BOYA BY-M1 Lavalier Microphone

No Es BOYA. Defectuoso, es una estafa

Acabo de recibirlo, hice una prueba y es bueno , lo compré de uso porque quería ver si funcionaba en un Samsung A13 ya que he comprado un sinfín de lavalier y no me funcionaban. Doy 2 estrellas porque en la foto dice que venía con la esponja reductora de ruidos y este no lo trajo, otra cosa no es Boya, lo venden como Boya BYM1, dice claramente SEVENOAK, tanto el micrófono como la caja y manual. Lo conservaré porque me funciona, de lo contrario lo devolvería solamente por el engaño y manipulación.

Reduje la estrella a una, porque al tratar de probar el micrófono en la PC el Jack de 3.5mm no entra en el adaptador, está dañado en su interior. A devolver.

looks like a very great microphone but sadly it does work for me

my voice is not getting through in a PC but

coonecting it to my phone it works properly

so I do not recomment this product for PC related or gaming related usecase

I'm extremely disappointed because I saw several tutorials about microphones and I chose to buy this Boya because I believed it was good, but unfortunately it was the worst microphone I've ever had in my life, it fluctuates the volume of the voice all the time and captures all the noise around it, the audio it gets bad. unfortunately, when I bought it I was on vacation and I didn't use it, when I went back to work I realized this and my exchange deadline had already expired, meaning lost money and a microphone in the trash

Five years later and it’s sticking good!!!

I purchased this back in 2019 because I was continuing to do more and more on-location reporting. I combined this with the H1 handy Zoom recorder. I continue to be impressed by the audio quality as it does a great job picking up just your vocals in a loud area as it makes that background noise barely noticeable. When it’s time for me to clean up and enhance the audio in a program like Adobe Audition, I don’t have to do that much work. Very solid mic quality out the gate. I also appreciate the length of the cord. The pictures I’ve attached do not do it justice but this cord goes about 20 feet. So you can connect yourself directly to whatever you’re recording and move around at the same time without feeling restricted. I appreciate the clip on for the mic and the clip-on that’s on the actual device although I usually like to leave it in my pocket. I’ve used it a few times each year since 2019 and the battery that comes with it still works to this day. Pro-tip: As you can see in the photo the switch has to be down. When you have it this way the device is off. If you ever see this switch up towards cameras and you see green exposed underneath, your device is on. The battery will drain even if you aren’t connected to anything. Always make sure your device is off when inoperable. In a day and age where a lot of low budget Bluetooth mic devices have connectivity issues, wired mics like this are awesome. I also recommend using this with a Rode SC4 so you can truly tap and enhance the sound from this microphone while also investing in a Type C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter for you iPad and phone users out there. This is a nice cheap microphone, but it only works properly if you connect it to an input/output jack (those that accept a headset). If your input and output jacks are separeted, you'll need an adapter; a splitter like the one in the photo.

It was not brand new

The product was not new. I was an open package...and the battery didnt work.

Impressed for Price Point

I was really impressed with the quality of the sound for this low price point. Really pleased!

The 1/4 adapter is too short for the 1/8 male plug. (See photo)

I bought it to be input into a 1/4 jack. The adapter provided would receive the 1/8 plug all the way in completely….

it makes me sound GREAT!

I plugged this lavalier mic into my computer and started a YouTube Channel. The Lavalier Mic delivers high-quality sound at a very low price. Thanks a ton.

Casing melted

The battery casing melted! Useless

Came with a crushed Mic

I’ve cancelled before because of this very same issue yet I came back to give it another try. This microphone arrived dead on arrival and the mic was actually crushed!

This was advertised as a renewed item yet it arrived in a badly torn box and was clearly not inspected let alone ‘renewed’. I am terribly disappointed because I needed it for a photo shoot tomorrow.

I will be returning this immediately.

Cable of Microphone very long and the sound is crisp 👌

I did a video, mumbling the Pokémon song, the words I am saying is intentionally not clear but as you heard in the video the audio quality sounds like i am talking directly into the phone . But I left the phone on my bed and went outside the room and leave just enough space at the door for the microphone cable to come through. It works and I am impressed.

Worse under $20 product.

Seriously, this product should be under $10. This is the cheapest zero quality product I have ever owned. First, it did not come with a battery, and the description clearly states that there is a battery included. Secondly, when the mic snaps onto the clip, it requires tremendous force to unsnap it. Thirdly, the damn mic fell off when I was attaching the sponge cover. It seemed like it was just glued on with the weakest glue money could ever buy. I had big plans for recording audio and the mic ruined my entire plans. I do not recommend this product. You clear do not get what you pay for because this product is not worth $20. Save your money and look for a better product.

