Following-up: The Avantree Boombyte (Green color) is working flawless. I Bluetooth the speaker with my Hisense TV and I love the sound quality on the vocals. I recommend the SOFT equalizer settings for best voice for TV. I recommend CLASSICAL equalizer settings for MP3 SD card music. I purchased a second unit (Red color) for the bedroom. The red color is gorgeous. The red edition has a shine that I can not described. The red is the best color. The Bose Sound Mini Link is the gold standard for compact Bluetooth speakers. The big con on the Bose Sound Mini Link there is no FM Tuner, USB SD Memory Slot, and Micro SD Card Slot. The Bose bass response blows away all the compact speakers I’ve own, Antimi, Retekess V115, and Raddy RF320. The Antimi was my favorite because it is an “All-in-one” radio. The Antimi sound was okay but lack adequate bass response. The Raddy RF320 has decent bass response but it has only one passive radiator speaker. There is no stereo music coming from the single passive radiator speaker. The Raddy RF320 is not a portable. I am retired and have a lot of time to research for a compact radio that is “All-in-one” with stereo speakers and good bass response. Holy Moly! I found the holy grail of “All-in-one” compact portable STEREO radio. The radio is made with high quality material. The radio feels premium. There are two passive radiator speakers for STEREO listening. The unit can play 17 hours with a full charge. The FM tuner reception is good and strong. The big pro is the bass response and the power output from the amplifier. I am blown away with the bass on the Avantree Boombyte. The price is justify for the quality and features for a STEREO radio. This is an “All-in-one radio” with STEREO and good bass response in a compact design. You will not be disappointed. Happy listening.

I bought this black MP3 player, and when I turn it off, it issues a very loud screech. I bought a second green one, and it does not do it. You can see in the video where the problem is. I contacted the seller about a week ago, privately, asking them to fix the solution 0 I requested a simple exchange with a faulty MP3 player for one that works. I have not heard from them.

As you can see this little guy has seen better days. I bought this April 2024. I lost it 2 weeks later. I looked everywhere. I thought it was gone for good. Last week my wife came in with it in her hand. It had spent the last year in the back yard or one of our rentals. Yes one year in the rain, snow, and general nastyness of the eastern North Carolina swamps. So I did what every red blooded american would do. I plugged in in and turned it on. It works. I checked everything the radio, the Bluetooth connections, the SD slot heck even the SD card that I left in it works. The only thing that let's you know it spent the last year outside in the weather is the sun faded case.

First of all let me start off by saying I love a great sounding speaker. Like a couple review have said I am always going to look for the speaker that gives me the best bang for my buck. I have had the antimi speaker for a couple years now because it sounds good for what it is and the battery life is fantastic and also very portable. I use to take it everywhere I go. I no longer get 100 percent when I plug it out (I had the Antimi for at least two years)
I came by this speaker with a 4.7 review. That's the highest rating I've seen in a speaker ( the Antimi is around 4.3). After reading through the specs I decided to give it a try cause what really could go wrong. I was right nothing went wrong. I ordered it last night and it came the following day mid afternoon. As soon as it arrives I immediately paired it and stacked it against the Antimi. It is slightly bigger than the Antimi.
The bass on this thing made my eyes bulge. To put things in context the Antimi is 6 watts this is 14 watts. They sound pretty similar overall very good mid and highs from both. this speaker puts out the low-end and it makes it overall a more attractive speaker. It is also quite a bit louder and fuller at max volume.
Where it leaves the Antimi in the dust tho is that you can save up to 10 fm channels and it has a eq setting in the Bluetooth mode where you can customize the sound.
One thing I was wondering about was the blue screen light and it it would be a nuisance at night but the light turns of after about 30 seconds so no worries there.
Overall it was a great spontaneous decision which paid off. I love my Antimi but this is clearly a superior speaker.
P.s this speaker has a 4000 mah battery that's double the Antimi.
Cheers 🥂🥂

