The product claims to have a Metal Locking Chuck and show images of it and how to use it.

The product manual has the following:

To install bits:

Pull the chuck sleeve away from the driver.

Push the bit into the chuck, release the chuck sleeve to lock bit into place.

It doesn't not have this feature. It's magnetic. NO Locking Chuck!

The product claims to have 44 Accessories. It does not.

Claims there are 8x Sockets. There were 0 as in none.

Claims there are 6x HSS Drill bits. There are 2.

Magnet falls out of extender

I love the drill but I’m returning because there’s a magnet in the extender that comes out when I remove the drill bit. I’m sure it will get lost and there’s only one. I’m thinking the unit I have may be defective maybe the magnet is supposed to stay in the extender ??? Hoping manufacturer will respond to this before I return the unit

Terrible design

Its design Is horrendous: the enclosed bits just drop in too far in to be usable. They expect you to always use the enclosed extension to use these bits. And worse, the switch to reverse the direction is located right where your grip is. You keep changing its direction unintentionally.

Screw bits too small to be be useful.

Screw bits sit too deep in the chuck. You loose half the the screw length and there isn't much length to begin with. Only good for the few drill bits included.

Good for small projects but not durable. Has issues. Just buy a cordless drill instead.

I got this as a Christmas present last year; I have an Avid Power rotary tool that I use for hobby & crafting and its very nice so I went with the same brand for the cordless electric screwdriver I was looking for. I got this just in time to move into our new house so I put this tool to use quite a bit. I used it to mount shelves, hang signs, put together furniture, and more. Its very easy to use, charges via USB-C quickly, and has the basics you need for most home repair & installation needs.

At some point a few months in, the smallest two drill bits broke. Understandable as I used them a decent amount. But the problem is that you can't just replace the bits like on a normal drill; they have a special attachment on them that fits into the bit holder. So no more drilling small holes for me with this tool. The screwdriver bits also don't like to sit too tightly in the case so they fall out CONSTANTLY; I've lost 1 or 2 of them at this point as the case fell off a table and popped open, sending the bits everywhere. The case doesn't stay tightly shut and the tools are very loose inside the holders. The biggest issue I have though is that the holder or chuck or whatever its called no longer grips the attachments tightly; I believe it got worn down from regular use and now the edges of the hex-shaped holder are rounded down and won't grip onto the attachment bits. So while some of the drill bits and whatnot still work, they CONSTANTLY get pulled out of the tool and stick into the wall, stick onto the screw I'm tightening, or just fall out if you jostle it around.

I cannot recommend this product due to several issues I have with it, mainly that most of the parts it uses are not replaceable if something breaks. Drill bits break, screwdriver bits get lost...this product uses parts with a special adapter on the bottom to fit into the head of the tool so you can't just get new bits if they get lost or break. The bits themselves are also not magnetic so they tend to fall out or get stuck in the wall/hardware constantly, ESPECIALLY after using this for a while and the inner workings have worn down to no longer grip that "special attachment" bottom. Honestly, you're probably better off just buying a cordless drill that has screwdriver attachments: it will be the same price or maybe $10-20 more for a big brand name with a good warranty. This product needs to be better.

Compact Kit With Good Power

I picked up this electric screwdriver because I wanted a compact kit to keep upstairs for quick projects without having to run down to the garage every time. I have been using it for about three weeks and it has already been through a variety of tasks. I used it to remove and install handles on all of my kitchen cabinets and drawers (wicked time saver), and I also used it for drilling when I needed to deepen a few recessed screw holes. Some of the replacement screws were not long enough without that adjustment, so having the drill function on hand was helpful. I have also used the sockets to tighten longer bolts while assembling two snow shovels.

Setup was intuitive and the case and accessories are laid out well. I really like that the handle can switch between a gun style grip and a straight stick. Charging was quick and painless.

In use, the tool fits nicely in my hand and feels balanced. The built-in light has been useful when working inside darker drawers and cabinets, and I appreciate having multiple torque settings to avoid overtightening and stripping screws. One drawback is that I occasionally hit the direction switch by accident while using it. I also noticed that the bits can sometimes stick in the screws when pulling the tool away. I wish the magnetic connection in the bit holder was a little stronger so it would prevent that.

Overall, this is a convenient and capable little tool for everyday home projects, especially for anyone who wants something small but useful close at hand.

Product does not work. I charged it with the given charger and all the lights are on and the product does not work at all.

Easy to use

I recently purchased the AVID POWER Electric Screwdriver Set, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Torque Setting dosent work

I got it for the torque setting but it doesn't work not releasing enough to not break screws or strip them out

Lightweight, light duty

I ordered this to help switch out the hardware on my kitchen cabinets. It is lightweight and was much easier to handle than my husband's heavy power tools, but had low power. I am confused about the contents vs instructions. The instructions say this screwdriver is not to be used as a drill......but comes with 6 drill bits and a drill setting.

Love the color and it works!

I love how i can change the position/angle of the screwdriver to straight. I attempted to drill holes and so far it has worked out well. For the price, no regrets.

U pay for what u get

We purchased it for light inside house work. Here are the issues:

1- see pic of what their Manuel says “ not designed to be used as a drill”. I cannot imagine using this on bolts.

2- charged it for 10 hours and within 2 min it lost 30% of its power.

