A good sounding pedal.

I think that for the price this a great pedal for the genre it is intended to be used. I didn't give it 5 stars because it is made of plastic and might not hold up to rigorous gigging, but it will work great in my home studio for recording and practice and will probably out last me. The plastic is heavy duty so it's not delicate, but things get dropped a lot during setup and tear down at gigs and I'm not sure how it would hold up to rough use. For the price it would kill you to try it out.

It’s working ,my apologies to Behringer for my previous one star rating

With stereo cable device not working ,use normal mono cable and will work.

Hope Behringer will update instructions will this note to avoid opening brand new device…

Heavy Metal sound for affordable price.

Check daily. They can be found.

Yes ,its ultra metal. Over the top distortion. The color is not as shown. Actually more of a burgundy.

Sick Metal Pedal

I have alot of cheaper distortion and effects pedals and I end up going to this one most often even over some better quality more known ones. Has a great assortment of knobs and options. Crank high frequency and the mids and get a crazy metal sound. Or you can turn down the distortion and frequency knobs and get a cool high gain effect. Love it. I have a few Behringer pedals, the casings are definitely cheap but the sounds are awesome.

LASTED 4 YEARS SO FAR

I've had this since October of 2014 when i was 14 years old. And it's lasted that entire time. I like to play metalcore and deathmetal songs and when I've jammed with friends it is very loud and very thick. My only complain is that pressing it feels like it lags and doesn't feel smooth. But you just have to press it hard and press it focused. Maybe that;s how the other pedals are idk. 10/10 would recommend.

Love me some Behringer!

I absolutely love this pedal. Similar products go for well over $100 and don't offer the range of adjustability as this pedal has. I couldn't believe how much sound this puts out and how well it works. I now have 3 Behringer pedals. You absolutely cannot beat the value for. The price.

Metal for $25? Yes! I was having bad noise issues but by turning the gain to the middle I ended up with a great tone with almost no noise. Great purchase.

Response to Jack Jones and A.J. Gardin

Always remember to register your pedal's warranty. I have had the um300 for a few years now. For more than 2 of those years, it hasn't worked. To Jack Jones: removing the front cover is easier than removing some back plates. It just requires a pen or anything skinny enough to press in the hinges. To A.J. Gardin: I have the same problem. The pedal won't turn on anymore, even with a battery, plugged into the amp while on. I once counted over 100 clicks before the LED and pedal came on, but that was a long time ago. There's a video on fixing a MXR Phase 90 that showed a fix by replacing a signal diode that was overheated by too large of a power supply. I didn't use anything bigger than 9V so I'm still going to try it because it'll be cheaper than buying another pedal. Good luck to you all and good jammin