. . . for having bought this delightful little radio
It's much smaller (6.93"L x 5.51"W x 1.73"H) than I expected -- I had envisioned it as about the size of the one held aloft by Matthew Broderick in 'Say Anything', or the vintage boomboxes on the shoulders of the stereotypical ghetto-istas; it easily fits into my jacket pocket
(No, I did not expand the 'See more' portion of the product description -- tsk, tsk)
It adequately picks up FM signals from stations as far from me as 60-70 miles (I live in the southern Appalachian mountains)
It's got features (MP3 Player, Support Micro SD Card & USB Audio Input) I'll need my nephews to explain
Now here's the AI re-write of the foregoing:
I'm delighted with this charming little radio I've purchased. It's significantly smaller (6.93"L x 5.51"W x 1.73"H) than anticipated—I had imagined something akin to the iconic boombox hoisted by Matthew Broderick in 'Say Anything', or those carried by old-school hip-hop aficionados; yet, it easily fits into my jacket pocket.
Admittedly, I skipped expanding the 'See more' section of the product description—my oversight, indeed.
Remarkably, it captures FM signals from stations up to 60-70 miles away (my home is nestled in the southern Appalachian mountains).
It boasts features (MP3 Player, Micro SD Card support, and USB Audio Input) that I'll likely enlist my nephews to demystify.
Having perused the product description and discovered it's available in green, I'm plan to acquire one when the price drops.

The Boombyte is an impressive compact stereo speaker with FM radio, Bluetooth, USB, headphone jack, micro SD card, equalizer for Bluetooth and battery life.
As others have mentioned, the sound and loudness is much better than expected. You can easily switch between FM radio, Bluetooth and SD card options. I am using a 32GB memory card and it shows all the various folders and songs. While the SD songs are being played, the name of the song shows.
The reason for only 4 stars is I wish the on/off was a button to press and the volume control would have up and down volume buttons. The on/off and volume control switch on the Boombyte is a little old fashioned.
For those who wish you could use Bluetooth headphones/earbuds, there is a way. I have 2 different sets of Bluetooth earbuds that paired easily and works with FM, Bluetooth and SD card.
I have no regrets having purchased the Boombyte speaker.

I was a little skeptical when I ordered this radio because of its size. However, I have been pleasantly surprised. It picks up all the local radio stations and the sound is crisp and clear. The buttons at the top let you program your stations.
Instruction-Operation manual provided was adequate.

This compact radio is awesome. The sound is crisp and full and it offers surprising volume for its size. Bluetooth connects effortlessly. The FM reception is clear without a cumbersome external antenna. Upon first turning it on, the device seeks out stations with clear reception. Of course, you can save 9 of your faves to the preset buttons. The mp3 functions are where this device is under-praised. Your music can be placed in folders and, through the settings menu, you can select a particular folder. You can then select if you want the play to be shuffled or repeated. Of course, all songs can also be shuffled while organized in folders. There is also a sleep timer function which can be set to activate every time you use the device or one time only. I did call customer service and they were very responsive and helpful. Once you familiarize yourself with the unit, use becomes very intuitive.

This is the great little player/speaker I've been looking for, excellent sound for its small size, very crisp vocals and decent bass at higher volumes, does a good job pulling in FM stations, I am in a town of about 350,000 and it picked up all the major stations with clarity, has nine station presets, a basic EQ (pop/rock/jazz, etc), Bluetooth paired easily with a Surfans digital music player, also has a usb port on back for cabled digital player connection, does not however, pair with Bluetooth headphones, wired headphones worked fine. DC power connection on back. Has a good clear but small LCD screen, control and screen menu buttons aren’t the most user-friendly, a center button with left right up down would have been better, but no big deal, will just be a matter of memorizing the button layout. The main reason I bought this was to play my many custom playlist folders from an SD card, which it does very well, something not mentioned in the advertising or instructions is that it “will” recognize separate folders on an SD card. It mentions that it will accept up to a 32GB SD card, however i have a 256GB card in mine that it accepted just fine and shows all folders and live shows on my card. I also love the large on/off volume knob that turns on and off with a satisfying click. Small gripe about the shuffle mode, it will shuffle songs from all folders not just the one you are in on the menu, so playing in order works best in each folder playlist. I’ve already tried it out at the beach. It fits nicely in an otter type box, which also holds my solar power bank battery to keep it charged. Internal battery lasted about 15 hours on a charge, better than I expected. Would definitely purchase again, love the portability and convenience, will probably be purchasing a few for music loving friends as a present..

This portable radio is perfect. I have used it in my garage as well as the beach. It is great for hooking up Bluetooth to as well. It comes with a little handheld strap for easy toting. The sound and quality is loud and clear.

