Got it 12 days ago. It’s comfortable but not the most comfortable I’ve had but it was only $100 so is what it is. The part that bothers me is it’s only 12 days old and the clear coat on the spreader bar is already pealing so the wood won’t be protected. I’ll post a pic with the review.

I've owned and used a lot of hammocks in my day, and this was by far the worst one ever. Really cheap rope, more like string, and there are huge gaping holes in it. This wouldn't hold a toddler, let alone a full grown adult man. The supplier has no means of communication and their website doesn't work. Save yourself the trouble I went through returning this. Move on, find something else.

I ordered this for my 80 year old mom as a gift and it started falling apart in less than 2 months and only a few uses.

Wayyyy too stretchy. I put it on my standard sized hammock frame and then took a seat. I fell straight to the concrete ground and landed on my back. Nice quality but this item would do best between two treats about 25 feet apart.

Nice hammock, good size but I’ve had mine for less than two months and the lacquer on the wood is already peeling and one of the wood slats is warped. That is just from being outdoors. I’ve only used it 3 times. My old hammock is over 15 years old and it was better.

Junk! Complete junk! I’ve had it 31 days, used it once, and today noticed a critical rope is broken. Too late for a return, the seller wasn’t reachable, and I’m out a hammock.

Not the best hammock but for the price, it will do for now. It measured 10ft out of the box but when you sit and stretch it out, it does go to 13ft. The weaving could be improved 10fold

This is a beautiful hammock. It's beautifully made and looks like it will be very comfortable. The rope seems to be soft. Unfortunately, the company shipped us a hammock with one of its wooden crossbars broken and looked as though it had been previously returned to them. We didn't even fully open the hammock once we saw the break. We would have loved to try it out on a warm sunny day, but it is in the trash without even being fully opened up. Since we didn't open the box until it was just slightly warmish out and just past the window of return they refuse to do anything about it. Money down the drain on a product that was previously damaged merchandise and sent to us as if it were new. (Even if we could return it, they would have us pay for shipping.) Very disappointed in the values of this company. This looked like it could be a great product, but will not purchase from this company again.
Heed my warning. This is a total piece …
I weigh 120 pounds and I am hitting the bottom bar. I have pulled it as tight as it will go. This is a 13 foot Hammock. Most of the footage is just the ropes from the spreader bars. I have a 15 foot hammock stand.
This is not a hammock for a hammock stand. This is a hammock for trees. Then I’m sure it would be fine. But it is falsely advertised as some thing that would work with a hammock stand.

Bought this as a cooler alternative to my fabric Algoma hammock. Measured the Algoma and it was 13 feet ring to ring. I got this hammock and it was noticeably shorter. I laid them out side by side and the 13 foot mark was at the very tip of the chains on the rings. Thankfully I can still fit in it (6’1”). Good enough for what it’s for, but wanted others to be aware. In addition, I did not receive the tree hooks as advertised and others reported in previous reviews.

I didn't pay attention to the length that says 13ft. My hammock stand is 11.8 ft distance for the hooks. It looked great when I hung it but when I got on it ,I sank to the ground. Touching the lower pole. Ouch! I just assumed since it looked exactly like the I replaced with it was the right one. Of course it sat in the box way past return time. Note to self test your products right away!!

Last year, due to an unfortunate lawnmowing incident I damaged a hammock that I had enjoyed for 2 to 3 years.
But, nay. This hammock is so saggy that even after getting it almost directly attached from tree to tree, my butt still basically touches the ground when I am laying in it. For comparisons sake, I weigh about 155 pounds. The knots seem very loose, and the gaps between the ropes are either very very close together or almost big enough you could put a softball through it.
All in all, this is a disappointment, because the ropes are soft and comfortable, but I’m folded like a taco, which is just not that comfortable.
I am further worried that as this hammock stretches out – which all hammocks do – it will be unusable. Of course, I bought this earlier in the spring and my return window expired three days ago. My bad.

This hammock is classic and the rope is soft, comfortable, with a touch of stretch. It was easy to hang between two trees in our backyard. It is wide enough for two of us to cozy up together in it and not flip over.