3- see pic of drill bit attached to drill. You have only about 3/8ths clearance from drill to screw. Plus if you have big fingers forget about getting the bit out easy.

4- the screw drivers bits are small in length.

Net net, if you need something light weight and not needed for heavy duty jobs that will not need more than 3 min of power an effective tool. Due to our age we’ll keep it but would not recommend as it clearly is not even meant for the drill, & socket set it comes with.

I really needed some tools, at first I was skeptical due to the size of some tool boxes. This is better than I expected the size is perfect you can carry it anywhere and is not heavy! So far it has stayed with some charge through out the projects I’ve done at home.

A very nice power screwdriver, but with one design flaw

I had high hopes for this power screwdriver. It has a torque setting, which is very unusual for this low price point. It appears to be a nice design, and the kit comes with a huge supply and variety of driver bits.

I would have loved to give this driver a 5-star review. Unfortunately, I can't, and it's because of a pretty significant usability design flaw.

The direction control switch (circled in yellow) is in a bad location, especially when used in the "bent" configuration. The base of my forefinger keeps accidentally pressing the switch when I am squeezing the trigger to engage the screwdriver. When the direction control switch is in the center position, the screwdriver shuts off. The positioning of the switch results in frequent accidental shut-downs of the screwdriver when I am using it.

This is less of an issue when the screwdriver is in the "straight" configuration, but it still reduces the usability of the driver.

I will still keep the screwdriver, but I have to be more observant of how I use it.

Easy to use

Look Im not handy and I’m a single woman living alone and little things need to be taken care of. This has turned me into a handy man. It’s great for beginners and it holds a battery good. Highly recommend! I put Together pots and pans with it and my ring doorbell and a table and my shower caddy. Love it

Light Weight

The older I get, the more physically challenging it is to continuously turn a screw in a wall and/or wood with a standard screwdriver, and the weighty power drills are often too heavy to use for an extended period of time. The Avid power electric screwdriver appeared to be a possible solution; and it certainly was.

The Avid electric screwdriver fitted snuggly in my small hand, and operation and charging of the screwdriver were effortless. The best feature for me was the automatic light source that is projected in the area of work when you trigger the handle to start. Since my aging eyes have gone beyond reading glasses, the light feature was an added bonus. Moreover, I can change the position of the screwdriver's handle to angle it at an optimal position while in use (pistol grip or straight).

The Avid screwdriver was packaged in its own carrying case and came with all the accessories I think I will ever need. No more searching around the basement or garage for the screwdriver and then searching for the accessory case that held the bits. This screwdriver ensemble holds everything in one case, including the USB cord.

I highly recommend the Avid screwdriver set and shipping of the case was as expected.

No Power

This electric screwdriver is rechargeable. They only included the cable, but it requires a power adapted which is not included not sure how they expected us to charge this screwdriver without the power adapter. The screwdriver lets the user choose between two different positions for using this product. They have included a storage case with 28 pieces bits and six drill bits, and eight sockets. The case is nice for storage, but it is not easy to get bits in or out. The battery is only 4 volts, so it's only suitable for a smaller project. If you're thinking about building a deck, this won't do the job. After using this product, I noticed that the power is weak and not robust enough for me. This product doesn't have enough torque is very weak.

Handy and portable

This is a good little driver. It is light and portable. Power is not what you would expect from a full size cordless drill, but it is certainly good for the size and weight. It also comes with a nice selection of bits and a plastic carrying case. Overall, good product.

No power drill

Overall I like this set. It arrived almost fully charged and ready to go. The drill was easy to use however I couldn’t help but to notice that some of the smaller parts was falling out of its place inside of toolbox. The drill itself lacked power which also led me to being disappointed.

An average screwdriver

While this kit comes with drill bits, the speed is too slow to do any effective drilling. I used it to drill a hole in my wall, into a stud, to attach a wall hook, and it took far longer than it should have. I had several holes to make, and I eventually just went and got my Milwaukee drill/driver and completed the task in about 1/4 of the time. Now, if this power screwdriver is all you have, then yes it will work, but it is not ideal.

Furthermore, as you can see in the attached photo , the quality of the drill bits is not very good with one of the bits actually bent. As far as use as a screwdriver goes, however, this is handy and I would say this thing is best suited to being used only as a small jobs power screwdriver. It comes with a great selection of screwdriver bits, and the sockets are handy for bolts that are easily threaded into. This is NOT a drill/driver and therefore won't be very effective at driving a lag screw into anything, but for simple assembly tasks with low resistance, this will save your forearm.

Lastly, another reason for the 2-star rating is that the torque/resistance adjustment ring on the front of the gun doesn't seem to do anything. I varied it from 1 to 5 as I used the gun to screw into wood, and the operation of the gun never changed.

There is only one speed (see my attached video) as well. If this screwdriver came with two speeds (current speed as well as a "fast" speed), then this would have increased the star rating, as it is this gun only warrants 2-stars.

Everything you need

Very happy with this complete screwdriver/drill kit. It comes with a USB charger and carrying case for everything. This is exactly what I needed, all priced under $30. Very pleased with this set.

Quality Product!

Easy to use and well organized in its plastic case. Plenty of power for a reasonable proce and can handle most hosehold tasks. Look forward to purchasing more Avid Power tools!
