Excellent portable speaker, my purchase was August 26, 2018, as of today (May 02, 2021) it works as the first day and the battery has not lowered the performance, the audio is very clear, I just feel that for the price it should have more bass more powerful.

It should not take 30 tries and 30 minutes to get the bluetooth connected

You get the normal bose assistant speech output like their QC 25 and 35 headphones, but unlike the headphones there's NO BASS WHATSOEVER. I suppose this is great if you need something for spoken word or something with a lot of high and midrange, but if you're expecting anything below 60hz to be audible, you're out of luck. I thought my equalizer settings were off, I had to double check. I remember buying a POS bluetooth speaker for $10. Was this better? ... anyway,
The bluetooth took some work too. I tried connecting like regular and it wouldn't do it. One phone said "app is required to connect" which if that was the case I wouldn't pay half of what this cost. Wait, so no app? What? I hovered my phone over the top of it like I'm getting on the bus and "beep" it connected. So I connected it without the app. So what was all that ... what ... uh .. ok? I guess? And then I found out how this thing sounds.

Sound is great, my granddaughter and I listen Christmas music getting in the spirit.

Who needs big speakers for my bluetooth turntable when I can tote this little powerhouse around my house and yard?

I had ordered a New Bose Bluetooth speaker. When I went to register my speaker, as you can see above, I was sold a used, refurbished speaker. Every speaker I have purchased has had some problems. I will again need to send my product back.

I have owned one of these for over a year and i also own a sony wireless surround sound system that costed around 1000$, and im now selling the surround sound system, because this thing can outperform it by a HUGE margin. It's absolutely incredibly, this thing with its 360 degree sound fills the entire room and sounds the exact same no matter where you are located in relation to the speaker. You can rotate the speaker in front of you just 3 inches away and it will sound the same no matter which way you turn it. It looks sleek in design and fits well in a home setting, looking like a vase, similar to the google smart home assistant. Bottom line though, this product will take your favorite songs and deliver them to you in such a crisp, clean, perfect, mind blowing wave that will fill you with emotion and make you experience the song in the way the musicians intended when they made the song. Honestly, musicians use high quality sound recording equipment to make their music in order to make it as crisp as possible because they want us hear it the way they do, its only natural to return the favor by using high quality equipment to listen to it in the best possible way. You will ABSOLUTELY not be disappointed with this product. As far as it turning on randomly, as of right now at the time of this writing, it will only turn itself on when it is in the off position and you actively try to connect to it via bluetooth. So if its off and i use my phone to connect to it specifically through my settings, it will turn itself on to connect itself without you having to press the button. Before hand what it would do is turn on whenever there was a device nearby that had bluetooth on and had connected to it before where it was saved in that device. So if my phone had bluetooth on at all and the speaker was in range, it would turn on and connect regardless of what you press. This has since been fixed and it does not do that anymore. It will only turn on if you press the button or actively connect to it from your device within your bluetooth settings.

Great sound, battery life is best I’ve had in a portable speaker. Absolutely recommend. Hope they upgrade the app to allow adjustments to bass/Treble/mid-range. The sound is excellent regardless.

Initially I tried out the Bose Revolve+ and found myself thoroughly disappointed. Sound was good, bass was mediocre but it didn't get very loud. The Revolve+ has great battery life however. Not to mention the $299 price point - unfortunately my expectations were not met.
Soon after I stumbled upon the Bose Portable Home Speaker, just released in Sept of 2019. It was only $50 more than the Revolve+ so I picked one up. The difference was immediate and clear - this was the sound I was looking for! Compared to the Bose Portable Home Speaker, the Revolve+ bass is almost nonexistent.
I believe Bose crammed an additional passive radiator into this speaker, for a total of three whereas the Revolve+ only has two. The difference is substantial. Needless to say I returned the Revolve+ and couldn't be happier with the BPH.
My main complaint is the inability to have 2 devices paired up simultaneously. The speaker is advertised with this capability, yet whoever wants to pair up needs to have the Bose Music app installed on their phone, and even then, one of the devices is getting disconnected/booted before the other one can play. It's not very intuitive, however I feel an update could easily solve this issue.
Secondly, there's no Google Play support as of yet. I find this mind boggling considering Spotify, Prime Music, Pandora, iHeart, Deezer, TuneIn and Sirius are all supported! Please Bose, tighten up and add Google Play support ASAP.