No Battery

Just received BoyA by M1. What happened to the LR44 battery non included. Included instruction manual package contents has battery listed. This seller didn’t include a battery.

Best Beginner Mic Money Can Buy

Best mic money can buy for a beginner. The cord is long and allows more freedom than other mics and this thing is great quality. I really didn’t expect that for the price but it was amazing!

iPhone 11 Pro vs Boya Microphone - NO HUGE DIFFERENCE

Overall, amazing sound quality. This microphone is best for when your subject is farther away from the camera. I did a little sound comparison against my iPhone 11 pro's onboard microphone. There doesn't seem to be too much of a difference in quality or loudness. Then again, if I was 15 feet away, I'm sure the iPhone would have just barely picked me up while the Boya would still be close to my face.

Final Rating: It's worth the money. Spend your money on this product.

Perfect Price for a handy Micophone

For the longest time i have been recording video from my Samsung Android phone and have noticed that if you really want to capture your audio you need this Boya By-M1! If your wanting to start your youtube channel and is needing that one product that could help you get heard this is the product for you! I love how you are able to use this mic on any smart phone and computer! I totally recommend this Boya mic. Where ever my phone goes my Boya M1 goes with it.

Great and Inexpensive Microphone

I really like this to help record my youtube videos. I use a Canon t6i and the clicking noise that happens during zooming in and out is quite annoying. This helps tremendously! The cord is super long (20ft.) and the lavaliere is very sturdy and made of metal. There's a switch that allows you to record your audio on either your camera or a smartphone. If you use the camera setting, be sure to have backup batteries (LR44) and to turn it off after use. All in all, I do recommend this microphone.

Boya Lavalier Microphone is worth every penny!

I had been looking for a small mic that would be mac compatible I wanted something good so I purchased SmartLav for $85! Not worth it it feels cheap and the cord is very short plus it disnt work with my Mac I tried purchasing a splitter. Then I found the Boya lavalier mic!! It worked great out of the box and sounds great! It is easy to put together and the cord is very long, doesn't feel flimsy or cheap it is very good quality and sounds great when making YouTube videos which is why I purchased it, works with my Mac, iPhone and iPad and God knows what else.

It is a great microphone and the price is right for $20 you can't go wrong it is better then all those expensive mic's out there.

You get more than what you pay for!

Way better than expected for the price! Not only is the sound quality superb, but it's also amazing quality. Comes with metal battery pack that switches between camera and smartphone, one battery, pop filter, 20 feet cord, extended adapter jack, velcro strap and clip on microphone and battery pack. You really get a bang for you buck. For $20, no one can complain. It's great for interviews AND informative speaking. I personally think it sounds better without the pop filter but it's great to have it. Highly recommend for anyone who wants acceptable audio quality. Also the 20 feet cord seems way longer than it is which is always a good thing!

Fast shipping

Shipping was on time. Packaging was nice but no real instructions on how to set up and work properly. I haven't figured out how to use it with my new Webcam on my laptop... for some reason it only let me record using my Webcam audio and not the mic but hopefully I figure it out this weekend and update my review. It seems very heavy duty and it comes with a battery.

Perfect accessory for iOS devices

First, look at the price. It's cheaper than the Audio-Technica version of the same microphone. Next, look at the features and all the ways this microphone can be used. It can connect to Android and iOS based smartphones and tablets to enhance audio performance for video recordings. It can also be used with a DSLR camera as it has an option to be power driven (battery included) which takes away the need for a shotgun microphone when vlogging or doing reviews. Lastly, check out the cord! It has a 20' long cord - unheard of for most lapel mics. This allows you to walk around and do demonstrations on video without having to move the camera. No loss of audio as the microphone is attached to your lapel and moves with you.

The audio pickup of this microphone is omni-directional and it definitely makes a positive difference when using it. I picked up this mic after doing some research for microphones I could use with my iPad and iPhone to enhance onboard sound. This one is perfect for my uses and at twenty bucks the price was right too.

An excellent accessory I highly recommend!

Great product. Sounds great. For the price, you really cannot beat what this product offers you for audio. The length allows you to go have a lot of flexibility in how you use it. The reason I give it 4 stars is that it does take sometime to learn how to use it. Make sure to read the directions. Once you learn it, it becomes so easy to use and you will not regret this purchase.
