Very high quality... does confernece rooms well
My pros:
Excellent video quality overall (sharp, clear, works good on all video conferencing systems I've tried it on)
Microphone is clear in a conference room, good noise reduction happening inside device somehow
Good build quality, attractive, well made
Attractive all in one device - easy for anyone to use
Works great in Windows and linux
listed as a "Boom" device in Windows and Linux (not just "usb" something or other as many are)
Volume is good - even in a larger room
Negatives for me:
Overpriced... no question
Not only is the USB connection on the bottom custom, it's rockin' old school mini USB not even micro usb (c'on Boom, you're charging over $300... move to USB-C for crying out loud)
Boom should offer easy to find and use software to control the crazy wide angle of the lens. Great in a big conference room with everyone far away from the device, but bad in a smaller setting (very distorted)
Would lover more control over tilt and pan on the device - range of tilt is so small I wonder why they even included it?
Overall, I'm happy with it. It is superior to most other similar devices out there. Some serious R&D has been put into the camera and microphone to give you a very good commercial grade quality here.
