Broken grilles

Look like the box was previously open & the screw bag torn. The speaker wire was bad & the grilles were broken. Paid for new, but got an open box.

Don't use 6g wire that comes with speakers.

Add your own clips to some 16 gauge wire. Cut a wood board and wired speakers directly into existing speaker wires. System sounds fantastic.

Not a good for on 4th gen Rams

Not a good fit for 4th Gen Rams. The magnets are really big and don’t fit in the front speaker spaces.

These speakers are the real deal!! No doubt.

My car came with factory Bose speaker system and one of them blew so I decided to purchase these Boss Onyx 400w 6x9 speakers to replace both of them since one Bose factory speaker blew. Bottom line is these boss 6x9 Onyx speakers sound better then the Bose speakers the car came with. I have a factory amplifier witch make these speakers hit lovely they hit real smooth and handle bass real good I would recommend these to anyone looking to buy or replace speakers for a low budget cost. They arrived in 2 days and I blast them to the maxx they are crisp I have no regrets. I will be eventually buying more of these speakers no questions asked.

Ehh lol

I was happy with the first two had them set at high. When I got the next two and installled them in my car. I switched them to my 2 channel 800 watt amp and one of the speakers blew. I was upset wasn’t the sound I was looking for. Yes there loud make your ears ring. But I’m picky looking for that right setting with my two twelves. I’ll keep two and keep them set at high but I want basssss I’ll order two different speakers and see if I can wire them differently so they don’t sound so bass static in-the tweeters.

What started as a stereo and new speakers has blown into a system that's nothing short of AWESOME! I know there are tho…

I bought a 1996 Classic Silverado truck that had the original stereo with separate CD player that needed replacing. I rely heavily on reviews before I make any purchases but I decided to "roll the dice" on the Boss 650UA. At 50+ years old I didn't see the need to spend huge money on a stereo for a standard cab truck. One concern that I had was compromising quality for price. WRONG ! What started as a stereo and new speakers has blown into a system that's nothing short of AWESOME !

I know there are those who have unlimited funds that spend thousands on a great stereo, I'm not one of those people.

I bought the Boss 650UA Head Unit, Boss CH6530 Chaos Exxtreme 6.5 " door speakers, the Boss CH4630 4x6" speakers for the rear posts and a Sound Storm EV 400 4 channel amp. It sounded pretty good but lacked bass. I could have stopped there but I continued to improve the system over the next two weeks.

Next was the Sound Storm SSL S4EQ Equalizer. (Sound Storm is Boss). Then I bought 2 Boss Audio CXX10 Chaos Exxtreme 800 Watt 10" Subs and a Boss Audio R1100M Riot 1100 Watt amp to drive them. I was on a roll so why stop there ? lol Next was the Boss Audio NX694 6x9 4 way 800 Watt full range speakers with a Boss Audio PT 1000 Phantom Amp to drive them. All packed into a Standard Cab truck. lol

Also bought a 2 Farad Capacitor and a Power Distribution Block just to be safe. Getting ready to complete my system with 2 Tweeters and then I'm finished.

So with everything said and done I have less than $ 400.00 into this entire system and let me say it ROCKS ! No engine noise, no distortion, just crystal clear and clean music at an affordable price. The 2 Subs under the seats sound fantastic !

I could have bought the Clarion, the Alpine etc., and the price tag would doubled or tripled but for me this is an awesome system that's worth every penny. If I had it to do all over again I wouldn't change a thing !

My suggestions would be TAKE YOUR TIME ! It's any easy "Do It Yourself" install if you follow the wiring diagrams that are provided. Also use the thickest gauge wiring that you can -Amps, Speakers, Battery, Ground, etc.. Don't buy a great system and then skimp on the wire !

As far as the negative comments go, I would ignore them. Boss makes quality audio at affordable prices.

I would have to recommend Boss Audio to everyone !!!

Boss is not like Bose

If you're pay $40 for those, you can pay extra $10 to get Kicker.. Those are Boss not Bose. Boss is cheep and they sound bad comparing even Paioneer. I suggest buying Kicker for the best sound quality and not much higher prices. Paioneer and Sony are nice and not pricey but they are not the best.

Now I would love to return those Boss ones but it's already been more that 30 days since purchasing, so no way.
