Affordable DAC amp

I ordered this specifically because I was looking for a decent, affordable DAC amp that I could just keep with my Anbernic RG Rotate. The speakers on the RG rotate are really bad and it doesn't have a headphone jack, so this DAC Amp allows me to plug in my analog headset to game that way. I'm far from an audiophile, in fact I just learned what a DAC amp was when I started looking for ways to plug my headset into my device without a headphone jack. This allowed me to connect my headphones just fine. It's almost the exact same brushed metal color as my RG rotate, so I'm a big fan of its appearance plus its portable enough to just chuck it in the RG rotate's case and carry it around with it. The sound is much much better than the factory speaker and that's all I really care about. I really like that it accepts both headphone jack sizes as well and even comes with a USB A adapter. I think for the price they're asking it's a pretty great buy, and I haven't had any issues with it... but I'm sure an audiophile will have a lot more input on this than I do.

Excellent little amp with excellent Price to Performance

TL;DR - A great little Amp that punches above it's price point!

At sub $30 (as of July 2026), I was not expecting much from this small Amp, but was pleasantly surprised.

Firstly, compared to other portable amps of similar size, this one fits nicely either on the side of a computer or the bottom of a phone without feeling like it's going to snap off. It's portable enough to throw in your pocket and take with you, and flexible enough in it's connections to be used for multiple solutions.

Build quality seems solid all-around, especially at this price point, but if I had to nit-pick it would be the USB-C connection as it wiggles around just a bit when fully plugged in; not a huge deal but could potentially lead to more wear connectivity issues in the future if you've got it connected to a phone in your pocket all the time. But that said, you could definitely have this connected to your phone in your pocket all the time and barely notice it was there. The advantage of not having a super tight-fit for the USB-C connection, is that this should be compatible even with some thicker phone cases, which is a nice bonus.

In terms of sound quality, overall I was really impressed even without using the application. I'm using this to drive a pair of V-Moda M-100's which aren't the most difficult to drive, but definitely perform better with a bit more power. Overall the sound is really good but the bass is slightly less punchy and the mids are a little less pronounced than my Hiby FC4 amp (which is also more than 2x the price).

Really happy with this little Amp and it's definitely one worth considering if you want a decent amp without having to drop a lot of money.

Works as expected

I picked up this DAC mainly to use with my iPhone 17 Pro Max so I could connect it to the speaker system at work, and it has done exactly what I needed. It was simple to connect with a USB-C cable, and the 3.5mm output worked perfectly with the audio input on the speaker system.

The sound quality is noticeably cleaner than plugging directly into a basic adapter. Music has a little more detail and better separation, and the output is strong enough to drive the system without any issues. The compact size is also a plus since it fits easily in my pocket and doesn’t add much bulk to my phone.

I haven’t needed to spend much time adjusting the EQ since it already sounds good for my setup, but it’s nice to have that option available. The dual 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs make it more versatile if I decide to use different headphones in the future. Even though I’ve never even seen a 4.4mm cable before.

The only downside is that it can get slightly warm after extended use, but nothing that has affected performance. Overall, it’s been a reliable little DAC that lets me connect my iPhone to my workplace speaker system with better sound quality than I expected. For the price was an easy and cheap solution.

A solid little DAC that works with Macs. Skip the app.

I have had the worst luck with getting cheap DAC adapters to work with my Mac, until now. This one finally worked plug-and-play, and the Audio Midi app also lets me choose a specific bitrate and depth up to 32-bit/384 kHz. The sound quality is definitely crisper, with a stronger signal level than my MacBook's stock output, and it works great for driving my large headphones.

The sound quality is remarkable for such a compact adapter, and its build quality is pretty solid. It also includes a detachable USB-C-to-USB-A adapter for whichever connectivity you prefer. I don't love the T-shaped form factor, as you will likely block nearby USB ports, but this can obviously be worked around. I only tried the 3.5mm port, but a 4.4mm port also exists for audiophile-grade connectivity.

The weak spot is the lack of an iOS or Mac app, and from what I see on their website, direct download of the Android app is a no-go from a security perspective. The advertised "web-based" EQ feature, requiring an account and login, was an instant turnoff, costing one star.

Overall, it's worth the money, and it works without drivers. Skip the app nonsense and enjoy.

Will work without the app

This little dac includes a card to download the Walk Play app... not from the Play Store but an apk directly from that website. I refuse. Had this been a BQEYZ app, then maaaaybe, but I'm not in the habit of installing unknowns on my phone.

For just a dac, it's good--neither 3.5 nor 4.4 exhibit any audible noise on my Galaxy S25U. Plugging it in prompted USB Audio Player Pro and HiBy Music for exclusive mode, also great. I'd describe the sound as fairly neutral, but if I'm being honest, I have a hard time telling DACs in this price range apart if they're not using some sort of EQ, etc. As long as it sounds clean and it's fairly inexpensive, I think it's a winner.

Build quality is good. Just a note on this design is if you use a case, you might be able to connect it but in my case, a little bump to the side would disconnect it.

Can't get the app, so it doesn't work

This requires an app. Three ways to get it are through the Google Play Store (I have Android), through a QR code, or from the manufacturer website. I typed walkplay in the Play Store searchbox and couldn't find it; the closest app was walkpay. My camera couldn't find the QR code, maybe because it's tiny. So I tried the website; it was in Chinese (see the screenshot).

I'm sorry to give this one star because I really wanted it to work! But if I can't install the app, I can't use this. Goodbye.

An excellent compact budget DAC

I have quite a few DAC‘s in my house and I would rate this one as decent. The highlight is the price and the size. Based on those two features, I would definitely buy this again.