Connected it as the speaker for my Alexa; for an average ‘Sound Hound’ the sound is simply fantastic and so convenient to tote it nearby. As soon as I set it up my dog, Evie (a real Sound Hound, who sings along) planted herself nearby to enjoy the music.

Best product. So easy to use. So versatile. Just need to figure out how to connect it to my old receiver for movies on the back garden garage wall!
Love!

Sounds awesome, versatile, great battery life. Day 5 of a multi-family vacation at OBX, still going strong and everybody loves it. Although I’m getting tired of being DJ, but that’s my problem not yours :-)

It came with a generic white cord and black charger White generic box. Seller has the nerve to rate it as very good. You are better off buying a brand new one than this one .

Just what like I expected from Boss! This is my first Bose product, and I think I am already hooked! Plays nice with rich bass! It fills up my room of about 20x20 easily. Using it with google home and also to play music from my iPhone. Connected easily and took very little time. I purchased it with a charging cradle, which is convenient but not necessary to purchase with this speaker, as it comes with a charging cable. About twice in size as of a medium size coffee mug. Sleek and charming!

Cant go wrong w/ BOSE. Family loves the sound anywhere..

It's Bose so you won't be shocked to learn that the sound quality is impeccable. It's about as large and heavy as a 32 oz water bottle so it's not something that you can just clip to a loop on your daypack but you can definitely put it in a side pouch on a backpack for short to medium day hikes if you like a soundtrack.
The battery lasts a REALLY long time, which is a huge plus considering how much sound these things put out. It's nice that you can just drop it on the cradle and the music keeps playing.
Definitely a solid table speaker for most small to medium sized gatherings.
In my opinion, it's worth the money.

After using the newest Bose Soundlink for about 6 months and have a solid grasp of its capabilities I can honestly say it has a few good features such as being quite durable and waterproof.
Sadly thats all the good I have to say about this speaker, as its primary function sucks. It cant play for 1 min without cutting out and garbeling the sound. The bluetooth connection on this device is shotty at best which makes using this Bose speaker painful.

Accidentally, I pick up the speaker when it is playing one of my favors songs. OMG, what a difference! The singer's voice is more apparent; the base is smoother. I find out the speaker's sound is the best when it is four inches from the desk. So I put it on my headphone stand. Even though it only lifts up by two and a haft inches. But the sound is much better (personal opinion).
Bose: Make a speaker hanging stand for us!

Bose Resolve +
I wanted to test this bluetooth (BT) speaker out to see if it was everything the reviews say it was before purchase......
The local store had it setup to play their music, but I wanted to play my music from my iPhone 7 to see what I would actually be experiencing.
No idea how to link to it but within 1-minute in the store I had it playing music from my iPhone......very easy to setup and sounded fantastic.
I even left it playing in the store and walked several isles away to check out the connection, not a blip.
I was not disappointed when I received it.
The sound is amazing from a small BT speaker.......very crisp with nice solid bass from a small speaker.
Tons of volume to spare......great output.
Very pleased with it......I highly recommend this product.
Never been a huge Bose fan, but they did this speaker right and I'm proud to be a very satisfied owner of the Resolve +