I got this for radio use mostly and it doesn't do the job. Doesn't really work in the office, home or vehicle. I should've got one with an antenna.
For the price, it's soooo not worth it. Cost should be $20-$30. Was going to send it back but I'll use it for a bluetooth speaker or give it to my daughter.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND! If you want a Bluetooth speaker, get something else or if this goes on sale for $25, get it.

I really like this thing. I've collected small radios for years and this is one of my favorites. It's one of the very few that I own that is stereo, and it sounds good and reasonably loud for the size of the speakers. You can actually feel it thump when you're holding it.
This has a great build quality, and feels nice in your hands. I think it feels slightly rubberized. No rough molding defects to be found anywhere. It has a kind of rugged look to it I think. The only con I can think of might be the plastic over the speakers springs in a little if you press on them, so I don't press on them.
The display is easy enough to read, and the layout of the buttons is fine after getting used to it, and setting your favorite radio stations is easy after you've done it a time or two.
What is really surprising to me is how well this unit receives an FM signal. Even without an antenna I can pick up a couple dozen clear channels inside my house. Granted, most of these are fairly local. The scan feature helps you find new ones. Battery life is good too.
If you happen to be a fortunate soul who lives near a drive-in theatre with an fm transmitter, I can vouch that this radio is perfect for enjoying the movie sound.
I highly recommend this little gem.

A really cool looking Bluetooth speaker. Sound profile is a little suspect. Highs are very pronounced and mids are hidden behind that. Bass is pretty much non existent. Charged fast via USB-C and battery life is sufficient. The look is where this speaker shines. Portability is also nice. This speaker will fit in back packs and carry-ons very easily. Build quality seems very stout. This speaker has that cool rubber outer coating and should stand up to wear and tear. This is a pretty decent travel speaker. Speaker also features AM/FM receiver (who uses that now a days). I recommend.

I bought this speaker specifically to listen to audio on an SD card. Unfortunately every time I try to turn it off, it makes a high-pitch sound that just will not stop. After fiddling with it, I find that I need to switch to a different mode before turning it off. If you never use the SD card feature you might find that it works great otherwise. It's solidly built and the sound is great. Why buy just a bluetooth speaker when you can get one with radio as well?

Of the many small portable mono and stereo radios I've owned since the 60's this BoomByte has the best sound quality, battery life and function. I'm a simi audiophile who enjoys music almost anywhere, especially outdoors. My last small portable was a Melson S8 which had nice mono sound but finally died as the push buttons slowly became erratic. It's final demise was when it's old mini usb power connector broke off inside. I have others but their sound quality just doesn't cut it.
The reviews on this Avantree Boombyte intrigued me enough to buy and I'm not disappointed at all. For it's small handheld size it packs some quality stereo sound. It's not a funky loud boombox. It's a nice little handheld personal Stereo with just the right amount of mp3 information displayed on its small screen.
I couldn't find a user photo of the screen displaying the MicroSD MP3 info so I've included one here. Another must have for me is a good Random/Shuffle function. I only wish there was a dedicated button for it instead of having to open the menu and change selections with multiple choices. I arrange my favorite MP3's in alphabetic order by Artist name hyphen Song. When on my usual Random play and wish to hear another song from the same Artist I typically take it out of random then go back or forward to the Artist's song I wish to hear. A separate normal/random or programmable button would be fantastic. Frankly I would trade the FM button for it any day. Just have FM cycle through the "Mode" button. ex BT/FM/MP3 and make the dedicated FM button MP3 Random on/off!
Photo from top to bottom:
MicroSD symbol - Current song number with Total songs below - Random play
Folder - ROOT or other if split into folders.
Music Note Symbol - Scrolling file name left to right
Play/Pause Symbol - Current track time hyphen / Total track time
One final mention. If your songs, like mine, are generally at different volume levels causing a constant volume adjustment change between songs use a tool (program) such as freeware "MP3Gain" to equalize all of your music prior to copying to the microSD card. Speaking of, I'm using a Samsung 64GB exFAT card but have not tried over 32 GB of songs as I don't have that much in MP3. I also don't relish the though of re-ripping all of my CD's.
One last mention. The built-in lithium battery is amazing! 2-3 days for my playing needs. FWIW it does charge at 3.1A on my multi USB charger (usb3 to usb3) which displays current draw. I'm using a certified 1.5' USB 3.2 cable if that matters.
All in I'm thrilled with this little audio MP3 player. BT and FM which I rarely use work great also. The FM, with no external antenna autotunes fantastic in our rural location.
It's a little more expensive than some others but IMHO worth the difference in quality.
optimummind
This little speaker from Avantree is quite impressive. Despite its small size and low weight, the audio that comes out of it, including the bass, is pretty good. I'm no serious audiophile but I do know what sounds good and what sounds like crap as I own several multi-thousand soundbars from Samsung and Sony as well as some quality headphones such as the Bose Ultra noise-cancelling headphones.
I like having a portable speaker to play music when I'm doing tedious stuff like working on my car, doing housework, or gardening stuff. For that purpose, this speaker is perfect as the battery life is good and the audio quality, as I mentioned earlier, is very decent. I'm happy to have this.
5 stars.
Love the USA
I was a bit surprised when it arrived. It was much smaller in size than I thought it would be. It was, however, really well built so, I was hopeful.
It was 30% charged when it arrived so, first business of order, charge this up full. That took approximately 1.5 hours from 30% to full.
The sound on this is the real surprise. It sounds very well balanced between bass, mids and highs. Also, even at full volume, the speakers do not break up. I wouldn't recommend playing it at full volume for very long. It is not good for the speakers... or your ears.
The buttons are intuitive. There are 9 buttons so you can save your favorite stations.
Some other reviewers have said that they had a hard time finding FM stations with the internal antenna this unit has. I live in an area that has only decent reception from fairly limited stations, but, this unit picked up all the usual stations I receive, along with a bunch I don't usually get. Overall, I'm really impressed with this "little giant."