For simplicity, I’m going to compare with an Apple USB-C to 3.5 mm headphone adapter. The Apple adapter is fairly reliable and puts out what I would call above average sound for these smaller form factor DAC. This C30 DAC when I first started listening, mainly just sounded louder. I can definitely pick out more details without too much scrutiny. When listening to clean pianos and guitars, the C30 is definitely better than the Apple adapter in my testing. I did not test the 4.4 mm port because I didn't have anything that size readily available. Considering I am using Apple devices for my testing, I couldn't take advantage of the software since it's not available at this point in time. Using various equalizers to optimize the sound, the C30 was able to produce a superior mid range. I didn't notice a huge difference in the low frequencies.

Out of the box, set up was absolutely simplistic. All you have to do is plug and play. I'm sure the software would've been helpful, but I did not actually need it to make the device work. I did attempt to use the DAC on several iOS devices. My iPhone 15 Pro Max, my M2 iPad Air 11 inch, and my M2 iPad Air 13 inch. The C30 was compatible with all of the devices I tested and I was completely satisfied with how it performed.

The best thing about this particular DAC is the size. There are definitely smaller adapters on the market, but none that I have found at this size with this sound quality. While I do like the size and shape of this adapter, I would prefer if the 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm ports were faced downward instead of to either side. The right angle design is sort of problematic in my opinion. Not enough to stop me from purchasing this again, but if the ports were facing downward, I would be much more likely to purchase this in the future.

The last thing I should mention is that I did not have any connectivity issues during longer listening sessions. These type of connectivity issues typically are because of the USB port rather than the DAC in my experience, but I think it's worth noting.

After my time with the C30, I am very happy with it. I would not classify it as a high-end DAC, but more of a compact audiophile budget DAC. I think the asking price is extremely fair and I would definitely purchase this again in the future. It would make an excellent gift for an audiophile. Five out of five stars.

Good control, if you can bring yourself to install the app

People are going back to wired analog headphones, but doing so can leave you without the ability to adjust the EQ. This little amp restores that ability, provided that you install the app. The problem is that the app is not found in the Play Store so you'll have to download it from their website. If you can get past that, you'll find that this amp can give you the ability to fine tune the sound profiles to your liking or you can choose from a selection of presets. Even without the app, the amp works well to provide good sound. Works with both android and windows devices. The build quality is good and the aluminum looks sleek. Can easily fit inside the coin pocket of your jeans when not in use. Good value if you're comfortable using the app (it doesn't require any permissions, but does require an account).

Simple and portable DAC dongle with decent detail for the price

This is a very simple DAC dongle that is easy to carry around and convenient for everyday use. Its biggest strength is portability. It is small, uncomplicated, and works well when you want something quick and easy to bring with you.

That said, there is definitely a limit to the sound quality. It does not perform at the level of more serious DACs, so expectations should stay realistic. Still, compared with other products around this price range, the resolution seems fairly good and the overall performance is respectable.

Overall, this is a handy little DAC dongle that is easy to use and travel with. It has some clear limitations in sound quality, but for the price, it offers decent detail and solid value.

Works with a lot of wired headphones and even your PC.

The BQEYZ C30 usb-c portable DAC amp was a great surprise. It is truly hifi. Was able to give life to high quality audio streams and files. The DAC also has 2 outputs, it comes with your regular headphone jack (3.5mm) and a balanced jack (4.4mm), which gives you more versatility and compatibility for different headphones. The DAC does what it’s supposed to do, which is to convert the signal without coloring it and leaving your headphones to do the coloring on its own, which is what I personally prefer. This is not just a DAC but also has a built-in amp. It uses a chip combo of KT02H20 (DAC)+ OPA97220 (amp). The DAC supports up to 32 bit 384kHz while the amp can power an iems or a portable headphone up to 57 mW @ 32 ohms, which is enough for most headphones and iems. Just be sure to be aware of your headphone’s power requirements. The DAC also has an app to let you customize your listening experience by giving you a 10-band eq to much offers a lot of functionality to adjust your personal sound preferences. The only downside is that iThe app was a little finicky when I tried it so if you really need to eq, use your device’s own equalizer instead. The DAC also looks really nice. It is very compact and sturdy. It fits flush on the bottom of my phone when I take off the case. It is made of metal which helps with heat dissipation but it still is pretty light, about 10 g. What I also like is that they have added a usb-c to usb-a adapter which extends its functionality as you could use it on older PCs that doesn’t have a usb-c input. This is also a pretty easy way to upgrade your older PC’c sound card without installing anything inside as this DAC can be used through your USB to run your audio. I tested this DAC with an iPhone 15 pro max, a couple of Android phones (an older Alcatel and a Samsung), and my laptop. It worked great with all of them. For the PC, just let windows install the driver and it should work without a hitch. Overall, a pretty great buy.

Works well, but doesn't fit my phone with case

BQEYZ C30 USB‑C Portable DAC Amp, 3.5mm & 4.4mm Dual Output, Hi‑Res 32bit/384kHz Decoder with OPA Amplifier, 10‑Band EQ Tuning, 57mW@32Ω Mini Audio Adapter for Android/windowx (silver)

My observations (see unboxing video):

We got this because there's no headphone jack on our phones (as is the case, I suppose, with most new phones). Unfortunately, this doesn't fit with our phone cases--one is rather thick, I guess, but the other isn't).

The function, though, is great. And, I tried it out on the computer, and the USBA adapter works, too. No drivers, or anything. I haven't downloaded the equalizer app they promote, and my audio player already has one built in.