The Bose Revolve + is a great speaker overall but a bit on the pricey side.
Here’s my review –
Packaging – Beautiful, simple, elegant and slick. I have a special place in my heart for opening electronics, and the Bose Revolve + did not disappoint. No wasted space here and very well protected.
Sound – While you won’t achieve the quality of some of a higher end wired speaker, this Bluetooth beast packs a punch. The bass is very noticeable and can even rattle the table it’s sitting on with some songs. Treble and mids are very clean. I’ve tested this speaker on everything from Hip Hop to classical and it never disappoints. The 360-degree sound is truly phenomenal.
Aesthetics – I have the black version of the speaker and it is simply stunning. The buttons are solid feeling, it has a good weight to it overall and the handle is very solid. Nothing but the best from Bose.
Functionality – This is where the speaker loses a star for me. It’s not a huge deal but I was disappointed that the speaker came fully discharged and there was no indication that a complete charging cycle was needed before the first use. I know this seems petty but it almost made me feel as though I received a defective unit as the Bluetooth connection dropped multiple times and was even rendered completely useless at one point even though it was plugged into the wall. After 30-40 minutes of frustration, I decided to leave the speaker charging and actually open the instruction manual. (Something I never do, LOL) The quick start guide simply stated to choose the language, pair and listen. While it instructed you to plug it in, it never said to let it charge for a while before use. (which was the only way I found it usable out of the box) Also, the full instruction manual is only available online. I respect the “Go Green” approach but in a situation like this, it was a tad bit frustrating.
The speaker is drop and water resistant, which is a big plus. I haven’t purposely tested either of these yet but it seems very solid and I would have no concerns with leaving it out in the rain or an occasional splash from the pool.
The speaker boasts 16 hours of battery life and I’ve found this to be right on if the device is fully charged. This is more than enough for a long summer BBQ out in the sun. The battery is by far one of the most amazing features of the Bose Revolve +.
App – Honestly, the app doesn’t add much for me. It’s a rather basic app and I find myself reverting to the music app on my iPhone rather than using the limited controls within the Bose application. One bonus the app does provide is the “Party Mode” which allows two Soundlink Speakers to be paired at the same time. This would be great but with the price of the unit, I will be waiting a while before I invest in a second speaker.
Overall – In conclusion, this is a great speaker and I highly doubt there will be any cases of buyer’s remorse. If you’re willing to pay the price, you will not be disappointed. There were some small setbacks in some of the initial setup but nothing to really write home about. There was a firmware update that popped up today as well, not sure if that helped tweak some of the issues I described earlier with the Bluetooth connectivity and charging or not but will update if so. I love the speaker and hope to get a matching one in the near future.

Excellent design.
All of the reviews I read prior to purchasing the Revolve+ were accurate however I'm noticing slightly more diminished sound quality at full volume.
And full volume is loud af, 2-3x louder than my previous Jambox.
I wish the base would hit harder but again, it hits plenty hard for a speaker this size. It does sound better placed closer to a wall.
Seamless connectivity with Bluetooth.
Haven't tested battery life yet.
I'll likely be getting a second to connect the pair as stereo surround for outdoor movie nights.
Nice work Bose!

The sound is clear but the bass is weak. Bose mini Soundlink has stronger bass than Revolves+. If you are looking for a speaker with clear sound and will fill the room with uniform sound and you don't mind a weak bass, Revolves+ may be the speaker for you. For me, I would rather keep my mini Soundlink.