I'm using this Avantree Boombyte speaker exclusively in my garage for my workouts. I am replacing an old, cheap bluetooth speaker and the difference is incredible. This little speaker has tons of bass and a very full sound. Other speakers this size sound tinny with too much treble, but this speaker is really well rounded.
I set up the FM and the internal antenna worked well. I could hear my usual channels loud and clear. I haven't tested the SD card, but the bluetooth is effortless. I connected it to my iPhone and whenever I turn the speaker on it automatically connects in seconds. Highly recommend this little guy for a full sound in small spaces!

This little speaker is nice and built good it’s solid, the plastic material is made out of is good feels like a suede texture almost. The sound is good and loud for the size of the speaker it has a rear woofer thing it’s not a speaker but helps with the bass I forget what that’s called. It has a eq menu that makes a difference in sound in this speaker the fm radio works great good signal, the Bluetooth connects with ease. Overall I really like this speaker nice small size with big sound.
Jeannette Belliveau
This bluetooth speaker paired up pretty easily with my laptop, and soon I'll try it with my phone to play podcasts while I am working. It's not going to set the world on fire in terms of sound quality -- you'll have to pay more and get a beefier boombox for decent bass.
Another drawback for me is that the controls, being light gray on dark gray, are quite difficult for me to readily see with my vision problems. More contrast would be very helpful. Still, this is a decent little boombox with FM radio (so it may be something I can use to protect my chickens at night), BT and SD card inputs.
UPDATE: My MacBook Pro speakers have gone fuzzy, so now I'm using these speakers heavily while watching videos.

I would’ve NEVER figured this little speaker would put out the sound it does!! I mean loud! Clean! Crisp! Low! Mids! Full rich audio in stereo! This is definitely a gem! I’m still in shock! I have several BT Speakers! I love music and I love music that sounds dang good!! So for me to be impressed, you better believe it’s good! It has a couple pre-set EQ options you can select, they’re not the best EQ pre-sets. I’d prefer if there was an app and could adjust a4 band minimum myself. The “natural’ pre-set is selected and in my opinion is the best EQ. Now the downside…. The FM radio is a bit mehhh. Only because this speaker utilizes an internal antenna so reception and clarity of the FM station could be a pain to dial in. But I’m not one to listen to FM radio so that’s no issue. The Bluetooth is just what I prefer. You can also plug in with a 3.5mm for better audio! If you decide to get this, I hope you enjoy that first power up and hear the audio this little fella puts out!
