription if you want advanced features like AI alerts and real-time tracking notifications, but for our needs, we’re perfectly happy using it without a subscription as a reliable indoor camera.

Overall, this is a well-designed, versatile indoor security camera with excellent video quality and thoughtful features. We’re very happy with it and would absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for an easy-to-use in-home monitoring solution.