In this review I wanted to compare two 360 speakers (Bose Revolve+ vs the Beoplay A1) in the $250-$300 range. Design, Sound Quality and Functionality are 3 main areas of importance to me. See attached image of both speakers side by side.
Design:
Both have a modern design that can complement the decor. The Bose Revolve+ design is not so unique. There are similar tower-like 360 speakers out there. In other words, you won't know it's a Bose unless you see the logo/label on top of the speaker. The Revolve+ handle and optional base is helpful with it's mobility/convenience. The Beoplay A1 design is one of a kind and looks better in person than the picture. You have to see one for yourself to appreciate the design. However, it is difficult to find the buttons on the Beoplay A1.
Sound Quality: Both speakers do a great job dispersing a 360 sound. The Revolve+ definitely has the signature Bose sound tone/quality, but with more bass and power than the Soundlink color, II & III. If you are a fan of the Bose signature sound, then you will not be disappointed. I do think that the Revolve+ sounds more hollow than the A1. The Revolve+ does get twice as loud as the A1 with little distortion, which is helpful when playing music outdoors. The Beoplay A1 has the signature B&O sound tone and can be modified via the Beoplay App. The sound quality is best between 30%-75%. At low volumes, the A1 sounds like a non-portable high quality speaker connected to mains/power supply.
Functionality: The Revolve+ has very convenient soft buttons on top. I also like the Bose Connect app which allows you to turn on your speaker without having to walk over to the speaker even when the speaker is not plugged in. The A1 needs to be manually turned on everytime you use it and the button can be hard to find. You cannot switch tracks on the A1, you will need the Beoplay app or mobile device to skip songs which is inconvenient. The A1 also gets hot and the volume will automatically lower itself to prevent overheating. I do like being able to use the Apple Watch and Beoplay App to change the tone based on content.
BTW, there is a sound delay when connecting the AUX of the Bose Revolve+. I noticed this when trying to add the Revolve+ to my Airplay system. So, it is not sync compatible when using the AUX input.
I hope this helps.

Sounds good but not groundbreaking. This speaker can easily fill a large room with sound but it does have a few limitations. The bass in this speaker is good for its small size and will appeal to those who don't necessarily like a lot of bass. The mids are the strength of this speaker because they are clear and not muddled, you can sometimes hear background sounds on some tracks. The highs are good but can get kinda harsh when at full volume. This speaker is definitely better than Ue boom and Jbl charge but not $100 more.
Update: After a few days of heavy use I have grown to like the speaker a little more. The battery life is top notch and I can honestly say it does sound better after breaking it in. This speaker may not compete directly with large speakers with the same price tag like the JBl Xtreme but you are honestly paying this kinda of money for the relative small size, controlled but loud sound. The 360 sound is great in an open area but I prefer to set this speaker by a wall so you get much richer bass from the reflection of sound. I have also paired the speaker to a chromecast- audio and it sounds just as good or even better.

I have the original Soundlink speaker and compared to that one this cylindrical speaker has more base and punch and fills the room better. It is meant as an outdoor speaker as well as indoors as it is water resistant and can withstand a splash or light rain.
I like the slightly conical cylinder shape of the new Revolve+, it allows multi-directional sound. It also has a convenient fabric coated handle to grab it and carry it around. This is convenient as it has an awkward shape. All the buttons are on the top – which seems to be pretty typical. It can also be used as a speakerphone for any conference calls. The volume buttons are also on top, this is great because I don’t really want to use a remote – I can either use my streaming device or the speaker itself to turn the sound up or down.
The speaker comes with the USB cord and the plug, and pairs right away as soon as the power is turned on and the Bluetooth button is pressed, no codes need to be entered. It announces the name of the device it has been paired with, so it’s easy to figure out if it’s connected to the right smartphone/tablet. You can also choose a language other than English for the announcements. The bottom of the speaker has a mounting adapter so the speaker can be mounted onto a bracket and can probably be used with a twin speaker.
Both can get fairly loud, especially indoors, but the Bose Soundlink Revolve+ has cleaner sound and delivers great base, it makes you think there is a subwoofer attached to the speaker. For the size - it’s shorter and squatter than the Echo - it produces a real punch. At the max volume the clarity of sound diminishes on Echo but stays clear and true on Revolve+. However, I can tell Echo/Alexa to change the song or just shut up with my voice and I cannot do the same with Revolve+ unless I use my smartphone. Since it looks so similar, I keep wanting to give it voice instructions!
Overall, this is a good speaker, and very portable. Bose products, although expensive hold their value and work for quite a few years while some cheaper products live out their life in a year or two. Given that my teenager is still using the first Soundlink Nylon after 5 years, and uses it in the bathroom with steam shower going and in her bedroom and outdoors, every day. It has been dropped and even sat on a few times and it still works, and I see used ones selling for over $100 still, I am giving this product 4 stars. Once the price is posted I might update it to 5 stars if it’s closer to $200.
