BUGANI M118 Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Great Sound, but short life.

The sound and functionality is great. It is fantastic (when working) for the price I paid for it in 07/22. However in 09/23 the unit stopped working, and there are no contact numbers on their website. The problem is with the power circuit, it will not power on. I took the unit apart to troubleshoot and / or to replace the battery. The battery has voltage across the outer pins to the center pin as it should when UNPLUGGED from the circuit board. When you plug it in, it shorts out and there is only minimal 0.18v across each terminal. In digging further I found that C129, 220 micro f capacitor was not soldered properly and there was evidence of corrosion on the solder connections where the battery pack connects to the PCB. In particular the unsoldered connection is an indication of low quality. Unfortunately I could not get it working and the unit has more than doubled in price over the recent 14 months.

I also had some trouble with the adhesive holding the face plates on the side ports, which I was able to easily fix a couple of months back.

If it lasted 5 years, it would be worth the current price, but not when it fails after 14 months.

It's okay!

It's a decent speaker but not really to my liking it's definitely not as powerful to me as it states!

I've had many bigger speakers with less watts that has higher volume! I mean the speaker sounds really good with decent bass but it just doesn't go very loud to me at highest volume! But overall it's good!

Good Speaker, Horrible Build Quality

Speaker lasted me about 2 months, took it it outside a total of one time for 30 minutes. Was never dropped, always babied. 2 months in the speaker has completely failed to charge at all or hold a charge. Tried replacing usb c cables cleaning etc, pins arent bent either. Very very disappointed. Video of it turning on and "charging" for 4+ hours on two different brand new cables.

Massive portable volume

If you want to set the tone and play music or audio in an open space for about 20 people or more this is your portable speaker. The shape reminds me of old boom boxes and it is fun to carry around on your shoulder blasting music. Only con is seeing the usb C charge port to plug it in but that is not really a problem. It is shown in second picture.

Good just I'm just nit picky

I felt like this is a great product to buy at a great price I feel like it delivers awesome sound especially for the price point although I really wasn't too happy with the volume fluctuation at some points it feels as though the volume cuts in and out when playing some songs it's barely noticeable but it's something that I noticed otherwise I feel like this is a good product with the USB ports the mic plugin at that price point it's great

Great Value and Packs a Punch

The bass on this speaker is insane! It made my EDM, rap, and indie music shine. The mids and highs are decent but not audiophile territory. However, for $60 you can go wrong with this speaker!

SMALL BUT POWERFUL A MUST BUY!

Wow! This sneaker is really really loud it might sound low do to me recording through the phone but omg it’s powerful. The sound quality is really clear as well. It’s going to be perfect for my little one birthday party and other special occasions.

Bugani

Overall good sound quality up close, but sounds weaker less than 10 feet away.

Great speaker. Very inexpensive for what you get!

Excellent speaker! And well sized too! So cool looking!

Sound quality of this thing is off the charts. Good bass, good treble.

The case seems very well designed. All ports are covered and seems waterproof. It really feels like this thing could handle a drop.

All in all, its a good deal 5/5 would recommend!

Summer time fun!

This is a Wonderful Product for the price and Design! My Family and I are looking forward to using our Bugani Bluetooth speaker. This is a great design and will work well some of our Summer activities!

This speaker does not dissapoint!

Sturdy, plenty loud if you want to, the design is attractive and the sound quality is amazing! No issue with battery life, I don't even remember the last time I charged it. It's such a good speaker that I bought a 3rd one!

Surprised

It instantly turned on and connected right away with zero delay. We decided to test it out in the living room and wasn't prepared for the full volume and bad to turn it down. Sounds amazing!

Awesome

I’m 65 years old living in a senior complex blasting away Jimi Hendrix’s Foxey Lady....the speaker works great....it connected easy to my iPad...it will shutoff after awhile if it’s not being used to save its charge...

Acceptable but other better speakers are available

For the price it’s a pretty decent speaker, but I think you should just drop the extra $10 to get a W-king D9, or hell maybe even a D8. Both of those speakers are better sounding with more bass and better clarity than this, which would make sense because the only thing this speaker has are just two full-range drivers. Both of those W-king speakers have both twitters and subwoofers. Also with the whole M118 thing you’d think it be better than the previous models but I’ve listened to the oldest model and it actually sounds better. I unscrewed the grills off of both of them and found that the older cheaper model of Bugani speaker also has subwoofers and tweeters so I really don’t know why you to get this over literally anything else. Unfortunately for me I wasn’t able to return this by the time I found out about the W-King but I highly recommend that anyone who reads this either drop the extra $10 or just get a older model of Bugani

Great sound when used with EQ app.