Unfortunately the Castaway Living 13 ft. Double Traditional Hand Woven Cotton Rope Hammock has begun to break after 1 year of very light usage.
Note this hammock was left outside during summer weather which included rain but put into storage during winter.
If you are looking for a hammock to last several summers I would not recommend you purchase this item.

It was used daily and pretty good up until one of the tree hooks snapped while I was swinging on it with my daughter. Our combined weight is max 190lbs. If you go with a cheap hammock like this, I at least recommend searching for stronger hooks.

After more than 2 years in the blazing Florida sun, with frequent oceanfront thunderstorms, the cotton hammock shows NO signs of fraying. Similar looking ones from a well-known department store (with a distinctive round, red logo) frayed and ripped to pieces in 10-11 months. Excellent purchase.
What I would change:
1. Offer for the round rings woven in at each end a stainless steel option. Our rings haven't rusted through yet, but they will eventually for our maritime location.
2. Make the end chains easily detachable for those who don't want them.
These are but quibbles, and it is a great hammock.

I used to buy my hammocks from Cabela’s, but they have discontinued the make. I previously bought a Hammock for $279.00 from L.L. Bean & I was very disappointed in the quality of the rope. I have returned it! I purchased this one & I am more than happy! It’s a better quality and a savings of over $200!!!

I took it in on the Fall. Still didn’t last.

We bought this hammock to replace one we've had for years. I was specifically looking for a larger hammock at a reasonable price. But you get what you pay for with this product. I bought it in Oct 2020 and by April 2021 it was falling apart.
Our conditions: we kept it outside all the time exposed to the elements, as we did our last one. We have kids and it gets moderate use every day after school while we play outside. It supported multiple kids fine. And it was comfortable and stable overall.
But the real problem is the drill holes in the cross bar that the rope feeds through. The holes are very roughly drilled. So it quickly sands away at the rope as the rope moves and flexes with use. In other words, using it makes it fall apart.
Now I have to buy another in less than a year. I'll be sure to avoid this cheap option and look for one that has better quality materials.

I bought this as a Christmas gift in December 2020, knowing it would not get used until summer 2021 by family members. It was installed on July 19th and after only 2 weeks of usage the ropes on one end broke around the wooden crossbar. It never had more than 175 lbs on it at one time. I have a similar hammock that is on it's 3rd summer with no issues. This hammock is definitely of inferior quality. Do not buy unless you want to be deeply disappointed.

I bought one last year and loved it so much I decided I needed another one. These hammocks are great!

Comfortable and sturdy. Very easy to install on a hammock stand. I am a woman who isn’t handy and I installed it myself.

I am in love with this hammock! It is perfect exactly what I wanted. It’s comfy and looks amazing

I’m relaxing in this comfy hammock right now. It’s a bargain for the price —sturdy and made well enough. I’d buy it again.

Love my new hammock! This mesh style is so much more comfortable than the solid material hammocks. Will have to update on durability as time passes. It arrived quickly and in perfect shape with all hardware. Looks sturdy, and I’m very happy with it so far!

I bought this June 23, 3020. We took it in the house in November and got it back out this April. This is what it looks like now. We have had about 4 hammocks over the last 20 plus years. Never have they lasted less than a year
Kristi
Super great durability and quality! Was easy to figure out as well, when testing it out we had many people laying on it and pulling on it and it held up amazingly! I can say my ONLY complaint would be that the rope is a little hard and kind of uncomfortable not really for the body but they like dig into your head so we have added a outdoor pillow for a quick fix.

UPDATE: REFUND RECEIVED: The item description and photos clearly show the wood spreader bar to have countersunk holes and a finish. The attached photo shows this is NOT accurate. The item description really sells this hammock as a viable alternative to the higher priced hammocks as it has all the same features at a much lower price . The only positive, is the company ( formerly DFOHome) promptly accepted my return request ( refund not made yet tho - need a few more days to see if it happens) Additional the company no longer list a phone number. I have purchased items prior with this company under its former name without indecent but will hesitate to deal with them again especially since there no way to contact other than e-mail .

Love it! Super easy to install. Great quality for the price and very attractive. It held both me and my husband, 330 pounds, perfectly. So comfortable! Would highly recommend!
