Best IEMs I’ve gotten!

I’ve been using these in-ear monitors for a while now, and they’ve exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is clear and well-balanced, with detailed mids, and a solid low end without sounding muddy. They fit comfortably in my ears, even during long practice sessions and live performances, and the passive noise isolation is excellent!!

The build quality also feels durable and premium, giving me confidence they’ll last with regular use. One thing I really appreciate is how easy it is to hear every instrument and vocal clearly in the mix, making performances much more enjoyable and consistent…

Overall, these IEMs offer outstanding value for the price and perform much better than I expected!!

I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable in-ear monitors for live music, rehearsals, recording, or even everyday listening. They’re a great investment and have become an essential part of my setup.

These IEMs Made Me Rethink My Entire Mix—and My Life Choices

IEMs are usually hit-or-miss. These? These were a roundhouse kick to my expectations.

The BASN ASONE in-ears didn’t just sound good—they made me question whether I had been recording inside a cardboard box this whole time.

Sound:

• Bass: Deep. Tight. Hits harder than my favorite drummer’s ego.

• Mids: Smooth like they went to therapy.

• Highs: Clear enough to reveal secrets I didn’t want to hear in my own playing.

Comfort & Fit:

They come with more ear tips than a YouTube comments section. One of them fit like it knew me. I forgot they were even in—until I sneezed and heard it in 4K.

Durability:

The cable feels like it could tow a small car. The case? Let’s just say if my gear bag fell off a cliff, I’m diving for this first.

Bottom Line:

Whether you’re recording, performing, or just want to hear your favorite song like it was mixed by wizards—these IEMs are the real deal. BASN didn’t just make monitors, they made a personality trait.

Highly recommend. 10/10 would buy again, but I won’t have to—because they’re built like they mean it

Incredible when driven properly

Bought these and tried then with an iFi go for portability. The sound was thin and tiring. In comparison my pair of KZ ZS10 sounded better even straight out of an iPhone. Decided to give them another chance and tried them with a Woo Audio WA6 desktop tube amp that I use for over the ear headphones. The experience was completely different. These IEMs when properly driven sound warm, detailed and powerful. Soundstage is good and treble isn’t harsh at all with a good tube amp. In the end, these didn’t fit my needs for a portable IEM but have instead become one of my staples when listening at home. With the proper setup, these are a steal and I would recommend them for anyone looking for a great sounding affordable but not cheaply made pair of IEMs.

Please note not every tube amp is fit to use with IEMs, and not every IEM responds well to tube amps. Please check the specs before testing.

Amazing professional inEar phones !!!!

The in-ear headphones are amazing! Very comfortable, good fit in the ear, perfect size! As for the sound, I wasn't really prepared for the sound quality it shows! Deep, punchy bass, clear mids and bright highs absolutely complete each other! An incredible acquisition for the stages, concerts, and tv shows that I perform. Extremely satisfied with the quality and technology presented!

First pair of IEM, but these are great in my opinion

I've been interested in getting a pair of IEM for a while now. I'm a drummer and prefer earbuds to over ear headphones. However they can be expensive and hadn't found a pair of budget ones that seemed worth the price. I tried these out and was really impressed from the moment they arrived.

They are packaged nice and are in a solid metal case that will keep them safe. I was really impressed immediately when I looked inside. They have a bunch of different earbud types and the instructions are great. The cable seems strong and durable and there are two of them which is a plus. Comes with everything you need.

Finally, the sound is great. Definitely a step up from simple earbuds that I've used and they are very comfortable. They definitely don't start to sneak out of my ears either. I didn't have to adjust them at all once they were in. I play hard and these have yet to come loose. I really love them - total score!

Great quality monitoring!

I wish I could award this product 4.5 stars, but that wasn't an option.

These are well-made, and beautifully packaged, but it was very frustrating for an individual with old eyes to struggle through the instructions and assembly of these IEMs. PLEASE color-code in the future, BASN, and avoid using such microscopic type in your manuals!

On the bright side, these monitors include TWO sets of cables...one normal, and one with built-in microphone with volume controls. The cables themselves are beautifully constructed, with a durable finish on the stranded wires. The connectors are tiny, but easy to install, with a nice CLICK when fully seated. A plastic removal tool is also provided, along with extra ear buds of various sizes and materials. A lavalier clip is also provided for cable management.

In terms of performance, they deliver a beautiful sound while doing a very good job of blocking out extraneous noises. I also found them extremely comfortable to wear, which is vital when spending hour upon hour in front of the microphone. These will be in use daily as I record audiobook narrations!

Great Sound - Professional Quality

I'm a professional musician and have been using in-ear monitors for over eight years. My system is a Sennheiser 300 IEM G3 paired with a set of Shure SE215s. It's a fantastic system and sounds great, but my SE215s are showing their age. I'd been looking at options for replacing them, when I had the opportunity to try these BASN units. I'll be honest, I'm not very familiar with BASN. But I have to say, these IEMs have impressed me.

