We tested the wiring, and tested if the radio was sending power. Literally didn't work. It took power and turned on fine. Powered the tweeters but wasn't sending enough power to turn on the speakers.
We switched off and on the internal amp and tried everything but doesn't work. It doesn't send enough power from the radio itself.

After purchasing a BOSS Apple CarPlay unit for one of my other cars and really liking it, I decided to purchase another to upgrade my Jeep but I wanted a volume knob. I can’t be pleased more with this unit. It’s been installed and used for the last 8 months and has functioned flawlessly. Bluetooth connects instantly and with the included microphone, people can hear me clearly. It is wired CarPlay, but it has not failed to connect yet, can’t be said about my factory radio in my 22 model vehicle. I didn’t connect the included backup cam on this install, but on my other BOSS units the camera works great.
Great value radio that sounds great and performs like a radio that costs 2 times as much. I have 4 BOSS units now and will continue to use their products as I need more.

After only a few months the screen is going out. You can see in the picture the areas around the dark boxes look awful. Tried different phones and different map apps but they all look like this.

Nice budget unit. AppleCarplay works flawlessly so far. Good sound, easy install. As other have mentioned, no way to change button color, not a deal breaker. Camera resolution isn't the best.

Two things I don’t like, but I can get over them: it’s advertised as having the capability of changing the illumination colors for the buttons. But we have not been able to find how to do that. There’s no option for it in the settings and the instructions don’t mention that feature. I’d like the buttons to be orange to match the rest of my dash’s buttons.
Also, the car play function doesn’t work with my aux cable. A cable is provided but it comes out of the BACK of the unit so I’d have to take the dash apart again and rig some way to use it.
Otherwise, it sounds great, looks great, buttons are responsive, interface is user friendly.

I installed this headunit a few weeks ago. For the price, it is about as you would expect. Better than the cheap chinese no name units but has flaws. Has pretty decent wattage output, drives my aftermarket speakers better than the OEM unit.
Biggest complaints:
1) CarPlay is VERY spotty. Thought it might be my car's built in USB having connection issues -- tried to plug it into the front and that port doesn't work for CarPlay (???). I've resorted to using the built in bluetooth unless I need navigation then I will fight with it for 5 minutes, do a raindance, etc. Connects maybe 4/10 times.
2) The built in amplifier is decent but not great. I have noticed some distortion in higher frequencies. It's annoying enough that I will probably add a 4 channel amplifier for the speakers instead.
3) Cannot change the illumination color
TL;DR Buy an ATOTO and 4 channel amplifier.

Really nice quality screen! I have no problem with this screen in the heat of the 100s, I installed it in a 2015 elantra, literally you only need the adapter and the harness both sold by Metra, the sound quality upgrade it’s just amazing, the quality of the camera it’s like 480p, but it’s really nice! The connectivity it’s flawless, it automatically lowers the volume when you go in revers and it automatically put it back on where it was after you go on Drive, highly recommended!!!