I've only used the speaker for a bit now, but it seems to have great sound when I use it with an equalizer app or the EQ in Spotify on my phone. I love the design, which is one of the main reasons I chose this one in a sea of Bluetooth speakers.

Even Better than my First Smaller Bugani

I have the other smaller Bugani, so I knew I’d like the sound but this is really has much better bass and richer sound . So happy to leave this on the boat when we beach it and it’s waterproof. Bring on the summer

Awesome value and sound.

This Bugani m118 Bluetooth speaker is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I needed a quality speaker that sounds great, has a long battery life, and can stand up to all weather. The m118 does all 3! I am going to tell all of my clients, family, and friends about Bugani and their fantastic products.

Great indoor outdoor bluetooth speakers

One of the best bluetooth speakers. 50watt speakers sound amazing. Easily connects to mobile devices. This speaker has great battery life and so far not had any issues. Build quality is great and rugged and can be used foe indoor and outdoor purposes. Super happy with the product. Highly recommend with 3 weeks of usage

Excellent sound for the price.

Well built, easy to set up, simple controls and awesome sound!

Bugani - New leader in portable speakers

This speaker is awesome. The sound quality is perfect. It competes with the best in the category and even beats all of them. The build quality is top notch. I am a music lover and I always wanted to buy a best music system. But the best in the category are so pricy and I always postponed buying them looking at the prices. I found this to be in the budget range and with excellent reviews caught my eye and I just ordered it with out a second thought. This speaker did not disappoint me with the beautiful look and awesome music.

You can also use this as power bank. So on a vacation day outside if your mobile runs out of charging, this can save you.

The build and look of it gives the best impression. The sound is more than enough for outdoor usage. Being water-proof makes it ideal if you want to use it by the pool.

With the aux 3.5 cable you can hook it up with TV/Projector to make the experience even better.

Over all a nice purchase, and I am in love with it already. Every weekend is fun with this in our family and every one enjoys the music.

Provides loud clear sound at high volumes all in a sleek design.

I bought this speaker because I wanted something more powerful than the small 20w BT speakers. But I originally bought so I can DJ wherever I want with a small numark DJ controller. Small enough still to be somewhat compact and delivers great clear sound at high volumes all in a nice sleek design. Battery life is really good too. I've had several compliments on the speaker. I'm %1000 satisfied!

Update: I asked my friends 14 yr old son to customize my speaker. I asked for him to out the wu W 🙌🏽 and MF DOOM mask in there. And wow. Just look.

Topnotch

I've had dozens of bluetooth speakers. From altek lansing to JBL. This is by far the biggest bang for your buck. Even with a booster equalizer I couldn't get it to distort. The base Hits hard and tight with nice clean highs. Excellent quality. I highly recommend it for the money

Real boom box💥

This is the real boom box, no need to worry about battery backup. Great sound quality.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor celebration 🎉

Excellent sound!

Really Liked sound quality.

Weighty like an old school boom box.

Nice big size.

No battery indicator during charge or use.

Charge port could be relocated so that it is not so obstructed by the rubber water seal.

No complaints about battery life so far.

Does not seem to be able to pair as master/slave for stereo play.

I would buy again and recommend to friends

It's good for the price, audiophiles stay away

The quality of sound is good but not great. I compared it to my jbl charge 4 which is almost twice the price and you can tell a difference. The battery life is great and it's cool that there is a mic port too for karaoke. It's a good deal for the money you're spending on it as you'll get the same functionality as a charge 4 but in a larger package with a lesser quality of sound.

Sounds great

Out of the box the product feels durable and I would feel comfortable with it in the rain. The mic and aux functionality is awesome as well. I look forward to testing out the mic function.

I can't speak for the battery life as I just inboxes and plugged in. Maybe a few days with this and I will have a better idea.

Money well spent

I bought this to use in Lake Tahoe when I rented a cabin with my friends. For something not too large, this gave really great sound. Even when I turned the music to the loudest volume to test it, it didn’t make any crackling noise. But it was so loud I had to turn it to 60% volume. The base was strong and the tremble was perfect. The battery life on this was amazing, I didn’t even charge it and just started using it right out the box and it lasted 5 hours of playing. Next time I’ll charge it fully and then test the battery life again, I’ll keep you guys posted. Best bang of my buck. I would have to say money well spent.