The very first thing that struck me was how nice these things are packaged. The whole product has a professional sheen. The included case is really nice and includes every accessory you'll need. The IEMs include two interchangeable cables, one standard professional version, and one that includes a built-in microphone and transport controls. While I'll likely never use the phone version, it's nice that it's included.

The earbuds themselves are comfortable and fairly easy to wear. They come with several sizes of buds. The shells are a bit bigger and more noticeable than my old ones, but this doesn't bother me. The cable is of a sufficient length, but not overly long, and is very pliable. It has a feeling of quality.

Sound is a highly subjective thing, but to my ears, these sound very good. I think they sound better than the SE215s. The frequency range seems full and fairly even. They have good bass response without unnaturally coloring the sound. The sound is nicely balanced and pleasing to the ear.

I've used these at a few gigs now, and they've worked great. No problems at all. I've really enjoyed the sound quality. If there's a con, I'd say that they're not quite as good at attenuating noise as some other IEMs (but not bad, either). They're also fairly sensitive to positioning. That is to say, it might take a little experimenting to discover the best position in your own ears. Once properly seated, however, they sound great and feel comfortable. What more could I ask for?

Whether you intend to use these professionally, or just for listening enjoyment, I don't think you can go much wrong here. The BASN IEMs are true contenders.

Wow! I'm Impressed with the Sound Quality.

UPDATE: Two (2) years in with these and I am still happy with them. Purchased in late 2022, and still going strong in Jan. 2025. My only complaint so far is that in dark stage lighting situations, it is difficult to see the find print L / R markings on the cables and ear pieces. Color coding would have been a much better way for the manufacturer to go here, but some red fingernail polish is a quick way to mark that R channel.

Let me start by saying I have been using IEMs for five years now. I'm a bass player - 5 string, and I go to that low B (and C, C#, D, D#) often. I play weekly in my church's worship band and we exclusively use IEMs. I also frequently wear IEMs when I practice at home (and I spend hours every week practicing).

I own three different models of a big name brand I'm SURE you heard of. I use the 8-driver "pro" model of the latter, and get really good results that I have been happy with for a while now. All that being said . . .

These BASN planar IEMs have just impressed me. Clarity, sound stage . . . its all top quality IMO. Planar drivers are know for having less distortion than dynamic drivers. I would say these definitely have less distortion than any other IEM I have.

And to top it off, these come with quality packaging, a very nice hardshell carry case, two (2) cables (one standard and one with a built-in microphone), three different sizes of foam tips, three sizes of flanged silicon tips, and two sizes of standard silicone tips, a 3.5mm to 6.35mm (1/4-inch) adapter, a brush/cleaner tool, and a tool to more easily remove the tips.

The frequency range of these is fairly well balanced after a short (about an hour) break-in period. And for the record, you need to break these (and any other IEMs) in before evaluating them. I only did about an hour on these before writing this review, but I noticed a definite improvement in what could initially be considered a harsh sounding first listen (rock music - Rush, Envy of None, Stir, and some contemporary worship music). I am confident that after a few more hours of breaking in, these will really smooth out.

Even early on, though, I was impressed by the clarity and quality of sound. These are by far the best sounding IEMs that I now own. The one thing I will note is that many listeners may want to use an equalizer (EQ) to boost the bass frequencies just a bit. Most phones have multiple settings, most modern sound consoles allow EQ to be applied to monitor send channels, and most computers these days have EQ settings that can be adjusted, so this should be easy to do to get you to where you are happy with the mix.

The one caveat I will give is that these will not vibrate your brain with excessive bass response. These might not be ideal for drummers who can't get EQ help from the console operator to get the low end boosted in their IEM/monitor mix.

I think these are a great IEM option for vocalists, guitarists, keyboard players, and probably many bass players. These IEMs would be great for listening to most types of music, but note again that you might want to engage an EQ (boost the bass) if you listen to bass-heavy music.

And like I said above, be sure to burn them in (break them in) for a few hours before really judging them. A lot of audiophiles recommend using pink noise to do burn in. (but not while you have the things in your ears!!)

One other note that I have to add because I see so many IEM reviews saying "there was no bass" or "they fell out of my ears" or "they hurt my ears". Generally speaking, if there is no bass, then you probably do not have a tight seal in the ear canal. Try different tip types and sizes. If the IEM falls out or your ear starts hurting after wearing them for a while, try different tip types and sizes. And realize that your ear canals are not identical. For instance, I use the foam tips and need a small in one side and a medium on the other. Large is not a comfortable option for either of my ears. I also find that I get a much better, more consistent seal using the foam tips instead of silicone. The second-best option IMO is the flanged tips.

One last piece of advice - Keep your ears clean. Clean out the excess wax before sticking IEMs into your ear canals. (see an ENT specialist if you are not comfortable doing this yourself) All that yucky ear wax will clog up an IEM quickly and you won't be able to hear much because the wax will block the sound. But on the bright side, these IEMs come with a tool that can get some of the wax out of the IEM (but don't use that tool on yourself!!)

Grab a pair of these. You ears will thank you.
