He loves it. And it’s a good set without costing thousands. I gave it a 4 star because some of the pieces were a little bent but I was able to make it work, and there’s a certain part in the directions were it got very confusing for me and took way longer than expected on that part of the drum.

Should rename brand to Worst Choice Products.

Bought my son this drum set. Put it together today for Christmas. All of the metal is scratched and scuffed up, the drum skins are falling off (it’s thin, paper BS), and one of the drums (floor tom) is missing an entire bracket.

I’m a drummer. I expected a cheap set for my son. But this isn’t cheap - this is defective. On top of that, the cymbals don’t sound like discount cymbals - they sound like breaking glass plates against each other.

Decent

First of all, NO INSTRUCTIONS! I got instructions for an entirely different drum kit, a kid sized one, so I had to put it together myself with zero experience, but I did it.

Replace the heads, and get some real cymbals, and this is a decent drum kit.

Easy to put together and sounds great for a new young drummer!

Assembly of drum set

Easy to assemble , just follow instructions carefully

A few of the small white washers were missing but we just didn't use them on small drums

Very nice quality for beginners, easy instructions, everything to put together is included.

Damaged Product

The set is good for a beginner. We had several damaged pieces. The box was not damaged, therefore, it came from the company damaged. One of the batter heads had several dents in it and the ring that holds the batter head on was bent.

Not terrible for a first drum kit at all. Here’s a tip, put an old pillow in the bass drum. Sounds a thousand times better. The ride and hi hat are not super high quality (obviously) but the thing is you can replace these later as you get better. I think EVERYONE is in a budget these days, so this set is a pretty good value… you’ll want to experiment with tuning heads after assembly, but no matter what, if you’re a beginner you’ll be satisfied. Throne is ok, snare comes completely assembled, the bass pedal and hat pedal are assembled (mostly).

Looks great, just basic gloss black. Assembly instructions aren’t super clear, so I Mistakenly put the skins on the bass drum backwards, the “feet” of the drum should be in the front! The kick pedal doesn’t really clamp on super tight to the drum either but it’s good enough.

I recommend buying this. Have some fun. Get the basics down, watch tutorials, and then replace a few things and add on whenever you see fit.

The box is not enormous either, it easily fit in my Mini Cooper (the small one, Not the Countryman) with the seats folded down! Packaged pretty well too.

Actually, one thing really bugs me about this…

NEEDS MORE COWBELL! 😂 hahaha

Beginner but missing pieces

Perfectly fine as a cheap beginner set for my nephews. First thing he asked, “Why don’t my cymbals sound like the ones in the video?” I told him, “Because this set doesn’t cost $10k ;)” Three stars for missing washers which were surprisingly difficult to find in the right size.

Absolutely perfect

Great and easy to assemble

Came with broken pieces. High hat useless. Waiting on seller to make right. We shall see.

I actually didn't order a beginners set but apparently it is as in assembly book. Kinda disappointing. Snare drum crap. Resonates when hitting bass and tom toms

Christmas Drum set

Nice beginners set. I switch out the Cymbals with some Meinl’s cymbals. The only real issue I have is that the Foot Pedal is not the one advertised. And two of the screws would not go in completely.

It works, but broke

After opening the box we saw dents in the drums, and a dents in the one cymbal

As well as after putting the whole set together we moved the Tom Tom drum to finish putting the rest of it together to the side and the stand holder cracked and then broke off. Now the Tom Tom drum need to be held up to be played

Cheap kit with great potential

Bought this kit a year ago and I decided to write a review on it now just to show anyone interested in this item that it has slot more potential than the picture shows. I've upgraded the drum heads to Remo ambassador heads which sound amazing. I'd recommend putting pillows in the floor Tom the rack Tom and the kick drum to muffle the overtone as well as a few pieces of duct tape on the heads. I've replaced the snare with a dw steel snare which sounds really good with this kit. I would recommend you get better hardware as well such as a better hi hat stand, cymbal stands and snare stand. The chair was really cheap and broke a little while after I got it but whatever. I've upgraded my cymbals to A custom master sound hi hats with a dw 3000 series hi hat stand, an A custom 18" fast crash, A custom 20" ride, aax 16" v-crash and a lovely K custom 20" ride that I picked up upon my travel to New York. I'd definitely recommend this kit for a beginner. This way you'll be able to build on it and when your ready, buy new quality shell kit. Hope this review helped!

Very disappointed.

Dissapointed. Got this for my 7 year old for Christmas. By Valentine's Day the cymbal had cracked, things were falling apart and he was so frustrated. This is not durable at all.

Great set for the price!

We purchased this set as a Christmas present for our 12-year-old son who started band this year. He has Down syndrome, yet we realized at the first band concert, he is amazingly talented when it comes to percussion instruments. Honestly, the kid has been "drumming" on pots, pans and bowls since he could hold a wooden spoon. By now, I should have guessed he has a bit of a gift. Derp!

Well, now, about the drums. For an inexpensive set, these totally rock (no pun intended...well, maybe). They are a solid set that are easily tuned, and easily adjusted to the drummer's playing style, height, reach, and abilities.

The box in which they arrive is a "team lift" effort (according to the side sticker on the box). Thus, I recommend you do with this a partner.

Also, I understand that this product now contains with the assembly instructions. We didn't have this option and had to rely on YouTube videos, and eventually emailed the seller for a .pdf copy. All in all, we managed to put them together, and adjust them to our son's playing style.

Other than the lack of assembly instructions, I have one complaint. The drumsticks are great for an occasional drummer, but not anyone who plays vigilantly, or aggressively. In other words, plan on buying a more quality set when you purchase these drums.

Still, for the price, you will be hard-pressed to find a drum set that can be used by kids and adults alike as well as this one.
